Racine County Fair cancellation FAQs Why did the Racine County Fair cancel?
Will there be a carcass show?
The Racine County Fair Board assessed the risk to its exhibitors, their families, volunteers and the general public. The uncertainty for social gathering, social distancing guidelines and requirements that would need to be followed, and the financial implications determined that we are unable to hold the 2020 Racine County Fair.
Will sponsors and vendors receive refunds?
The carcass committee is working on details for having a carcass show. All animals already entered into the carcass competition will be sent to market and graded, however there will be no dinner/gathering at Harry Hansen Meat Service for safety reasons.
Yes. The Racine County Fair Board will refund any Sponsorship money or it will be held for the 2021 Fair. Any vendor payments that have already been submitted will be refunded or will be held for the 2021 fair.
Are you going to have an auction?
Will Open Class participants receive refunds? Yes. The Racine County Fair will refund all Open Class entries by check in the mail.
Will Junior Class entries be refunded if they do not have animals to show? Yes. The Racine County Fair will refund all non- animal entries via a check in the mail.
When is the 2021 Racine County Fair?
Yes. The Racine County Fair Board is finishing its entry system to provide an opportunity for youth to sell their animals. Previous buyers will be notified of the new system. The online Large Animal Auction will start at 6 p.m. Friday, July 31, and end at 10 a.m. Saturday Aug. 1, and the online Fur and Feather Auction will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, and end at noon Sunday, Aug. 2.

What about the non-animal exhibits?
Any exhibitor that was already working on a non-animal project will be able to save it and enter it in 2021. Youth exhibitors that may age out of youth class this year will be able to enter in open class for 2021. Unfortunately the fair is unable to create an opportunity for face to face judging that was safe for both exhibitors and judges.
Are you going to have a Junior Fair?
Yes. The Racine County Fair Board is finalizing the details to hold a Junior fair for all animal projects. Details of this modified fair were to be sent to the exhibitors that have signed up for animal projects. This will not be open to the public.
