On arrival the fights were done and subjects were being escorted out. While outside the gates subjects started more fights and were cited. 10:49 p.m. – dispatched a 911 misdial on North West Street. Officer spoke with the caller was placing a cover on a smart watch. Everything appeared ok. 11:33 p.m. – officers did building check on East Geneva Street. Door open. Searched interior. July 13 3:52 a.m. – observed two vehicles that were left after the rodeo on East Court Street. Both were empty. Everything appeared ok. 6:42 a.m. – a report of a theft from vehicle on West Westward Drive. 9:38 a.m. – officer spoke with owner who stated vehicle was taken from driveway between night and early this morning on West Estate Court. Subject stated no one has permission to operate or take vehicle. Report completed and vehicle entered into system. 12:24 p.m. – spoke to owner about removing couch that is on the terrace on West Court Street. It needed to be removed. 6:53 p.m. – Mercy Walworth ER called to report a
dog bite on West Evergreen Parkway. Subject is in the ER but will call when home. Was bit while working. Dog bite form was completed. 9:31 p.m. – on going issued with fireworks on Sedgemeadow Street. Officer attempted to find the location but did not hear any fireworks. 11:02 p.m. - officer located a yard waste burn pit with orange coals and some flame on East Geneva Street. It was too large to put out with an extinguisher. FD was called out and used their brush truck to extinguish with water. July 14 8:14 a.m. – officer stopped in and checked on the clerk on East Commerce Court. All good. 9:10 a.m. – stopped vehicle for being on a posted no truck street on North Lincoln Street. Driver was going to Frank’s from I-43 for a delivery. The officer provided correct way to go next time. 9:45 a.m. – officer delivered elderly meal program to apartments on East Court Street. 11:11 a.m. – dispatched to meet with complainant regarding a retail theft incident on video on East Geneva Street. A customer came into the store to pick up a prescription. An employee said she witnessed the female put a Beanie Baby into her purse. Said has been a customer for many years. Provided customer’s identification and wanted cited for retail theft. 11:19 a.m. – assist with funeral escort from St. John’s Lutheran to Hazel Ridge Cemetery on South Broad Street. 12:27 p.m. – responded to a report of a dog stolen from a vehicle on West Hidden Trail. Asked complainant to check residence, which was just down the road. Dog was in apartment. No further ac-

Portillo Amparo, 26, was charged July 22 in Walworth County Circuit Court with second-degree sexual assault and strangulation and suffocation. According to the criminal complaint, the girl reported June 18 that on June 16, Amparo choked her and touched her “privates” at a home on North Street in Whitewater. The girl said Amparo had been drinking all day, according to the complaint. She said Amparo asked her and others to watch a movie in his bedroom, and, during the movie, Amparo pulled her hair because she was looking at her phone instead of watching the movie, according to the complaint. She said Amparo told her, “I want to sleep with you,” and began to choke her, according to the complaint. The girl said she wasn’t able to breathe and thought she was going to die, the complaint states. She said Amparo then

Officer made contact with the homeowner who was aware of the window that was blown out during a recent storm. Has been trying to repair it but hasn’t returned a call. 11:56 a.m. – driver warned for failure to yield to pedestrian on West Walworth Street. 2:21 p.m. – theft of water and damaged the hydrant on East Centralia Street.
