HVAC MAINTENANCE INFO
SEASONAL SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
As we move through the final weeks of summer and look ahead to the cooler days of early fall, we’re taking proactive steps to help ensure every property’s HVAC system is prepared for changing temperatures and continued guest stays. A properly maintained HVAC system plays a critical role in guest comfort and can help prevent unexpected breakdowns during peak occupancy periods. Preventative maintenance is one of the most effective ways to reduce service interruptions, avoid costly repairs, and protect your home’s earning potential.
Do You Currently Have an HVAC Maintenance Contract?
Please let us know if you currently have a biannual HVAC maintenance contract in place by filling out the form below. Having this information on file allows our team to help verify that routine service is being completed and ensures we have the correct contacts available should HVAC-related concerns arise.

SEASONAL FAQS
Q: What maintenance should be prioritized before fall?
A: Late summer is the ideal time to give your property a seasonal checkup and address any wear and tear from a busy summer. Priorities should include HVAC performance, exterior lighting, decks and railings, fireplaces, gutters, and any smaller repairs that may have surfaced during peak-season stays. Taking care of these details now helps prevent unexpected maintenance calls, protects the condition of your home, and ensures everything is ready to welcome guests during the highly anticipated fall season.
Q: Why is preventative maintenance so important during busy months?
A: Peak occupancy means your home is working harder than any other time of year. Addressing small issues before they become emergency repairs helps protect guest satisfaction, reduce unexpected expenses, and preserve the quality of your home for years to come.
Q: Should I be making updates to my cabin during peak season?
A: A: Unless an update is essential, we generally recommend scheduling larger improvement projects during slower seasons. Summer is typically the time to maximize availability and revenue, while planning enhancement projects for the fall or winter allows for minimal disruption to bookings.
Q: What should homeowners expect as summer winds down?
A: As we move toward late summer and early fall, our focus begins shifting to preparing homes for one of the most anticipated seasons in Blue Ridge. We’ll continue monitoring market demand, identifying opportunities for seasonal maintenance, and helping ensure your property is ready for the vibrant fall travel season.
COMMUNICATION UPDATES
We’re continuing to invest in the guest experience by refreshing our guest communication messages across every stage of the booking journey—from reservation confirmations to pre-arrival information and post-stay follow-ups. These updates are designed to provide a more seamless, informative, and welcoming experience while ensuring guests have everything they need for a memorable stay.
Over the next month, we’ll also be updating and refining all of our property listing copy. This refresh will highlight each home’s unique features, amenities, and personality while creating a more polished and consistent brand presence across our booking platforms. Our goal is to help each property stand out, attract the right guests, and better showcase the exceptional vacation experiences our homeowners provide.

AROUND THE COMMUNITY
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Our team has been on the move in the community and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Here are a few places we’ve been showing up over this past few months.
Rooted Magazine Launch Pick Ellijay
We were excited to attend the launch of Rooted, the new quarterly magazine from Pick Ellijay, the tourism division of the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce. This beautiful publication highlights the people, places, and experiences that make our mountain community so special. We’re thrilled to see this new resource helping showcase Ellijay and support local tourism, and we congratulate the Pick Ellijay team on a wonderful launch.
Employee Summer Party
Our team enjoyed a fun-filled Summer Employee Picnic at Horseshoe Bend Park in June, spending the afternoon by the creek playing bingo, kickball, and cornhole. It was a great opportunity to relax, connect, and celebrate another wonderful summer together.
Ribbon Cutting Fannin County Family Connections
We were proud to attend the ribbon cutting for the newest addition to the Fannin County Family Connection Opportunity Center. Supporting organizations that strengthen our community is something we value, and we’re excited to see the positive impact this expansion will have for local families. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this important project to life.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
YOUR WORDS ON YOUR LISTING - OWNER QUOTE SUBMISSION
We're adding owner quotes to property listing pages on our website. A short, personal note from you about your cabin that gives guests a sense of the person behind the property. It's one of the most genuine things we can put in front of someone who's deciding where to book, and we'd love to include yours.
The form takes about two minutes. A few prompts are included to get you started, things like what you love doing when you're in town, or what you want guests to feel when they walk through the door. Once completed we will update your listing as soon as possible.
A quick follow-up from the April issue: SCCR’s keyless entry update is still rolling out in stages across the portfolio. If you visit your property and find that your previous door code is no longer active, your updated default code is the last four digits of the phone number we have on file for your account. If your code is still working as expected, no action is needed.
If you’d prefer a different code, or if you have any questions about where things stand with your specific property, reach out directly to Owner Relations at ownerrelations@ southerncomfortcabinrentals.com.
