Jobs Of The Week Service Design Manager - Co opera�ve Working Programme Salary: Circa £45,861 • Dura�on: Funded Post - up un�l 31st March 2019 Hours: 37 hours per week • Base: Stoke on Trent Coopera�ve Working is an ambi�ous programme of collabora�ve public service reform that is designed to deliver a different approach to the people of Stoke-on-Trent. It seeks to put local people at the heart of the design and delivery of services to help them live their lives well. Moreover, by understanding what is delivered and how, there is the opportunity to remove waste, reduce duplica�on and deliver financial savings by providing a more effec�ve and efficient service, based on what people want and need. la Phase 1 largely involved Stoke-on-Trent City Council coordina�ng its internal services, with full support from partners, to adopt new ways of working as part of a wider systemic transforma�on of public service delivery. Phase 2 will build upon the current success and see the development and delivery of a co-designed and co-produced opera�ng model that employs those ways of working in a coordinated and consistent manner. The Coope Coopera�ve Working Strategic Board is seeking a Service Design Manger that will support the ambi�on of the Phase Two programme. It is expected that the Service Design Manager will report to the Co-opera�ve Programme Board, not a single Partner Agency. The role will in outline be to: • Work with the Board and partners to develop services that understand and meet people's need within partner organisa�ons and across the wider system • Facilitate the Partners through the journey of change, working with individual services and the Strategic Board to develop a co-designed and co-produced opera�ng model based on agreed purpose and principles • Create an environment where the Partners learn about each other's areas of exper�se and improve how they work together, for the benefit of the people of Stoke-on-Trent
On a day-to-day basis, the Service Design Manager will work closely with the Strategic Manager - Partnership and Service Transforma�on and the Partnership Change Programme Manager. The person we are seeking must have extensive experience of successfully applying Systems Thinking in a complex and modern Public Services Partnership landscape. You will also need to be adept at partnership working across mul�ple sectors, a confident communicator, problem-solver and change innovator. You should hold a business improvement qualifica�on and have advanced project management qualifica�on or demonstrate equivalent experience. You will be required to use data analysis to quan�fy key deliverables.

Our team of over 150 support staff provide full time care for service users across various locations across the campus. We have a number of job vacancies:Support Workers – Days – up to £8.10 per hour, depending on age and experience You will be involved in supporting service users with activities and personal care needs. You will also assist our service users to be as independent as possible by supporting them in their day-to-day personal lives! Shi Shifts available: We have a number of shift patterns available either working full time (7 shifts a fortnight working 12 hours per shift). Alternatively, we have a number of part time shifts where you either work part of the 12 hour shift or you do less shifts over our 2 week rota period.
Support Workers - Waking nights – up to £8.60 per hour, depending on age and experience As a Night Support Worker you will be required to support the Service Users during the evening with activities, to support them with their personal care and ensuring that their individual needs are met. Shifts available: One full time shift working 7 shifts over a fortnight and one part time working 3 shifts a fortnight, the hours are from 7.15pm-7.15am or 7.30pm-7.30am.
Junior Team Leaders – Days – up to £8.40 per hour, depending on age and experience Similar to our Support Worker role, you will very much be hands on with our Service Users, however you will also administer medication, support staff with their observations and provide cover for the Team Leader. Shifts available: 2 roles available, working ideally full time (7 shifts a fortnight working 12 hours per shift). We would consider part time shifts working less shifts over our 2 week rota period.
Part time Registered Nurse (nights) - £17.23 per hour Our nurses provide a caring, supportive and personalised high standard of nursing to our Service Users in accordance with up-to-date and evidence based professional practice. You will provide leadership with regards to nursing standards and contribute to the management team of the house to improve professional standards and implement best practices throughout. You must be currently registered with the NMC. Shi Shifts available: 3 x 12 hour shifts per fortnight, ideally every Friday night plus Monday or Tuesday night every other week. Extra shifts to cover holiday and any other absences available.
Part-time cook - £8.00 – 8.50 per hour depending on experience Following the opening of our new catering facility, we are looking to expand our catering team and now require an enthusiastic cook to join our organisation at a particularly exciting time. You will ideally be experienced in large scale catering and have a keen interest in cooking a variety of wholesome home cooked meals to produce high quality food from a hub kitchen, as well as help run a busy restaurant. In addition, you will support all health and hygiene requirements and be involved in stock control and menu planning. You will work every Monday and a second shift, usually a Wednesday working 7½ - 8 hours per shift. Times may vary dependent on business needs and you will be required to work additional shifts to cover staff holidays which may include occasional weekends. Some evening work may be required to cover functions.
