ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m 22 years old and in my final year at Arizona State University, where I study
Interior Design through the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and chose to come to ASU not only for its incredible design program but also to follow in my dad’s footsteps as an ASU legacy. It’s been such a meaningful experience to continue that tradition while pursuing something I’ve been passionate about for as long as I can remember.
From a young age, I’ve always had a creative eye and a love for visual storytelling. Whether it was rearranging my room, sketching ideas, or paying close attention to how spaces made people feel, I’ve always been drawn to the world of design. Over the past three years at ASU, that passion has really grown as I’ve learned to combine creativity with function and turn ideas into real, livable spaces.
Being part of the Herberger Institute has pushed me to explore design from many different angles and has given me the chance to collaborate with inspiring peers and mentors. I’ve gained so much hands-on experience and learned skills that I’m excited to carry into my final year and beyond. I truly love what I do and can’t wait to keep growing as a designer and bring thoughtful, beautiful spaces to life.

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE BACHELORS IN INTERIOR DESIGN
I graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 2022, where I had the opportunity to engage in a wellrounded education that challenged me both academically and personally. Throughout my time there, I also played 12 years of competitive soccer, which taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Balancing academics with athletics helped me develop strong time management and leadership skills. I’m proud of my experiences at Lake Oswego and deeply grateful for the support and opportunities I received during my high school years.
I have been attending Arizona State University for the past four years and am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Interior Design program. This program has equipped me with a solid foundation in design principles, creativity, and practical skills that I continue to develop. My experience at ASU has been both challenging and rewarding, and I look forward to building on what I’ve learned as I work toward completing my degree this year. I am excited to apply my education and experiences to a future career in interior design.
DESIGN EXPLORATIONS
As part of my design journey, I’ve had the opportunity to tour inspiring spaces such as DalTile, Meltdown Glass, The Found:Re Phoenix Hotel, and The Atmosphere Showroom. These experiences have given me valuable Insight into the design process, from material selection and craftsmanship to the integration of artistic elements into functional spaces.
By observing the behind the scenes operations and learning from indsutry professionals, I gained a deeper understanding of how design choices--whether through tiles, glass work, or architectural details--can influence the overall aesthetic and user experience. These tours have enriched my perspective, helping me refine my approach to creating thoughtfully designed environments.

PROJECT 1AROUND THE BEND
For our project “Around the Bend,” my two classmates and I designed a hotel based on the vibrant colors and textures of Arizona’s gemstones. Using Revit, We meticulously developed every aspect of the hotel, including a custom color palette and logo to reflect the natural beauty of the region.
We conducted a detailed site analysis and space planning to optimize the layout and flow of the building. Our design features floor plans and reflected ceiling plans for four floors, complimented by a rendered rooftop plan. We also created highquality renderings, furniture plans, elevations, and more to bring our vision to life. The result was a cohesive and dynamic hotel that embodies the essence of Arizona's natural wonders.

PROJECT 2CODES ANALYSIS
For this project, I worked alongside three underclassmen to create a detailed code analysis for their hotel design project, Monaco West. In addition to contributing to the research and organization of the analysis, I took on a mentoring role helping guide my teammates through the process, answering questions, and offering design insight when needed. Together, we reviewed and applied relevant building codes to ensure their hotel design met safety, accessibility, and zoning standards. This experience allowed me to strengthen my leadership skills while also supporting others in their learning and growth as designers.

PROJECT 3HONOR HOUSE
Honor House is a warm and welcoming transitional housing community that i designed alongside two of my classmates, created specifically to support veterans as they move into a new chapter of life. Our goal was to design a space that feels safe, peaceful, and full of opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth.
The community includes a cozy central community center, a calming garden, and two spiritual spaces where residents can find quiet moments or come together. We also added outdoor seating and activity areas to help foster a sense of community and connection to nature. The living spaces are a mix of one- and two-bedroom pods, designed to feel both private and homey.
This project was close to our hearts, and it was so rewarding to imagine a place where thoughtful design could really make a difference. From start to finish, we focused on creating an environment that feels respectful, comforting, and supportive for every person who might call it home.

PROJECT 4CONSTRUCTION DOC.
This project was a collaboration between me and my group for our construction documents class, where we created a full set of drawings based on the design we developed in our studio course that same semester. It was a great opportunity to connect our creative design work with the technical side of interior design.
We put together a full documentation set, including a power plan, finish plan, elevations, schedules, and more. Working on this helped me better understand how design ideas are translated into real, buildable plans. It also gave me valuable experience working as a team to stay organized, communicate clearly, and make sure every detail was thoughtfully considered.

PROJECT 5-RETAIL PROJECT
For this project, I partnered with a fashion student from ASU to design a retail space for her tennis clothing and accessories brand, TS, named after her initials. Each of us in class was assigned the layout of a recently constructed building, and we were tasked with designing a store based on our partner’s vision giving the project a real-world feel.
My client envisioned a store that was chic, elegant, and inspired by an old-fashioned sense of style. She wanted something timeless yet fashionable, a space that would reflect her brand’s personality while offering a welcoming and elevated shopping experience. I worked closely with her to understand her goals and designed a layout and atmosphere that supported both her aesthetic and her products. This project was a great blend of creativity, communication, and thoughtful problem-solving. It taught me how to translate a client’s ideas into a fully realized space while staying true to their brand identity and vision.

CONCEPT BOARDS
In my spare time, I create furniture collages as a creative outlet to explore interior design beyond the classroom. These self-driven projects are where I let my imagination lead experimenting with styles, color stories, textures, and furniture pieces that spark inspiration. Each collage is a visual reflection of ideas I’m curious about, allowing me to play with composition and develop my own design voice. These studies not only fuel my passion for interiors, but they also help me grow as a designer by encouraging intuitive decisionmaking and storytelling through space. It’s in this relaxed, personal setting that I often discover new ideas and strengthen the skills I bring into more structured design work.

PROJECT 7: FUSION ROE COLLECTIVE
For our Art Therapy Renovation Project, I am working as part of a team of four to redesign and adapt an existing building into a space that supports healing, creativity, and emotional wellbeing through art. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where individuals can explore different forms of art therapy in a safe and calming setting.
As a group, we focused on thoughtful spatial planning that balances public and private areas, allowing for activities such as group sessions, individual reflection, and hands-on art-making. The design emphasizes natural light, transparency, and the use of calming materials to support a therapeutic atmosphere. Throughout the project, we have worked collaboratively to develop concepts, select materials, and design spaces that encourage creativity while also making people feel comfortable and supported.
This project has helped me strengthen my skills in teamwork, adaptive reuse, and designing spaces that prioritize emotional and sensory experiences.

PROJECT 8: ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS
In a team of four, we conducted an acoustic analysis of a rendered hotel restaurant space.
Our work included a site analysis, interior photography, detailed floor plans, reflected ceiling plan (RCP), lighting and furniture layouts, and interior elevations. We calculated reverberation times, assessed sound performance, and examined how materials and spatial layout affected acoustics, leading to recommendations for improved design.
The project also explored the relationship between design aesthetics and functional acoustic performance, ensuring the space met both visual and auditory comfort standards. Through this process, we strengthened our skills in technical documentation, spatial analysis, and datadriven design decision-making. This experience reinforced the importance of integrating acoustics early in the design process to create well-balanced hospitality environments.

PROJECT 9: WORKPLACE TYPOLOGIES
For this project, me and my four classmates collaborated to design a set of workplace typologies that support different modes of working. We focused on four key categories: focus, collaboration, social interaction, and rejuvenation. Each of us designed one space within each category, resulting in a total of 16 unique typologies. Although we worked individually on our designs, we coordinated closely to ensure that the overall set felt cohesive in terms of layout, design language, and user experience.
To communicate our ideas clearly, we produced both a floor plan and a reflected ceiling plan (RCP) for each typology. These drawings helped demonstrate how the spaces would function within a larger workplace environment, showing how architectural elements like lighting, circulation, and spatial hierarchy support different types of work. We used Revit to develop our technical drawings and SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualization throughout the design process.

PROJECT 10: WORKPLACE DESIGN
For my Steelcase Workplace Design Project, I individually designed a large office space that focuses on collaboration, flexibility, and employee well-being. The goal was to create a workplace that supports different styles of working while still feeling cohesive and comfortable. I developed a layout that balances open collaborative areas with quieter spaces for focused, individual work, allowing employees to move throughout the office depending on their needs.
Throughout the project, I focused on thoughtful space planning and the use of adaptable furniture systems inspired by Steelcase’s human-centered design approach. I also carefully selected materials and furniture to create a cohesive aesthetic while still prioritizing comfort and functionality. This project helped me strengthen my skills in workplace design, spatial planning, and furniture selection.
