Made contact with DNR advised this is littering or illegal dumping. 11:17 a.m. – a semi struck the pole on East Geneva Street just east of South Lincoln Street with his front rear passenger tires causing it to go flat. No other damage. 4:26 p.m. – dispatched to an alarm on North Church Street. Upon arrival several juveniles were observed exiting a broken window. All were identified and their parents were contacted. 5:41 p.m. – three young children were left in a vehicle on West Market Street. While on the phone with the caller the vehicle left and the officer could not catch up to it. The caller provided a license plate registered to an address outside of the city. A deputy was requested to follow up. Aug. 4 6:51 a.m. – officer stopped vehicle for traveling in construction zone on West Court Street. Showed proof of delivery. 9:44 a.m. – called to residence for an open back door on North Church Street. Made contact with homeowner next door who said he noticed the door open. Cleared the residence and found nothing suspect. Made contact with homeowner to advised of the open door.

10:09 a.m. – Lakeland Nursing Home for an accident on County Trunk NN. Officer learned that a municipal vehicle backing into the loading area didn’t see a legally parking delivery truck. Crash brochures were given to both parties. 8:47 p.m. – officer observed vehicle with front headlight out on East Court Street. Written warning for no proof of insurance and verbal for headlight. Aug. 5 5:03 a.m. – car in lot alarm has been going off since midnight on West Gorman Street. Not active now but lights keep flashing. Officer was able to locate the vehicle. The lights were not going off at the time. The vehicle was locked and did not looked tampered with. Left a voicemail for the owner. 9:27 a.m. – sidewalk spray painted on West Court Street. Attempted follow up with the neighbor. There was no answer at the door. 10:21 a.m. – vehicle backed into trailer in a parking lot on South Lincoln Street. 11:31 a.m. - responded to a opossum that looked sick and had an injured back leg on West Greenfield Street. Upon arrival it had made its way under a shed. Homeowner was going to trap it and call the PD so it could be transported to Fellow Mortals. 11:34 a.m. – male boxer mix

running through neighborhood on North Church Street. Medium size with collar. Checked area for a report of a loose dog. Unable to locate. 12:05 p.m. – wants to know if nuts from walnut tree fall on the neighbor’s driveway and car if she is responsible on North Monica Drive. Officer spoke with caller. 5:37 p.m. – observed residence burning brush and cardboard in a man made fire pit on North Lincoln Street. Explained violation and subject put fire out. 10:09 p.m. – officers called to suspicious vehicle at fairgrounds on East Court Street. Spoke with subjects who stated were playing Pokemon Go. Informed fairgrounds were private property. Aug. 6 6:57 a.m. – officer responded to assist with gas nozzle stuck in vehicle on West Market Street. Was able to get nozzle out by pressing down on the spring. 3:01 p.m. – dispatched to a fire alarm on East Oconnor Drive. While en route was advised it was a false alarm. 3:37 p.m. – observed pieces of plastic scattered in the lane of traffic on North Lincoln Street. Removed the large pieces. 5:53 p.m. – extra patrol for the graduation ceremony on East Geneva Street.

7:53 p.m. – observed vehicle a high rate of speed on East Court Street. Officer stopped vehicle for same ad upon contact, driver stated his license was not valid. Upon running license, driver revoked. Citation completed. Aug. 7 4:20 a.m. – dispatched to a possible blown transformer on Pleasant Street. Checked the area and was unable to locate. Dispatch notified the Electric Department to check the area. 1:28 p.m. – officer prepared and issued owner two weeks to clean up property or citation will be issued on South Wisconsin Street. 2:44 p.m. – officer took report of retail theft of chocolate milk on West Market Street. Citation issued. 6:12 p.m. – officer stopped vehicle where registered owner was listed as suspended on South Broad Street. Driver was cited for operating after revocation and referred for bail jumping. 8:38 p.m. – someone had questions about having a fire in the city on East Court Street. Officer was in area so stopped. They were advised of the ordinance and given information. 11:32 p.m. – loud noise complaint on South Lewis Street. Officer arrived and heard some music and loud talking. Contact made and verbally warned.

Bail jumping • Badon C. Prophet Jr., 21, of Milwaukee; felony bail jumping. Prophet allegedly failed to appear in court as required July 23 on eight counts of armed robbery, burglary and second-degree reckless endangerment. • David M. Ritchay, 33, of Lake Geneva; felony bail jumping. Ritchay failed to appear in court as scheduled Dec. 8 on a charge of identity theft, according to the criminal complaint. • Alec J. Forret, 23, of Whitewater; felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia, all as a repeater. Forret was among people found staying in a tent Aug. 9 at the edge of the woods near the Garden Apartments in Whitewater, according to

the complaint. A bong and marijuana were found in the tent, and additional marijuana and a grinder were found in Forret’s backpack, the complaint states. Forret was under bond conditions on Walworth County charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license. • Nicholas Ryan Ryterski, 33, of Delavan; felony bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were called to a family disturbance July 31 during which Ryterski retrieved a shotgun and put the barrel in his mouth, according to the complaint. Ryterski was found with seven used needles and was under bond conditions on a previous charge of felony bail jumping, according to the complaint. Identity theft • Kimberly J. Mehring, 38, of East Troy; unauthorized use of an entity’s identifying information or documents. Mehring allegedly used the credit card of her former employer, Mehring Transport, to purchase $3,453 worth of items for her personal use from Menard’s, Etsy and Amazon.
