Jan. 2 8:13 a.m. – callback for noise complaint on East Rockwell Street. Neighbors snow blowing at 3 a.m. caller has small children. 8:25 a.m. – multiple alarms
on North Washington Street. Someone on sight answered, code she provided was invalid and couldn’t disarm the alarm. Disregard second squad. Officer arrived and learned the cleaner was there when employee arrived. All ok. 9:42 a.m. – officer responded for city light pole that was struck during plow on East Court Street. 11:22 a.m. – officers assisted with a funeral escort on West Walworth Street. 12:54 p.m. – driver lost control and spun into the ditch on North Wisconsin Street. No damage to the vehicle or property. Vehicle pulled out by AM Towing. 5:39 p.m. – officer stopped vehicle for no taillights working on North Wisconsin Street. On contact, driver did not have lights turned all the way over and did not provide proof of insurance. 6:07 p.m. – called to alarm at business on West Deere Road. Officers walked building and all doors secure. 10:40 p.m. – officer assisted deputy with an OWI investigation on East Commerce Court.
11:30 p.m. – one of the dogs doesn’t want to be caught on North Church Street. Owner found the dogs before officers were in area. 11:35 p.m. – fire alarm on West Hidden Trail. Desk associate informed officer that a resident burnt popcorn. Everything ok.
Jan. 3 7:48 a.m. – sold his truck approximately seven months ago on West Walworth Street. Truck currently still has plates on it that belong to the caller. Would like to talk to an officer. New owner is not being cooperative in getting truck registered. 9:19 a.m. – car in the ditch on North Wisconsin Street. Officer responded. Knights Towing was called before officer arrived. Stayed on scene for traffic control. 5:25 p.m. – dispatched to an alarm at a residence on West Westlawn Avenue. Upon arrival all doors were secure and there were no signs of damage. Also did not observe any new footprints in the snow. Called the property owner.
Jan. 4 8:50 a.m. – buildings and grounds crew told about sidewalk that was not shoveled on East Geneva Street. 1:07 p.m. – officer observed driver operating without seatbelt on North Wisconsin Street. Driver was stopped and issued citation. 1:13 p.m. – anonymous caller would like officer to follow up on residence regarding storage of junk in the back of the residence on West Jefferson Street. 3:01 p.m. – officer responded to crash on East Geneva Street. Spoke to both drivers and one driver admitted to striking the other vehicle. 3:02 p.m. – observed push mower on mound of snow by curb on North Washington Street. Tag left stating garbage company will not pick up mower and it will need to be removed. 4:50 p.m. – owner was warned for the sidewalk not getting shoveled on South Wisconsin Street. 5:42 p.m. – subject called regarding suspicious activity on North Wisconsin Street. Caller was following footprints that seemed to go from house to house. Officer followed footprints and it appeared to be from the energy company. Track lead to other gas meters on houses. Officer called WE Energies who confirmed they had someone checking meters in the area. 6:08 p.m. – responded for dog at large on North Church Street. Officer transported dog to PD. 8:27 p.m. – callback re-
