This week’s occupancy data shows summer travel demand in the Blue Ridge market remains steady, with overall occupancy pacing closely to last year. Adjusted paid and owner occupancy for June 16–September 13 is currently 23.1%, compared to 23.7% at this time last year.
Near-term demand is especially strong, with the next two weeks averaging 47.5% occupancy and peaking near 69% around June 19–20. This signals a solid influx of visitors heading into late June, creating continued opportunities for local businesses to benefit from increased foot traffic and seasonal spending.
