Su Y The Winnebago Park district cheer and dance camp is a unique experience for your children. Camp is open to boys and girls K- 8th grade June 10-12. As cheer and dance are often split up and kids are told to pick this camp will offer an option for kids to try out both. At the camp instructors will be teaching 34 cheers as well as a small dance. At the end of the camp participants will perform for parents and show off what they have learned. The two leaders of the camp are Maddy Gibbons and Grace Weinrich they have extensive backgrounds of dance and teaching experience. Camp will be at the Winnebago Sports Park on the Jr. Tackle Field Age Groups: K-3rd grade from 9 – 11 a.m. Performance at 10:45 a.m. on June 12 4-8th grade from 1 – 3 p.m. Performance at 2:45 a.m. on June 12 Registration Fee: $35. 7 on 7 Football
7 on 7 is a great way to learn the game of Football. This will be an instructional program for 4th – 6th grade players to teach the basics of football in clinic format. Players will work on drill and games that involve skills such as throwing, receiving, passing and blocking. 7 on 7 is non-contact. Players will receive a jersey and a helmet for the season. Practices will be Tuesday – Thursday from 5 -7 p.m. in the Sports Park. First practice day TBD. Games will be held on Saturdays in the park on the Jr. Tackle Field. Times TBD.
Jr. Tackle Football
School. Practices will be held Monday through Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. prior to the 1st game. Practices will he held Tuesday through Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. after the 1st game. Players should wear shoes, tshirt, shorts and helmet to their first three (3) practices. All players must participate in at least ten (10) practices before they are eligible to play in games. All parents will be required to attend the Mandatory Parent Meeting before their child can participate in practices and/or games. Location, date and time to be determined. All parents will be required to volunteer for at least 2 spots on the Volunteer List. Child/children will not be allowed to play in one (1) game if a parent fails to volunteer.

Winnebago Junior Tackle Football (WJTF) is beginning its 17th season. Teams: 5th Grade (11yrs max) 6th Grade (12yrs max) 7th Grade (13yrs max) 8th Grade (14yrs max) on file for four years.

Mini Cheer will be during Flag Football Season. The objective will be to create a positive experience for youth through cheer leading, which will allow girls in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade to be a part of a team, support a local group, instill spirit within themselves and inspire the football team spectators. Spirit Squad
Cheerleading for Winnebago 4th – 8th graders interested in learning to perform dance & cheer routines to promote spirit and enthusiasm. Practices will begin in June and run through Jr. Tackle Football season. Participants will be in the Winnebago 4th of July parade and perform at home and away on Saturdays at games. Participants will be coached by Maddy Gibbons and Grace Weinrich WHS Dance Team and Cheer Alumni.
Fall Soccer
Fall Soccer is for 4yrs old thru 8th grade (13 yrs old) boys and girls for the Fall 2019-20 grade level. WPD is a member of the Mid Northern Soccer League. Winnebago, Byron, Oregon, or Stillman Valley(Davis Junction) will host 2-3 games each on Saturdays in September and October. Practice days and times determined by coaches. Practices are in the Sports Park. 301 N. Church St., Winnebago Age Divisions: U6 -Born in 2014 or 2015 Must by 4 by July 1. Fee includes a jersey Equipment Needed: shin guards, shorts, black soccer socks, tennis shoes, or completely molded cleats, water bottle, mouthguards (recommended but not required) and a soccer ball

Running Club
Introduce 3-5th grade students to the sport of running, fitness and nutrition. Along with promoting a healthy and positive lifestyle. Participants will meet at the WPD office and receive instructions on the day’s activities. Instructors will be working with the students on nutrition, running, biking, stretching and making exercise fun! Snack will not be provided but participants are welcome to bring a snack. During the 4 weeks we will be making at least 2 Healthy Snacks for participants to enjoy and learn to make at home. Days: Monday and Wednesday; September 9 – October 3 Time: 3:15 – 4:15 p. m. Registration Fee: $40 WPD Resident $50 out of District. Deadline: September 4
Winter Youth Programs Winnebago Indoor Soccer
Games will be played on Sundays. No practices, all games. 8 players per team for Middle School with 6 players on the court. 7 players per High School teams with 5 players on the court. Registration Deadline: November 5 Registration Fee: $45 District Resident; $55 Out of District. Each player will receive a Game Day T-shirt. Game Day: Sunday Game Times: 12 p.m. with games on the hour starting with Middle School teams and followed by High School teams. Location: Winnebago Middle School
Wrestling Camp
Camp participants will spend 4 weeks learning the basics of wrestling. They will be placed into small groups based on age and weight. At the conclusion of the camp, campers will be provided with a variety

Art Sadlter Basketball League -Winnebago Park District participates in the Art Sadlter Basketball League. WPD has a girls team at the 4/5th grade and 6th grade level and a boys team at the 4/5th grade level. Games are played in Rockford and surrounding areas starting Saturday, January 11, 2020. Teams will consist of 8 players min and 12 players max.

Jen has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology Washburn Univ. and has been teaching Group Fitness for over 20 years. She is licensed in Zumba, Zumba Kids, Zumba-Toning, Sentao, Aqua-Zumba and STRONG by Zumba.
Boot Camp
Boot Camp is weight training instruction and safety, technique training as well as cardio equipment workouts. The class offers a unique blend of education and encouragement. Class will allow for participants of all ability levels to make leaps and bounds in strength, energy levels and body composition in only two short hours a week. Class runs 7- 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Fall Session: September 3 – October 24; 8 weeks Fee: $125 WPD Residents: $135 Out of District Winter Session: October 29- December 19; 8 weeks. No Class November 21. Fee: $118 WPD Residents: $128 Out of District (Fee includes $20 School weight-room use fee) Age requirement: Must be 18 years old. This high intensity exercise class will keep you in shape during these long winter months! MUST have 15 people for the class to take place. Boot Camp is held at the WHS Weight Room and Cardio Room. Sessions are led again by Patrick McIntyre, a Winnebago native and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a M.S. in Exercise Physiology. As a competitive triathlete, marathoner and adventure racer, Patrick will be focused on functional strength, endless energy levels and burning fat instead of storing it. He has worked with people of all ability levels to find success.
