Talent show a success
The Bensenville Park District hosted a district-wide talent show Jan. 18 at the White Pines Golf Club. The community event offered a stage for adults and children to showcase their unique abilities, from singing and dancing to acting, rapping, poetry and even yodeling.

Fenton’s dance team competes at state meet
Fenton High School’s dance team participated in the IHSA competitive dance state meet at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington on Friday, Jan. 31. The Fenton team earned its berth in the state meet with its second-place finish in the 16-team 2A-2 division at an IHSA sectional competition at Maine East High School in Park Ridge on Jan. 25. Fenton team members are pictured during their sectional performance. The top six teams in each division at the sectional qualified for the state meet. Fenton received a second-place score of 88.57 for its sectional performance. Fenton joined 29 other teams in the 2A division at the state meet. The top 12 teams from Friday’s preliminaries in Bloomington advanced to Saturday’s finals. Fenton earned a 15th-place score of 82.5 for its performance in Friday’s preliminaries and did not advance to the finals.
