Woman charged with fifth OWI after crash
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 4 for a Walworth woman charged with a fifth drunken driving offense in the Town of Delavan. Lisa M. Braden, 46, was charged Aug. 25 in Walworth County Circuit Court with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, fifth offense. According to the criminal complaint, Braden was apprehended for drunken driving after she was involved in a crash at Highway F south of Bailey Road in the Town of Delavan at about 8:40 p.m. June 18. Braden smelled like alcohol, admitted drinking “a couple beers,” showed signs of impairment on some field sobriety tests and did not attempt others, according to the complaint. Man claims suspects put substance in mouth and rectum An initial appearance was scheduled for Sept. 9 for a Whitewater man found with cocaine after claiming unknown assailants entered his home and put something down his throat and in his rectum. Scot H. Inscore, 32, was charged Aug. 7 in Walworth County Circuit Court with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the criminal complaint, Inscore called police at about 7:05 a.m. May 29 to report that someone entered his residence and put something down his throat in an attempt to poison him. Police responded to Inscore’s home where Inscore met them outside with white, chunky vomit around his
mouth and facial hair, according to the complaint. Police inspected Inscore’s apartment and saw two plates with large amount of white powder, later determined to be 33.8 grams of cocaine, in plain view in the living room, the complaint states. Inscore told police an unidentified group of men broke into his residence and inserted a substance into his throat and rectum, according to the complaint. Inscore also admitted using cocaine, the complaint states.
Elkhorn man found with drugs in Lake Geneva A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 28 for an area man allegedly found with drugs after driving recklessly. Joshua B. Hersrud, 38, of Elkhorn was charged Aug. 19 in Walworth County Cir-
cuit Court with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver psilocin and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, all second and subsequent offense and as a repeater. According to the criminal complaint, Hersrud was stopped for driving recklessly on Highway 50 through downtown Lake Geneva on Aug. 15 at about 2:45 a.m. Hersrud was upset, making unintelligible comments, slurring his speech, avoiding eye contact and making excessive movements, according to the complaint. A deputy smelled marijuana, searched the car and found psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, a scale, sandwich bags, two phones, $516 cash and 1.1 grams of cocaine, according to the complaint.

Wurster held police at bay for about an hour armed with a sword and a machete at his Paddock Drive home in the Town of Sugar Creek on Aug. 10, according to the complaint. Police were called to the home after Wurster was breaking things in the house and yelling profanities at and grabbing his 58-year-old wife by the shoulder and yelling in her face that “she was next,” according to the complaint. Police administered two different types of “less-than-lethal intervention options” before taking Wurster into custody, the complaint states.
