Impact Report 2025

The Power of Changemakers

Redefining What's Possible

2025 was a year of acceleration. We expanded our reach, multiplied our impact, and proved that when people unite around a mission, the limits of what’s possible move.

This is changemaking at its purest: Volunteers who show up. NGO partners who deliver. Corporate allies who mobilize. Collaborators who refuse to look away.

Because of them, we doubled our global reach, impacting twice as many families, tripled the surplus food rescued, and crossed a historic milestone: more than 100 million people supported since 2015. One hundred million lives. One hundred million reasons to keep going.

The hunger crisis demands more than good intentions - it demands a movement. That’s why we launched the Impacters Program, turning partner commitment into measurable results. The response has been super positive. Our partners aren’t just joining - they’re leading, innovating, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

And the next generation is raising the bar even higher. At this year’s Stop Hunger Event, young changemakers made it clear: they’re not waiting for permission. They’re driving change now. But change can only happen with your support - Sodexo, Pluxee, our NGO and corporate allies, our volunteers. You are the movement.

As we approach 30 years in 2026, one question guides us: How far can we push this momentum? How many more changemakers can we activate?

The world is within reach. Let's go get it!

Our Key Impact

It’s been another record year in our fight for a hunger-free world - and it’s thanks to you. Your collective effort, generosity, and unstoppable changemaker spirit are not only feeding people; they’re transforming lives.

Volunteer Changemakers

Compassion in action is a powerful force for change. A new generation of young volunteer changemakers from Sodexo and Pluxee is emerging as the new face of Stop Hunger - energized, committed, and ready to drive impact.

Here are our four volunteer awardees from 2025 and some of our strongest volunteer stories - all heroes whose courage and conviction are inspiring others to rise and lead.

2025 Volunteer Awards

Driving impact at scale

Laura joined Stop Hunger’s efforts in Brazil in 2021. Since then, she and her team have supported more than 2.5 million vulnerable people and empowered over 800 women in Paraisópolis - one of São Paulo’s largest and most underserved favelas - through entrepreneurship training. She coordinates emergency food aid, mobilises volunteers and local organisations, and consistently supports urgent community needs.

What drives me every day is knowing that we’re not just fighting hunger. We’re building dignity, opportunity and hope. There’s something magical about seeing people light up when they take part in a social action. In a world where people seek meaning, I believe volunteering gives us exactly that: a way to make a difference, together.

Forging alliances

Tammie has led Stop Hunger Australia for more than a decade, strengthening its national impact by reaching over one million people through food-relief programs supporting local foodbanks, volunteering, and community-driven actions. She further expanded this impact by securing a national partnership with Mars Food & Nutrition, mobilising their employees alongside Sodexo teams to boost volunteer capacity and increase food distribution across the country.

Four years ago, a simple Facebook newsletter sparked a partnership between Mars, Sodexo and Stop Hunger. Today, it helps deliver thousands of meals each year - proof that when we focus on what truly matters and work together, barriers disappear. That’s why I’m proud to be part of Stop Hunger.

Building momentum

Marius joined Pluxee three years ago, and immediately became a Stop Hunger volunteer. His team has already supported over 7,000 vulnerable people in Romania and they continue to go from strength to strength.

Marius is actively building high-impact partnerships with NGOs, including Touched Romania - supporting mothers and survivors of domestic violence - and Magic Camp, which helps families of children undergoing cancer treatment manage the financial and emotional burden of care.

For me, volunteering is one of the most powerful forces we have to unite people – across generations, across sectors and across social boundaries. It brings coworkers together, builds empathy and creates real connections. When people and businesses come together for something bigger than themselves, the impact is exponential. My message is simple: together, we can achieve so much more.

Stop Hunger Volunteer

Amplifying voices

For almost ten years, Michaël has been a dedicated Stop Hunger champion renowned for his ability to bring people together. He is now in charge of the Crédit Agricole Centre-Est team in Lyon, one of Stop Hunger’s private-sector partners, amplifying our impact in the fight against hunger and food insecurity.

During the COVID crisis, Mickaël founded Les Suricates, a solidarity association that collects and redistributes essential items to people in hardship. Today, with Stop Hunger’s support, it has grown from an emergency response into a powerful network mobilising hundreds of volunteers and partner companies to assist those facing the greatest vulnerability.

What drives me is making visible those who are too often forgotten. Through my work at Sodexo, I mobilise others to act. Last year, during Servathon, we collected nearly 200 tons of food with the support of Sodexo clients in Lyon. Every action counts and together, with heart, we can change lives.

Senegal Blueprint for a healthier future

Stop Hunger volunteers, Kandice Kalwoda, Sodexo Growth Academy Manager and Bruno Victor Eugene, Sodexo Chef Trainer, partnered with WFP to pilot a new culinary training program for government officials tasked with training school cooks. This two-week “train the trainer” pilot mission transferred invaluable knowledge and essential skills such as food safety and nutrition to 16 women cooks responsible for preparing WFP school meals within the local community.

Thanks to this collaboration with Stop Hunger, we are now able to deliver safer, more nutritious school meals to children within the WFP school meal operations in Senegal and also empower and provide confidence and professional expertise to women within the school kitchens.

Over 90% of Tanzanians rely on inefficient cookstoves due to a lack of access, harming health and forests. Efficient cookstoves in 50 schools will reduce pollution, improve safety, and support education.

TOUR DE FRANCE

Tackling food waste

For more than 30 years, Sodexo has been the proud official caterer of the Tour de France, one of the world’s greatest cycling events. For three weeks every summer, some of the toughest endurance cyclists embark on a gruelling 3,000km route, ending in Paris for a spectacular finale.

At each step of the way, Sodexo caters for thousands of athletes, spectators, sponsors, organizers and media with the very best in French gastronomic delights. And for the first time in 2025, Stop Hunger, joined forces with Sodexo to make sure no surplus food went to waste.

Stop Hunger volunteers came out in force, following the cyclists through the towns and villages and collecting food to support those in need.

As a longstanding partner, Sodexo has been promoting French gastronomy on the Tour de France for over 30 years. Through this initiative which support food banks and combats waste, Sodexo enables us to further advance the social commitments we pursue within local communities, demonstrating both solidarity and common sense.

NGO Changemakers

Driving Change Where it Matters Most

Stop Hunger partners with more than 400 NGOs across 70 countries, staying close to their realities and their progress. Our support goes far beyond funding: we invest in programs that drive lasting change, we empower and train partners by connecting people and building skills, and we recognise and celebrate their impact to help amplify the progress they achieve every day.

Here are just some of our most impactful stories from 2025 - powerful examples of NGO partners accelerating change on the ground.

Ngarluma-Yindjibarndi Foundation Ltd

Community-powered solutions for lasting access

to fresh food

Roebourne in Australia is home to a new indigenous community-led garden that is strengthening local food security and access to fresh produce.

Through a three-year, $120,000 commitment, Sodexo Australia and Stop Hunger are helping the community establish a sustainable source of fresh fruit and vegetables for Ieramugadu Store Mayathe town’s only supermarket - reducing reliance on long-distance supply chains and improving access to nutritious food.

Stop Hunger's support also enables the garden to operate as a shared learning and wellbeing space: a place where elders guide seasonal planting, young people gain skills, and community members come together for workshops, mentoring, and cultural activities.

By backing a project designed and led by the community, Stop Hunger is helping create long-term, locally driven solutions that improve food access, strengthen resilience, and honour cultural knowledge.

A lack of access to fresh food has been a major barrier for the Roebourne community. And this garden is a living symbol of the community shaping its own future. From traditional knowledge about planting seasons to innovative sustainability practices, this space brings people into dialogue about what a thriving and healthy Roebourne should look like, now and into the future.

The Bread and Butter Thing

Addressing hunger to unlock long-term change in the UK

For more than ten years now, The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT) has focused on making life on a low income in the UK that little bit easier, redistributing fresh, healthy and affordable food to those that need it most.

Stop Hunger’s partnership with TBBT began in 2021 with a six-month pilot to increase uptake of Healthy Start vouchers. Building on that early success, two years later we launched the Empowering Conversations Project delivered in partnership with Proper Job Theatre Company

This program uses theatre to support disadvantaged women so they can build confidence and motivation, develop communication and life skills, and move into volunteering, training, education or work.

Restaurants du Coeur

Creating Pathways to Employment in France

Stop Hunger has partnered with Les Restos du Cœur for two decades. As part of this long-standing partnership, we contribute to Les Tremplins du Cœur, supporting people in the Paris region who face significant barriers to employment.

Through two tailored training pathways co-designed with Sodexo, 22 participants - mainly women and young adults - received personalised coaching, skills development and hands-on experience in catering professions. Many participants progressed into further training or employment, demonstrating the impact of combining professional coaching with real-world immersion. To remove barriers that often prevent vulnerable groups from completing training, Stop Hunger also funded digital equipment, mobility support and childcare, enabling each participant to fully engage in their pathway toward long-term professional integration.

The Empowering Conversations Project shows the power of combining practical food access with tailored support that unlocks confidence and opportunity. With Stop Hunger’s backing, we’re not only tackling hunger today, we’re enabling women to shape a more secure future for themselves, their families and their communities.

These initiatives show how Stop Hunger’s partnership with Les Tremplins du Cœur creates real pathways into employment by combining hands-on experience, practical skills, and personalised support - helping participants build confidence and move toward stable, long-term careers in catering.

Women for Zero Hunger (WFZH)

2025 Winners

Launched in 2022 with Women in Africa Philanthropy, Stop Hunger’s Women for Zero Hunger programme strengthens locally led NGOs who support women’s access to income, resources, and economic opportunities. It was created to address a critical gap: women are central to tackling food insecurity in their communities but often lack the support and investment to scale their impact.

This year, the programme accelerated its reach, with more than 600 NGOs applying, seven shortlisted, and three finalists selected for their bold, scalable approaches.

Congratulations to our winners:

Jessica Renelde Gyebre – AAE

Empowering women and girls to lead local renewable-energy solutions and reduce energy poverty.

Viddah Owino – AFRI CORE

Reshaping local food systems by equipping women with climate-smart agriculture, clean energy, and economic opportunities.

Myriam Chimene Magni – HURAC

Delivering integrated, community-driven responses to crises - from gender-based violence and health to food security and economic empowerment.

These changemakers are now undertaking a six-month acceleration journey with targeted funding, expert mentoring, and capacity-building - partnerships designed to amplify their impact and drive lasting, community-rooted change.

Leadership Lab - Joining forces to strengthen NGO impact

The impact of the Leadership Lab is already visible in the actions participants took immediately after the programme. Leaders reinforced governance structures, expanded their boards, secured new corporate partnerships, and began implementing the strategies explored during the workshops.

As participants shared in their own words, the programme addressed real-world challenges and delivered practical solutions they could apply from

Since the Leadership Lab, we have worked on our governance. We have strengthened our board and have two new members joining who we believe are going to be very valuable.

SOUTH AFRICA

Woman of Age Foundation

Sharon converts her own history of hunger into community strength. Orphaned young, she promised herself that she would see no child around go hungry.

Through her NGO, The Woman of Age Foundation, she trains women and children directly in schools, farms and community spaces - teaching them to grow food sustainably, understand food insecurity, and build long-term solutions. As a food-security ambassador, she empowers children and communities with the knowledge and confidence to shape their own resilience.

I’ve always been passionate about uplifting women and engaging young people early, because they can be part of the solution. Receiving support from Stop Hunger felt like real recognition, like another family helping me, my women, and my girls reach our goals.

USA

FoodFinder

When Jack was a high school student, he tried to volunteer at a food bank but couldn’t find one nearby. That simple, frustrating search became a turning point: if he couldn’t locate help, what about the many Americans who rely on food assistance to get through the day? This realization pushed him, at just 15, to create what would become FoodFinder - the pioneering website and app that now connects people to food banks and meal distribution points across all 50 states. Today, FoodFinder stands as a trusted national resource, making food assistance easier to find and helping individuals and families access support quickly and with dignity.

Stop Hunger has been FoodFinder's number one supporter since 2020, and we would not have been able to serve all of those millions of people without them. Their belief in me and their belief in our mission all across America is something that I’m forever grateful for.

310,260 direct beneficiaries served in 2025

On Remplit Le Frigo

In 2021, as the COVID crisis continued to disrupt daily life in France, Charis and a group of friends watched a news report showing students waiting in long lines for food aid. That moment of stark reality pushed them to launch On Remplit Le Frigo (We Fill the Fridge), a grassroots initiative dedicated to fighting student food insecurity

What began as a response to a pandemicexposed injustice has grown into a powerful volunteer movement. Charis and her friendswho all run the association alongside their full-time jobs - pour their evenings, weekends, and energy into ensuring students have all their basic needs.

Their commitment is driven by conviction, not convenience: they are passionate, persistent, and true examples of everyday changemakers.

12,000

food packages distributed each year to students who would otherwise struggle to eat

Our only goal is to support students who are in precarious situations and our volunteers are truly our greatest strength,” says Charis. “Being able to rely on Stop Hunger’s expertise has been incredibly powerful as we share the same values and we always want to go further. Without donations, none of this would be possible. Thank you!

Corporate Partner Changemakers

Ending hunger means building lasting alliances with people and organisations that share the same convictions.

In 2025, Stop Hunger deepened these alliances by expanding its engagement to Sodexo and Pluxee’s corporate partners through Servathon initiatives and the launch of the Impacters Program The momentum has been remarkable: changemakers are stepping forward, leading projects, mobilising teams, and delivering solutions where they are needed most.

This shared commitment is accelerating our impact.

The Heart of our Impact

Stop Hunger’s global flagship campaign, Servathon, launched in 1996, mobilizes volunteers, NGOs, corporate partners and communities to take concrete, people-powered action against hunger each year from April to July. This edition showcased an even broader spectrum of creativity - from Australia’s wall-sit challenges to Luxembourg’s cookie sales, Colombia’s kitchen renovations and Sweden’s flea markets - all designed to raise funds or collect food for local foodbanks.

Over the past two years, Servathon has grown into a powerful collective effort, bringing together an increasing number of Sodexo and Pluxee corporate partners. This mobilisation is driving meaningful change on the ground, revealing the strength of a united effort against hunger.

80 corporate partners involved

16,500 volunteer hours completed

265,000 meals delivered

4,000 volunteers mobilised $236,000 raised globally

Impacters

Through the Impacters Program and Servathon initiatives, our corporate partners are joining the Stop Hunger movement in force. By engaging their teams and working alongside NGOs and communities, they are contributing directly to our measurable results. The testimonials below show the conviction fueling their engagement.

We’re driven by our purpose of better food today for a better world tomorrow. And a better world tomorrow is somewhere where no one goes hungry. Our activity on its own isn’t enough to stop hunger, but hopefully we can inspire others, and little by little we can make a bigger collective difference.
