Addison Museum welcomes special guest on April 12
The Village of Addison invites the community to step back in time at the Addison Historical Museum on Saturday, April 12, from noon-4 p.m. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet H. Sebastian, an experienced public historian, brings the past to life through historical portrayals. He has previously depicted a 19th-century teacher for the Elmhurst History Museum’s Fischer Family/Churchville Schoolhouse program, participated as a historical figure in the annual Cemetery Walk for the
Arlington Heights Historical Museum, and is an active member of the Living Historians Guild reenactor group. This special presentation offers visitors a rare chance to engage with history firsthand and learn more about Addison’s educational past. The museum is located at 135 Army Trail Blvd, Addison. Village of Addison to host Spring Community Recycling Event The Village of Addison has announced its Spring Community Recycling Event, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, from 8 a.m.-noon at the Addison Public Works Department, located at 1491 Jeffrey Drive. It is open exclusively to Addison residents, and proof of residency is required. This annual event provides residents with a convenient and environmentally friendly
way to dispose of various recyclable items. Several collection stations will be available, each accepting specific materials: STATION 1: BLH Computers—Electronics recycling. Accepted items include smoke detectors, answering machines, battery backups, camcorders, cameras, cell phones, computer peripherals, desktop computers,
DVD/CD players, fax machines, ink cartridges, laptops, networking equipment, power tools (including batteries), printers, projectors, radios, receivers, satellite and cable equipment, shredders, speakers, smart phones, surge suppressors, tablets, telephones, toner, VCRs, video game consoles, walkie-talkies, CRT/LCD monitors and televisions (limit of two per vehicle).
