Delavan teen charged with selling cocaine An initial appearance is scheduled for June 12 for a Delavan man charged with selling cocaine in the Town of Geneva. Jaiden L. Purnell, 17, was charged April 8 in Walworth County Circuit Court with manufacturing or delivering cocaine. According to the criminal complaint, Purnell sold .8 grams of cocaine during a controlled buy at a Town of Geneva residence on Nov. 27. Woman charged with stealing from parents An initial appearance is scheduled for June 8 for a Lake Geneva woman charged with stealing from her parents. Heather M. Faust, 43, was charged March 31 in Walworth County Circuit Court with four counts of identity theft for financial gain and theft of movable property valued at $10,000 to $100,000. According to the criminal complaint, Faust is suspected of making more than $15,500

in unauthorized purchases on her parents’ debit card and charging $911 on their Kohl’s card, $6,000 on their Best Buy card and $7,600 on their Discover card. She also is suspected of stealing $1,300 from her dad’s wallet in the Town of Sharon and making unauthorized purchases in her mom’s Walmart card, the complaint states. Man charged with assaulting two girls A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 12 for a Lake Geneva man charged with sexually assaulting two girls he’s related to. Colin F. Hoagland, 30, was charged April 7 in Walworth County Circuit Court with three counts of first-degree child sexual assault; three counts of incest; attempted first-degree child sexual assault; attempted incest; two counts of exposing his genitals; exposing a child to harmful material; causing a child younger than 13 to view or listen to sexual activity; and trafficking a child. If convicted on all counts, he faces up to 413 years in

The girl said Hoagland had shown her videos of people engaged in oral sex, and he took her hand and made her touch his penis, the complaint states. The next morning, the girl was lying next to Hoagland on the bed, Hoagland was watching videos of a boy and girl touching each other in a sexual manner, and Hoagland pulled his pants down and put the girl’s hand on his penis, according to the complaint. The girl described another incident at Hoagland’s Stone Ridge Drive home in Lake Geneva when he pulled his

pants down while looking at naked pictures on his phone, and another incident during which he exposed himself to the girls, according to the complaint. The younger girl described another occasion when Hoagland offered the girls money and candy to do a fashion show naked for him, the complaint states. The girls declined, according to the complaint. On another occasion, Hoagland touched the younger girl’s crotch over her clothes when she was 6 years old, the complaint contends. The 10-year-old girl described the same incidents and said when Hoagland exposed himself she thought it was weird and told him she would not touch it, according to the complaint. Caller notified. 1:50 p.m. – funeral escort enroute to Roselawn on North Wisconsin Street. 2:20 p.m. – officer observed smoke coming from the back of a residence on West Randall Place. Owner was warned. 2:24 p.m. – anonymous caller reports kids playing outside and running back and forth to each others houses on Sunny Hill Drive. Would like an officer to drive through and kindly remind the kids they should be staying home. Officer did not observe any laws or ordinances being violated. 4:23 p.m. – reckless driving/ speeding in parking lot on East Market Street. Caller advised truck speeds and picks up kids. Informed him we would try to make extra patrols. 8:03 p.m.- observed a vehicle had a loud exhaust and did not have any registration on Hilltop Drive. Vehicle stopped and driver advised the plates

She was sentenced to six years probation with nine months in jail with work-release privileges and 120 hours of community service as conditions of probation. She pleaded guilty to manufacturing or delivering amphetamine. Charges of knowingly possessing methamphetamine waste and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to The Cove in Lake Geneva for a fire in Room 314 at about 3:15 a.m. Jan. 9, 2017. In the room, police encountered Patrick McBean, who had burns to his hands and his facial hair appeared to have been burned off, according to the complaint. Smoke inside the room was thick and had a chemical odor that the officer reported burned his lungs and mouth as he breathed, according to the complaint.

A pot with water was boiling on the stove in the room with a box of cough medicine floating in it, and the bathroom had burn marks on the walls and charred debris throughout, including the partially filled tub, according to the complaint. Police believe the fire occurred in the bathroom near the toilet and reported seeing burnt pieces of clothing and blood on the carpet throughout the room, according to the complaint. McBean told police a woman was cooking food in the room, burned it and then left, according to the complaint. At the same time police were responding to the situation at The Cove, emergency services were called to the nearby Mill Creek Motel for a woman there who was badly burned and was taken to Froedtert Hospital, according to the complaint. The burned woman was Kuen, who is believed to have left The Cove and walked toward the Mill Creek Hotel calling for help after conducting a meth cook at The Cove that exploded and burned her.

April 3 2:27 a.m. – officer observed a vehicle in the driveway with its dome lights on at West Randall Place. Officer checked vehicle and found it to be unlocked. Left green tag on vehicle and locked the doors. 11:59 a.m. – whenever they go outside their neighbors dogs bark and are really aggressive on West Page Street. Spoke with neighbor and informed of the issue. Warned him to check on dogs when letting them into the backyard and make sure they aren’t barking aggressively. 1:33 p.m. – caller reports a large amount of smoke on Edgewood Avenue. Officer advised of the burning ordinance. He claims that he looked on the city website and that it had not been changed to reflect these new regulations. 1:58 p.m. – caller reports it appears that someone is burning leaves on South Devendorf Street. Resident was warned also informed about the new leaf-burning ordinance. 2:48 p.m. – observed vehicle fail to stop for stop sign on

April 4 12:18 a.m. – caller states there is a car with driver side door open on North Olsen Street. Officer made contact with vehicle owner he went outside and closed the door. All ok. 7:56 a.m. – officer found an open door on Evergreen Parkway. Cleared the building and called a key holder. 10 a.m. – threw medication out on Grant Street. Officers assisted in retrieving medication. 3:32 p.m. – traffic cones in the traffic lanes on South Lincoln Street. Officer picked up orange barrel placed upright and moved off to the side.

April 5 11:21 a.m. – found an open door on East Oconnor Drive. Door secured and cleared the building. 3:13 p.m. – officer checked building and found door not fully closed tightly on Evergreen Parkway. Checked inside and all appeared to be okay. Tag left on door. 5:12 p.m. – subject turned in a disabled parking permit found on the road on West Walworth Street. Owner contacted will be in to pick up the tag.
