The cable making plant is equipped with modern equipment; from wire drawing and compound manufacture through to the subsequent cable manufacturing processes to achieve the finished product.
Extensive manufacturing capabilities and versatility enable manufacturing of an extensive product range. A range which not only covers cables manufactured to meet British, European and International Standards; but also, through research and development with our customers, Doncaster Cables can manufacture to customer specific specifications.

The mines and smelters where our copper cathodes are produced achieve a lower CO2 footprint than the industry average due to higher efficiency and level of electrification, in combination with fossil-free energy sources.

Our Low-carbon Copper cathodes are produced in the north parts of Scandinavia.

When calculating the CO 2 footprint, Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions have been included. All categories in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol with a relevant impact on the final carbon footprint from cradle-to-Elcowire gate are included.
”HOW DO YOU ENSURE THAT THE NUMBERS ARE CORRECT?”
The footprint has been calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol Product Standard and ISO 14064-3 with support from Sphera. It has also been verified to comply with the GHG Protocol and reviewed according to the principles of ISO 14064-3 by a third party, Intertek.
