As the Fourth of July approaches, I’m reminded once again why the Hamptons hold such a special place in our hearts. The rolling countryside, the sun-drenched beaches, and the long golden-hour evenings always will inspire us. Spend a few days here, slow your pace, put away your phone, and take in the beauty around you, and you’ll quickly understand what makes this place so extraordinary. The Hamptons are truly a treasure.
This summer is especially meaningful for all of us at Social Life as we celebrate our 23rd year in print. Over the past two decades, Social Life has grown into the premier luxury lifestyle publication of the Hamptons. Looking back, I remember the late nights, tight deadlines, and unwavering commitment to creating a magazine that captures both beauty and substance. Every issue has been a labor of passion, and the journey has shaped not only the publication but also my own life in countless ways. I am deeply grateful for the support of our readers, partners, and friends, and I look forward to all that lies ahead.
July also brings some of the season’s most anticipated events, including Polo Hamptons, taking place on Saturday, July 18, and Saturday, July 25, in Bridgehampton. The legendary Christie Brinkley will host our July 18 event, helping usher in what promises to be one of the highlights of the summer social season. Each afternoon features an exciting polo match, exceptional hospitality, and a lively cocktail reception set against the backdrop of a beautiful private estate. I invite you to join us for this unforgettable experience. For details, please visit PoloHamptons.com.
As you celebrate this holiday weekend with family and friends, I hope you take full advantage of everything the Hamptons has to offer, from its natural beauty and coastal charm to the meaningful conversations and lasting connections that make summer here so special. There is no better place to create memories that will stay with you for years to come.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, safe, and unforgettable Fourth of July.
Warm regards, Justin
Mitchell

Dear Readers,
There is a particular quality to the light out here in early July, the way it lingers over the privet and the dune grass long into the evening, as if the season itself is reluctant to let the day go. Then the Fourth arrives, the sparklers come out, the sky over the bay goes electric, and summer is suddenly, gloriously real. It is my favorite weekend of the year on the East End, the moment the whole season seems to exhale and begin.
What I love most about the East End is that it refuses to make you choose. On a single weekend you can move from a champagne preview to a salt marsh at dawn, from the most rarefed rooms in the country to a stretch of beach where the only audience is the tide. This issue is a love letter to that range.
Consider one of my personal favorites: From July 9 to 12, East Hampton Art & Design Days returns, a town-wide celebration of the community’s deep legacy of art, architecture, and design.
This is not a fair you watch from behind a velvet rope. It is a curated run of intimate, mostly private experiences: access to remarkable gardens and artists’ studios, conversations with design luminaries, and a Speaker Series at Guild Hall that this year draws editors and architects of the frst rank. It unfolds alongside the beloved East Hampton Antiques & Design Show at historic Mulford Farm, which benefts the East Hampton Historical Society, so your afternoon of treasure hunting quietly does some good.
And that, really, is the heart of what I want to say in this issue. The East End offers so much, large and small, and some of the most meaningful things you can do here cost nothing but your time. This is the season our eastern box turtles are on the move, crossing busy roads to reach the freshwater ponds, and relentless development means that the journey grows more dangerous every year. The Group for the East End has launched a box turtle conservation project. The data gathered will shape a real plan to preserve land, restore habitat, and advocate for the wildlife tunnels that could keep these turtles off the road for good. You can be part of it without lifting anything heavier than your phone. If you spot a turtle crossing a road on the North Fork—alive, injured, or otherwise—report it to the Group for the East End at thegroup.org, and if the turtle is hurt, call Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons or the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center. I cannot think of a more ftting way to spend an hour on a holiday weekend than helping something small and ancient survive another summer here.
So light the sparklers, fnd your spot for the freworks, raise a glass on the Fourth. Then, sometime before the season slips away, choose one new thing. Wander a fair. Walk a marsh. Lend a hand. The East End has always given generously to those of us lucky enough to call it home. This summer, let’s give a little back.
With love,

Devorah Rose Editor-in-Chief

There are jewelry stores. There are watch stores. And then there are destinations. .

For four decades, Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry has defned a category all its own: part atelier, part collector’s paradise, and part educational experience. It has become an iconic Hamptons destination for discerning clients from around the world.
The story began in 1986, when Glenn Bradford launched his namesake watch collection followed by his frst jewelry collection commissioned by Neiman Marcus. Bold, original, and unmistakably his own, the designs earned early recognition and a loyal following. Other prestigious retailers quickly followed, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Takashimaya, and Harrods, while the collections were featured in the pages of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
When Sharyn Bradford joined the business in 1996, the vision expanded. Together they built Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry into a place where award-winning jewelry, rare collectible timepieces, exceptional gemstones, and fne art co-exist under one roof. Guided by instinct rather than trends, the Bradfords followed their own path, creating original designs, championing craftsmanship, and building a brand known for artistry, authenticity, and meaning.
Over the years, Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry has earned more than 35 industry honors and accolades, including recognition by the World Gold Council as one of the Top 100 Fine American Jewelry Designers and being named by

While Glenn built a reputation as a designer, collector, and ex pert in rare timepieces and gemstones, Sharyn brought a distinctive artistic vision that continues to shape the brand today. Together, they created a world where jewelry, watches, art, and storytelling seamlessly converge.
As the company grew, it expanded beyond the wholesale world into celebrated retail locations of its own, including beloved shops in Port Washington and Roslyn village. While those locations remain an important part of the company’s story, today Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry is exclusively headquartered in Southampton, where its fagship shop has spent the past decade becoming an iconic part of Hamptons culture.
Renowned for their expertise in rare collectible timepieces, the Bradfords have become trusted authorities for collectors around the world. As passionate collectors themselves, they are equally respected as curators, known for uncovering extraordinary watches, exceptional gemstones, and pieces of remarkable provenance.
This year marks a rare milestone: 40 years in business and 10 years in the heart of Southampton village.
On any given day inside the Southampton shop, visitors gather to hear them discuss the history of a rare Rolex, the provenance of a Colombian emerald, or the story behind an old mine cut diamond. Education remains one of the company’s defning characteristics. Clients come for the knowledge, the stories, and the experience.

“We’ve always been collectors at heart,” Glenn says. “I love the history behind a watch, the journey of a gemstone, and the stories that make a piece meaningful. Whether it’s a rare Newman Dial Daytona, a frst edition Nautilus, an old mine cut diamond, or a handmade locket, the best pieces aren’t just beautiful—they become part of a family’s legacy.”
The jewelry itself is food for the soul. Many of the company’s most beloved collections grew from bespoke experiences and deeply personal client stories. Those conversations inspired award-winning collections such as Diamond Dust, Spiritual Charms, Lockets, Cocktail Rings, Word Art, and Destination Collections. Hand-made the way fne jewelry used to be, the pieces are built to last generations and created as modern heirlooms with lasting meaning.
Through it all, one thing has remained constant: Family has always been at the heart of everything they do.“Our children grew up in this business,” Sharyn says. “They spent countless hours in our stores, watched us design jewelry at our kitchen table, and learned frsthand the importance of craftsmanship, relationships, and integrity.”
Today, that experience extends into a second generation. Mentored by Glenn and Sharyn for years, Ethan Bradford has developed a deep command of horology and is widely respected as a watch expert in his own right.
“Growing up around the business, I developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, relationships, and values that have always defned our family,” Ethan says. “It’s an honor to build on what my parents created and carry that legacy forward.”

Every inch of the Southampton shop tells a story. Clients pause outside the front window, captivated by the rarity on display. Inside, they discover museum-worthy watches, exceptional gemstones, heirloom quality jewelry, and Sharyn Bradford’s vibrant, large-scale contemporary paintings.
Designed with the family’s signature blue-and-ivory stripes and custom showcases handcrafted from reclaimed teak and steel, the space feels both luxurious and serene, with a distinctly Zen aesthetic that clients often remark upon.
What began as a design house four decades ago has evolved into one of the Hamptons’ most distinctive luxury destinations.
Today, clients discover Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry through its reputation and through word of mouth, and they travel from across the country and around the world to experience a true family atelier where artistry, expertise, storytelling, and collectibility still matter.
As Glenn and Sharyn celebrate 40 years in business and 10 years in Southampton, they remain grateful to the clients, collectors, and friends who have shared the journey.
After four decades, the mission remains unchanged: to create beautiful things, tell extraordinary stories, and offer treasures meant to be worn, loved, and passed down—pieces that, rarest of all, let you wear your investment.

In a world where luxury is often defned by exclusivity, Alexandra Beth Samit has built her reputation on something even more meaningful: personalization. As the founder of Alexandra Beth Fine Jewelry, Samit has become one of New York’s most trusted private jewelers by creating an experience that is as individual as the clients she serves. Operating from her appointment-only Fifth Avenue showroom, she has transformed the traditional jewelry-buying process into a highly curated journey centered on education, craftsmanship, and lasting relationships.
Today, Alexandra Beth Fine Jewelry specializes in three distinct areas: natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and heirloom revamps. While natural diamonds continue to hold an enduring place in the luxury market, Samit has embraced the

growing demand for lab-grown diamonds, particularly among bridal clients seeking larger stones and greater design fexibility. Rather than viewing the two categories as competitors, she approaches each as a unique option, helping clients select the perfect piece based on their personal goals, style, and values.
“Every client’s story is different,” Samit explains. “The most important part of my role is helping people understand their options so they can make informed decisions with confdence.” That philosophy has become a hallmark of her business and has earned her a loyal following among discerning clients throughout New York and beyond.
Education plays a central role in the Alexandra Beth experience. Through diamond-focused programming and engaging weekly Instagram Live events, Samit has cultivated a community b

of jewelry enthusiasts eager to learn more about both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Her transparent approach helps clients navigate an often complex marketplace while gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistry and value behind each piece.
Another rapidly growing part of the business is heirloom revamps. Clients frequently bring treasured family jewelry, including rings, brooches, diamond strands, and other cherished pieces, to be reimagined into modern designs that honor their history while ftting contemporary lifestyles. By incorporating inherited stones and precious metals into entirely new creations, Samit preserves family legacies while creating jewelry meant to be worn and enjoyed for generations to come.
Samit’s expertise is rooted in years of industry experience. After beginning her career in fashion jewelry and selling

collections through prominent retailers, she further refned her skills through training at the Gemological Institute of America, hands-on work in New York’s Diamond District, and sourcing experience at JCK Las Vegas. Today, her global clientele relies on her guidance for custom engagement rings, wedding bands, milestone gifts, and one-of-a-kind creations.
This summer, Alexandra Beth Fine Jewelry brings its distinctive approach to the Hamptons, offering East End residents and visitors the opportunity to experience luxury jewelry in a more personal and meaningful way. Whether sourcing a remarkable diamond, designing a bespoke piece, or transforming a treasured heirloom, Alexandra Beth Fine Jewelry continues to prove that true luxury is not simply about what you wear, it is about the story behind it.

Rooted in East Coast tradition yet constantly reinvented, the aesthetic balances heritage with a modern sense of ease. Whether on a sailboat, a college quad, or a Hamptons lawn, preppy fashion remains a master class in understated elegance.

This season, gold is proving to be the easiest way to elevate any look. Whether paired with relaxed linen, tailored separates, or eveningwear, the metallic accent creates a sense of effortless glamour. Consider it the fnishing touch that transforms the everyday into something unforgettable.

This summer, luxury isn’t necessarily about where you go. It’s about how you live once you get there and, increasingly, how you re-create that feeling at home.
As homeowners become more intentional about their spaces, a new defnition of luxury is taking shape. It’s less about excess and more about experience. Less about collecting things and more about cultivating a sense of ease, comfort, and restoration that rivals a beautiful hotel stay.
No brand understands that shift quite like Boll & Branch.
Built on a foundation of 100 percent organic cotton, ethical sourcing, and craftsmanship designed to last, the luxury home brand has become synonymous with elevated everyday living. Unlike mass-market bedding brands, every product from Boll & Branch is fully traceable from feld to fnished fabric, a level of transparency that is exceptionally rare today.
That commitment extends throughout the supply chain, with products created in partnership with suppliers who meet rigorous ethical and environmental standards. In a category often dominated by mass production, Boll & Branch has built

a reputation for doing things differently.
At Boll & Branch, luxury is felt, not claimed. It lives in material integrity, thoughtful design, and products that become more beautiful the longer you live with them.
This summer, that philosophy comes to life through the Americana Edit, a curated collection that celebrates timeless American style through true blues, crisp whites, and an effortless sense of ease.
The collection immediately evokes some of summer’s most beloved images: striped umbrellas, salt air, whitewashed interiors, and the enduring appeal of blue-and-white palettes that never go out of style. It feels at once fresh and familiar, equally at home in a Hamptons beach house, a Connecticut retreat, or a Manhattan apartment seeking a touch of coastal fair.
The pieces are clean, confdent, and quietly nostalgic, capturing the essence of the best summers we remember. Every detail is intentionally designed to improve with time. The fabrics soften wash after wash, evolving naturally and becoming more themselves with every season.

If the Americana Edit establishes the mood, Boll & Branch’s Percale bedding may very well become the star of the summer bedroom.
For anyone who sleeps warm or simply loves the unmistakable sensation of slipping into a cool bed at the end of the day, Percale is the ultimate seasonal essential.
Woven from 100 percent organic cotton into a classic percale weave, the sheets are crafted for exceptional airfow and breathability while maintaining a clean, tailored fnish. Cool to the touch and lightly crisp, never stiff or rough, they create the feeling of climbing into a freshly made bed at a luxury resort.
It’s the kind of sleep experience people often travel far and wide in search of, yet Boll & Branch has made it possible to enjoy every single night at home.
The matte fnish delivers an effortlessly polished appearance that holds its shape beautifully throughout the season, while the fabric gradually softens with every wash without sacrifcing its signature breathability. The result is a bedroom that feels elevated and inviting, refned without ever feeling precious.

Perhaps that is why Boll & Branch’s summer campaign, Not All Escapes Require Leaving, feels so timely. It is a reminder that extraordinary rest can happen right at home.
Whether you’re spending the season in Montauk, enjoying weekends on the East End, or returning each evening to an apartment in Manhattan, restoration doesn’t have to require a special destination. It can be a ritual: Light pouring through open windows. A cool sheet against sun-kissed skin. A beautifully made bed waiting at the end of a long day.
The greatest luxury may simply be creating a home you’ll never want to leave.
Boll & Branch is available in stores and at bollandbranch.com, where the full summer collection, including the Americana Edit and Percale bedding, is available now. The brand also offers complimentary home design consultations and installation services at its stores.
Because when the quality of your rest infuences the quality of everything else, home becomes more than a place to live. It becomes the destination itself.

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Chris Coffee, founder of Sage and Madison, the beloved boutique known as the East End’s chicest destination for one-of-a-kind gifts. From coffee to linens to fashion pop-ups, Coffee has his fnger on the pulse of what Hamptonites want (and want to give).
And as the curator of all things chic for Sag Harbor, Coffee has a bustling summer in store, with everything from exclusive fashion activations to managing the boutique’s ever-evolving lineup of coveted brands. We asked Coffee for an inside look into what Sage and Madison has in store for Hamptonites this summer.
What brands are you most looking forward to showcasing at Sage and Madison this year?
It’s hard to pick just one because each brand brings something unique to the experience, but I’m especially excited about welcoming Johanna Ortiz, ALC, Kulson, and The Falls this

summer. What I love about our pop-ups is that they introduce our customers to designers who embody effortless luxury and timeless style, pieces that feel perfectly at home in the Hamptons. Every season, I look for brands that tell a story and offer something distinctive, and this year’s lineup does exactly that.
If you could create your dream Sage and Madison gift basket, what would be inside?
My dream basket would be all about personalization and thoughtful details. I’d start with some of our signature Sage and Madison products, including our coffee, tea, jams, and specialty salts, then add artisan chocolates and beautiful entertaining essentials. I love incorporating custom touches, whether that’s embroidered linens, monogrammed pieces, or even custom-branded macarons. The best gifts feel personal, and those bespoke elements are what transform a beautiful basket into a memorable one.

Are there any trends you’ve seen Hamptonites gravitating toward this season when it comes to gifting?
People are increasingly drawn to gifts that have a story behind them. We’re seeing a lot of interest in unique, globally sourced pieces that evoke travel and discovery, items you can’t fnd everywhere. At the same time, personalization continues to be incredibly important. Customers want gifts that feel thoughtful and tailored to the recipient, whether that’s through customization, embroidery, monograms, or curated selections that refect someone’s personality and interests.
Sag Harbor continues to evolve each summer. How has the community infuenced the growth and direction of Sage and Madison over the years?
The Sag Harbor community has been instrumental in shaping Sage and Madison. As more national and corporate brands have entered the market, we’ve found ourselves embracing local
artisans, makers, and small businesses even more. Our customers value authenticity and connection, and that’s encouraged us to continue championing local talent while creating a space that feels uniquely rooted in the East End. The support from the community has allowed us to evolve while staying true to what made Sage and Madison special from the beginning.
What advice would you give to someone who’s looking to elevate their gifting game?
Think beyond the gift itself and focus on the experience. The most memorable gifts feel personal and intentional. Take the time to consider the recipient’s lifestyle, interests, and passions, then look for pieces that tell a story or create a lasting memory. Adding custom details, whether it’s embroidery, monogramming, or thoughtful presentation, can make even a simple gift feel extraordinary. It’s those personal touches that people remember long after the occasion has passed.
There’s a certain mythology to Montauk: windswept cliffs, silver light bouncing off the Atlantic, and a long history of artists, outsiders, and confdent characters who never needed to announce themselves. It’s this version of Montauk—not the crowded, Instagrammed one—that sits at the heart of Montauk Man, a new fragrance brand launching with four distinct scents and a point of view that feels rebellious in today’s oversaturated market.

Created by founder Andrew Rose, Montauk Man isn’t trying to compete with the polished, mass-produced aesthetic dominating fragrance counters. Instead, it is restrained and deliberate, what Rose describes as a return to old-world discipline. The brand’s four scents—Amber Boom, North Bar, Rough Riders, and Twice Light—are each composed at a notably high 25 percent oil concentration, placing them above the typical eau de parfum threshold and closer to the richness of extrait-level blends.
Rose, 30, traces the origin of the brand to a personal place. Raised between South Florida and the Hamptons, he developed an early connection to Montauk that would later shape his creative vision. “I spent so much time out there—summer camp, learning to golf, even learning how to drive,” he says. “But it wasn’t until 2020, when I was living there full-time, that I saw it in this new form.”
That winter, working alone in a real estate offce, Rose experienced Montauk stripped of its seasonal gloss. “I saw this rawness in the nature and the beauty. That’s really where the idea came from,” he recalls.
Montauk Man, then, is less about replicating a literal seaside scent and more about capturing an emotional landscape. “I didn’t want anything kitschy,” Rose explains. “It’s more this
idealized version of Montauk: how it feels, not how it smells.”
Each fragrance builds that narrative differently. Rough Riders, the brand’s hero scent, draws on both history and imagination, nodding loosely to Teddy Roosevelt and his cavalry regiment. Built around bergamot, pineapple, dark tobacco, cedarwood, and a softened base of vanilla and sandalwood, it’s designed to be the most versatile in the lineup. “You could wear it for lunch, dinner, any season,” Rose says. “It’s perfect for any occasion.”
North Bar, by contrast, is deeper and more nocturnal, a rich oud composition layered with saffron, leather, patchouli, and sandalwood. Inspired by a lesser-known surf spot near the Montauk lighthouse, it refects a more insider perspective. “This is more evening, more elevated,” Rose says. “I imagine someone wearing a tux and spraying this on.”
Amber Boom introduces a gourmand dimension, blending black cherry, bitter almond, amber, vanilla, and tonka bean into something both indulgent and accessible. It’s also the most overtly unisex of the four. “You can almost taste the ingredients,” Rose notes. “It’s sweet, but still grounded.”
Then there’s Twice Light, the most personal and perhaps the most evocative of the collection. A citrus-forward composition with bergamot, neroli, ginger, iris, and orange fower, it’s inspired by the distinctive light that has drawn generations of creatives to Montauk. “There’s this silvery refection off the water,” Rose says. “I haven’t really seen it anywhere else. That’s what brought all those artists out there.”
To ensure authenticity, Rose didn’t just brief his perfumers, he immersed them. Working with world-renowned noses, he brought them directly to Montauk, guiding them through both

its iconic and hidden corners. “We spent days driving around, walking cliffs, going off-road,” he says. “Showing them places most people don’t even know exist.”
That commitment to storytelling extends to the ingredients themselves. Sourced globally—bergamot from Calabria; neroli from Tunisia; vanilla from Madagascar—the compositions are designed to evolve over time. “They’re not fat,” Rose says. “They open, they change, they develop. That’s really important to me.”
While the brand is positioned toward Millennial and Gen Z men, along with women shopping for them or exploring unisex scents, Rose is quick to broaden the defnition. “Montauk Man could be anyone,” he says. “But at the core, it’s someone confdent in a casual way. The kind of guy who wears a white T-shirt to dinner and drives an old vintage Defender. He knows all the cool spots but doesn’t make a fuss about it.”
Launching primarily as a direct-to-consumer brand, Montauk Man will be available online, with select retail placements in the Hamptons and beyond. But even as the business scales, the ethos remains deliberately tight.
In an industry often driven by excess, endless launches, celebrity tie-ins, and feeting trends, Montauk Man’s restraint may be its most compelling feature. Four scents. High concentration. A clear identity.
And, perhaps most importantly, a feeling.
“I always feel happy when I spray fragrance,” Rose says. “That’s the goal. For people to wear this and feel the sameway.”

Entrepreneur, designer, author, and star of Netfix’s My Unorthodox Life , Julia Haart has spent her career solving problems women were told to simply endure. Her latest invention may be her most personal yet: a hybrid bra, shapewear, and ready-to-wear garment that turns tanks, T-shirts, and bodysuits into built-in support systems. No hooks, no straps, no digging, no layers.
Haart has built a life on her refusal to accept convention. At 42, she left the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community she was
raised in, changed her name, and, without formal training, launched herself into an industry that rarely makes room for outsiders.
Within a week, she founded a shoe company. Within nine months, she was at Paris Fashion Week. A few years later, she became creative director of La Perla, then co-owner and CEO of Elite World Group. Her Netfix series made her a global fgure; her memoir, Brazen, turned her personal story of escape into a broader message about freedom, reinvention, and selfdetermination.
Now Haart is focused on a different kind of liberation: freeing women from clothing that hurts. The idea came from a frustration so universal that Haart hardly has to explain it. Most women know the ritual: Come home, unclasp the bra, and fnally exhale. “Bras are torturously uncomfortable,” Haart says. “Even the most comfortable bra is still something that you put on your body with hooks and snaps and is supposed to have a utilitarian function.”
But for Haart, the problem is more than discomfort. It is the choice women are asked to make every morning: beauty or ease, support or freedom. “We can send people to hotels on the moon, we’re talking about populating Mars, but we can’t make comfortable clothes for women. I mean, it’s insane,” she says.
Her solution sounds simple, but the engineering behind it is not. Haart has built the bra into the garment itself. The structure of the shirt supports the bust. The shaping keeps the garment in place. There are no hooks, no backstraps, no digging, and no visible bra lines.
The sizing system is central to the concept. Women can buy the garments not only by dress size, but also by cup size. A customer could choose, for example, a large tank with a DD cup, or an extra-small top with a fuller cup. Haart says traditional apparel sizing assumes that body size and breast
size move together. Her own body taught her otherwise.
“I am a double zero,” she says. “I am a super skinny person, but I’m a double D. I’ve been a double D my whole life.” That mismatch, she says, means clothes made for small bodies often do not ft larger breasts. Body by Julia is meant to rectify this misalignment.
The frst collection includes tanks, T-shirts, bodysuits, and boyfriend tanks. “I want every woman to be able to afford this,” she says, adding that the team reworked the product repeatedly to bring the cost down. “What you would normally spend $150 on, you’re getting for $88. And most importantly, you are not suffering.”
The launch follows years of development, though Haart says the frst real public test came almost by accident. At a recent Entreprenista event in Palm Beach, she planned to bring 30 pieces for about 125 attendees. A warehouse error sent 130 instead. But it was fate. “We sold 117 pieces,” she says. “Almost everyone that bought it came back and bought multiple colors, multiple styles.”
For Haart, the new line is part of a longer pattern. At La Perla, she experimented with corset jackets and developed the “freedom panty,” using stretch silk threads in lace. Before that, with her shoe brand, she created “Cloud 9 technology,” changing heel architecture to better distribute pressure across the foot.
She believes fashion has long been trapped by the idea that women should suffer to look beautiful. Editors have long warned her against using the word “comfort” in a luxury context, she says.

“It’s a dirty word in the fashion world,” they told her. Haart rejects that advice. She sees Body by Julia Haart not as antisexy but as a redefnition: confdence without pain.
Future plans include lace tops, dresses, swimwear, and even bridal gowns with built-in support and shaping. Her ambition is straightforward.
“I’m going to make women’s clothing wearable,” Haart says. “While still being sexy, while still being luxury, while still looking wonderful.”
For a woman whose life has been defned by escape, the mission feels personal. This time, the thing she wants women to escape is not a community or a past, but a daily discomfort so normalized it became invisible.
“There are women walking around today who feel less pain,” she says. “That’s cool.”

In an industry where transformation is both art and science, Stephen T. Greenberg, M.D., F.A.C.S., has built a reputation that feels less clinical and more cultural. His work doesn’t simply alter appearances; it refnes identity, shaping the way his patients move through the world.
His practice has become a destination for those who expect discretion, sophistication, and above all, results that never announce themselves. The signature is subtle: A lifted contour that doesn’t read as “surgical.” A silhouette that feels earned, not engineered. In an era of excess, restraint has become the ultimate luxury, and this has been Dr. Greenberg’s defning trademark for over 30 years.
What distinguishes him is not just technical mastery, though that is a given. It is his ability to see beyond the procedure. Where others may focus on correction, he considers composition: balance, proportion, and the intangible quality of presence. Each consultation unfolds like a collaboration, where vision is combined with his immersive and highly personalized style.
Patients arrive informed, often overwhelmed by options, trends, and the noise of modern aesthetics. Dr. Greenberg’s edge lies in his clarity. He has an instinct for editing, knowing precisely what will elevate a face or form, and equally, what should be left untouched. It’s a discipline that resists the obvious and favors the enduring.
There is also an undeniable fuency in the language of modern beauty. He understands the shift away from dramatic change toward something more believable. The rise of the “undetectable” result is not a trend in his hands; it is a standard. Whether refning the jawline, restoring volume, or recontouring the body, the outcome is designed to integrate seamlessly into a patient’s life, not interrupt it.
From minor tweaks to full rejuvenation packages, Dr. Greenberg goes beyond the cookie-cutter results of the past by focusing on enhancing natural features, restoring youthful contours, and elevating appearance without compromising individuality. Whether surgical or nonsurgical, his tailored plans are designed to deliver sophisticated results customized for each patient.
For those who seek enhancement without compromise, refinement without revelation, Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg offers results that feel like they were always meant to be there.
Dr. Greenberg created the mini, or modifed, facelift to address the signs of aging before they advance. Breast enhancements or reductions are tailored to balance the body and support active lifestyles. Dr. Greenberg’s perfected Rapid Recovery Breast Augmentation has patients back to daily activities the very next day. Using a sophisticated mini-incision technique, patients receive a true 24-hour experience. Other breast and body procedures have proved life-changing by restoring the size and shape of breasts and defning waistlines. Custom injectable plans refresh without downtime, blending aesthetic goals with discreet rejuvenation.

In a feld increasingly shaped by visibility, Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg has navigated the intersection of medicine and media with intention, grounded in expertise yet elevated by his commitment to his vast patient base.
But perhaps his most compelling quality is consistency. In cosmetic plastic surgery, reputation is not built on a single remarkable outcome, but on thousands of them, each one reinforcing the last. It is this continual accumulation of trust that has positioned him not just as an expert practitioner but
also as a bastion of confdence.
For those who seek enhancement and refnement without compromise, Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg offers a unique approach: results that feel like they were always meant to be there.

There is something deeply satisfying about stepping into your backyard and harvesting food that you grew yourself. In 2026, one of the biggest wellness trends isn’t found in a supplement bottle or ftness studio...it’s growing right outside our doors. Hamptons homeowners are transforming their landscapes into productive, beautiful spaces that nourish both people and the planet. This year, gardening trends are moving away from perfectly manicured lawns and toward nature-frst gardens, spaces that prioritize biodiversity, healthy soil, pollinators, and homegrown food.
For 2026, integrating food into every corner of the landscape is key. Rather than separating ornamental gardens from vegetable gardens, homeowners are blending beauty and functionality together.
Think colorful lettuces tucked between fowering plants, fragrant herbs lining walkways, and blueberry bushes serving as natural hedges. Basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, and oregano make stunning landscape plants while also providing fresh ingredients for the kitchen. Strawberries can spill beautifully over raised beds and containers, while dwarf fruit trees can add both elegance and abundance to a garden.
This trend encourages us to use our space more intentionally. Why dedicate an entire yard to plants that simply look beautiful
when many plants can be both beautiful and edible? Growing food at home allows you to control the quality of your produce, avoid unnecessary chemical sprays, and enjoy food harvested at peak freshness. With concerns about glyphosate and other agricultural chemicals, there is something empowering about harvesting clean food from your own backyard.
Gardeners in 2026 are focusing on building healthy soil rather than relying on synthetic fertilizers. One of the easiest ways to do this is through composting. Compost transforms kitchen scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich organic matter that naturally feeds the soil. Fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, eggshells, leaves, and grass clippings can all be returned to the earth instead of ending up in a landfll.
Healthy compost improves soil structure, increases water retention, supports benefcial microorganisms, and helps plants access nutrients more effectively. Think of compost as creating a thriving ecosystem beneath the surface of your garden. Healthy soil produces stronger plants, and stronger plants naturally resist pests and disease.
Another growing trend is paying closer attention to water quality. Many homeowners are investing in fltration systems that not only flter the water they drink, but also the water used throughout their property, including irrigation systems that supply their gardens.
Just as we are becoming more mindful of what we put into our bodies, many gardeners are becoming more conscious of what they put onto their soil and food crops. For more information on fltration systems for both home and garden use, feel free to email me.
One of my favorite gardening trends is the growing realization that home gardens can be grown successfully without pesticides and harsh chemicals. Humans farmed successfully for thousands of years before modern chemical agriculture existed. We can absolutely do it again, especially on a home garden scale.
Nature already provides many solutions. Companion planting is one of the simplest ways to naturally reduce pest pressure.
Basil planted near tomatoes may help discourage aphids, whitefies, and tomato hornworms.
Marigolds are known for helping deter certain pests while attracting benefcial insects.
Nasturtiums act as a natural trap crop by drawing aphids and caterpillars away from vegetables.
Garlic, onions, and chives contain natural compounds that may help discourage unwanted insects while adding beauty and favor to the garden.
Diversity is another key principle. Large monocrops attract pests because insects have an unlimited food source. Diverse gardens create natural balance by attracting benefcial insects such as ladybugs, lacewings, praying mantises, and pollinators that help maintain a healthy ecosystem.
Pollinator gardens continue to gain momentum in 2026. Bees, butterfies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators play an essential role in food production and ecosystem health. By planting lavender, conefower, bee balm, cosmos, sunfowers, and native wildfowers, gardeners can create vibrant habitats that support local wildlife while enhancing the beauty of their properties. A thriving pollinator garden isn’t just good for nature, it’s good for your harvest.
Perhaps the most exciting trend is growing foods rich in antioxidants and benefcial plant compounds that support overall wellness. If you’re planting a garden this year, consider making room for broccoli sprouts, broccoli, kale, arugula, garlic, onions, parsley, cilantro, turmeric, ginger, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, beets, cabbage, and brussels sprouts.
These foods contain nutrients and phytonutrients that researchers continue to study for their role in supporting cellular health and overall wellness. Broccoli sprouts have become especially popular because they contain sulforaphane, while berries provide colorful antioxidants and leafy greens deliver chlorophyll, vitamins, and minerals.
There is something powerful about harvesting ingredients directly from your garden and bringing them straight to the table.
Most exciting of all is the rise of nature-frst landscapes. Instead of striving for perfectly manicured lawns, more homeowners are embracing native plants, fowering meadows, edible gardens, and pollinator habitats.
The result is often more beautiful, more resilient, and signifcantly easier to maintain. Nature-frst gardens create a sense of place and connection that perfectly complements the Hamptons lifestyle.
Another trend for wellness-minded homeowners is keeping a small fock of backyard chickens. If local regulations allow it, a few hens can provide fresh eggs almost every morning while helping fertilize soil naturally and consuming kitchen scraps.
Collecting fresh eggs from your own backyard can be incredibly satisfying. What could be better than walking outside in the morning and gathering breakfast? Fresh herbs, vegetables, berries, and eggs harvested just steps from the kitchen embody the growing movement toward healthier, more connected living.
The message of 2026 gardening is simple: Grow more. Grow more food, more fowers, more pollinator habitat, and more connection to nature. Whether you have acres in the Hamptons or a small backyard garden, every seed planted is an investment in your health, your family, and the future.

Triple board-certifed physician Sue Decotiis, M.D., has spent more than three decades helping patients better understand the signals their bodies are sending them. Through her practice, she has become known for a highly individualized approach that combines hormone testing, metabolic analysis, and body composition data to create personalized plans for each patient. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Dr. Decotiis looks for patterns and underlying causes, believing that the earlier we recognize changes, the more opportunities we have to support long-term health.
What are some of the subtle changes people shouldn’t ignore?
Changes in energy, sleep quality, mental clarity, body composition, lowered libido, afternoon fatigue, and mood. Many people dismiss these shifts as simply getting older, but they can provide important information about what’s happening in the body.
What do people get wrong about aging?
Many people assume that feeling tired, foggy, or unlike themselves is simply part of getting older. While aging is natural, feeling unwell shouldn’t automatically be considered normal. Just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s normal.
Why is data such an important part of your practice?
Data gives us a road map. Treating without data is like getting on a highway without signs. You have no idea where you’re going. Looking at hormones, metabolism, and body composition together allows us to create a truly individualized plan because no two patients are alike.
How has your approach to medicine evolved over the years?
I’ve become much more focused on understanding why something is happening before deciding how to address it. Two people can have very similar symptoms and require entirely different approaches. That’s why personalized medicine is so important.
What is one thing you tell patients over and over again?
Your body is incredibly good at signaling when something is changing. My job is to help patients understand those signals before they become larger concerns.
For Dr. Decotiis, prevention is ultimately about preserving options. The earlier we understand what’s happening, the more opportunities we have to support long-term health, vitality, and quality of life.

Sculptisse Body Contour Cream was developed after Dr. Decotiis observed a recurring concern among patients navigating weight loss, perimenopause, and menopause. While many were improving their health internally, changes in skin frmness and texture often remained.
Rather than treat it as an afterthought, Dr. Decotiis approached it the same way she approaches everything else: through observation, research, and refnement.
At the center of the formula is a proprietary peptide complex designed to signal fbroblasts to stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping support the skin’s structure and resilience. The formula also includes retinol for surface renewal, ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier, a multi-depth hydration system to restore suppleness, and poppy seed extract to support the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid.
For Dr. Decotiis, the cream is a natural extension of her philosophy that meaningful change happens gradually and with intention. The goal isn’t dramatic transformation. It’s helping the outside refect the progress being made within.

For years, bunion surgery was synonymous with large incisions, lengthy recoveries, and weeks spent sidelined from everyday life. Patients often accepted discomfort as part of the process, assuming there was simply no other option.
Dr. Neal Blitz refused to accept that.
Today, the Manhattan- and Beverly Hills-based surgeon, inventor, and Founder and CEO of Voom Medical Devices, Dr. Neal Blitz, is widely known as “The Bunion King,” a title bestowed to him by MDNews magazine for his pioneering contributions to bunion surgery. He is the creator of the Bunionplasty 360 Bunion Repair, the minimally invasive, groundbreaking, and time-tested procedure that has revolutionized bunion correction, transformed the patient experience, and infuenced the future of foot and ankle surgery.

His philosophy is simple: Bunions should not put life on hold.
Rather than relying on traditional methods, Dr. Blitz developed a minimally invasive approach built around tiny incisions, advanced patented technology, and reconstructive and plastic surgery techniques that allow many patients to walk the very same day. Through his signature No Casts No Crutches recovery philosophy, many patients can return to their daily routines sooner and with signifcantly more comfort, even when both feet are corrected during a single surgery. For Dr. Blitz, this was never simply about making surgery less invasive. It was about creating an entirely new patient
experience, from the surgical approach itself to the recovery process that follows.
His work extends far beyond his own operating room. As founder and CEO of Voom Medical Devices, an orthopedic medical device company focused on advancing the future of foot surgery, Dr. Blitz is helping equip surgeons with tools designed to modernize procedures and improve patient outcomes.
In many ways, his career has been built around asking one simple question: Why does it have to be done this way?
That mindset has allowed him to challenge decades of convention and create a new standard for bunion repair. Instead of asking patients to endure prolonged recoveries, Dr. Blitz has built a system designed to help them get back to their lives faster and more comfortably.
That vision has resonated far beyond New York. Today, patients travel from around the country and around the world to visit Dr. Blitz at his Fifth Avenue offce in Manhattan and his Beverly Hills practice. His patients include executives, athletes, entrepreneurs, and active individuals who refuse to accept that foot pain should become a permanent part of aging.
”Bunions should not put life on hold.”
Dr. Neal Blitz
His credentials are equally impressive. Dr. Blitz graduated cum laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, completed his residency training at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, and earned an AO International Fellowship in Dresden, Germany. He is board-certifed by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.

His expertise has also attracted national attention, with appearances and features in The New York Times , The Wall Street Journal , Good Morning America Health , Newsweek , and National Geographic.
For years, foot health occupied the category of “I’ll deal with it later.” Today, patients are becoming far more proactive. They understand that healthy feet are foundational to maintaining an active lifestyle and preserving the freedom to do the things they love.
After all, our feet carry us through nearly every meaningful moment in life. They carry us through long walks in Central Park, pickleball matches, summer weekends in the Hamptons, and countless adventures with family and friends. Yet they are often one of the most neglected parts of our bodies
until something goes wrong.
By transforming bunion surgery, Dr. Blitz is helping people preserve the active lifestyles they cherish by allowing them to move more comfortably, recover more quickly, and get back to doing the things they love.
For someone who has built a career around challenging conventional thinking, that may be his greatest accomplishment: He has transformed bunion surgery from something people feared into something people no longer have to postpone.

This summer, one of the most coveted luxury indulgences isn’t caviar, champagne, or a hard-to-book reservation. It’s the new Connoisseur Grade strawberry from Oishii.
Revered for their extraordinary sweetness, fragrance, and jewellike appearance, Oishii’s premium strawberries have developed a devoted following among award-winning chefs, food enthusiasts, and discerning consumers who appreciate quality and craftsmanship in all its forms.
Now, Oishii is introducing its Connoisseur Grade, the brand’s most exceptional berries, directly to consumers through a curated luxury delivery experience available in select destinations within the New York metropolitan area. Featuring the peak expression of Oishii’s original Omakase Berry, a variety that hails from the foothills of the Japanese Alps, the service allows customers to schedule a delivery directly from the brand’s smart farms to their doorstep, only on Oishii.com.
The Connoisseur Grade represents the top 1 percent of Oishii’s harvest and is released daily in extremely limited quantities. Each berry is left on the vine longer than usual to push it to the furthest edge of favor intensity, naturally. A berry sommelier carefully handselects the largest, sweetest, and most visually pristine berries, and
places them in innovative packaging nestled inside a custom keepsake box. Every order is hand-delivered the same day it’s packaged to preserve the delicate berries’ exceptional favor, aroma, and appearance from their smart farm to your front door. The result feels less like receiving produce and more like opening a luxury gift.
Behind these remarkable berries is a story that is every bit as fascinating as the fruit itself. Founded by Japanese entrepreneur Hiroki Koga, Oishii was born from a simple realization. After moving to the United States, Koga was surprised by how beautiful much of the produce looked, yet how little favor it delivered compared with the meticulously cultivated fruit he grew up enjoying in Japan. Determined to re-create that experience, he set out to build something entirely new.
The company grows its fruit year-round without pesticides while using signifcantly less land and water than conventional farming.
For Koga, however, the mission has never been about technology. It’s about favor. It’s about restoring wonder to something as familiar as a strawberry.
Through its white-glove delivery service, that philosophy now extends beyond the farm, transforming Oishii’s most celebrated berries into one of the summer’s most coveted luxury offerings.

Dr. Lara Devgan is a board-certifed plastic surgeon, entrepreneur, author, and mother of six whose approach to aesthetics has made her one of the most soughtafter voices in the beauty industry. Known for her commitment to natural, refned results, she believes the best cosmetic work enhances a person’s features while preserving their identity. Through her surgical practice, skincare line, and thought leadership, Dr. Devgan has helped shape the modern conversation around beauty, confdence, and aging. We spoke with her about natural beauty, motherhood, confdence, and the misconceptions surrounding cosmetic surgery today.
What have you learned about the difference between beauty and confdence, and are they connected?
Beauty and confdence are connected, but they are not the same thing. Beauty is what the world sees; confdence is what we feel.
The most powerful aesthetic results happen when someone’s appearance better refects how they feel inside. Great aesthetic work does not create confdence. It removes distractions so confdence can come forward.
You often speak about achieving natural results. In an era of flters, Facetune, and AI-generated perfection, what does “natural beauty” mean?
Natural beauty is not the absence of intervention. It is the preservation of identity.
We live in a world of fltered images and artifcial perfection, but real beauty is about vitality, proportion, individuality, and restraint. A natural result means a patient still looks like herself, only fresher and more rested. The highest compliment is not, “Who did your work?” It is, “You look incredible.”
You are a surgeon, entrepreneur, mother of six, and public fgure. Which role has challenged your identity the most?
Motherhood, without question. Surgery demands precision. Entrepreneurship requires resilience. Motherhood requires both, along with humility and surrender. My children have taught me that life’s most meaningful moments cannot be controlled or measured by achievement. Being a mother of six has made me more patient, empathetic, and purposeful in every area of my life.
If you could erase one misconception people have about cosmetic surgery, what would it be?
That plastic surgery has to look obvious. An elegant, anatomically precise approach can make even signifcant procedures appear completely natural. The goal is not to change someone’s identity. It is to restore balance, proportion, and freshness. We are living in an undetectable era. The best aesthetic work is quiet, refned, and deeply individualized.
What do the most beautiful women in the world understand that everyone else gets wrong?
They understand that beauty is not about adding more. It is about knowing what to refne, preserve, and leave alone.
True beauty extends beyond appearance. It is confdence, warmth, intelligence, discipline, and presence. The most compelling women are rarely chasing perfection. They are comfortable in their own skin.
The goal is not to become someone else. It is to become more fully and authentically yourself.

The frst morning in Turks and Caicos, the sea was impossibly still, the sky washed in soft gold, and for a moment the thrum of everyday life seemed to disappear. Standing barefoot beneath swaying palms as the sun rose over Sapodilla Bay, you could feel something shift.
You remember who you are.
Not the version responding to emails, managing calendars, or racing from one obligation to the next. The quieter version. The one that often gets lost beneath the noise.
At our recent Wellness in Paradise retreat, guests gathered for fve days dedicated to restoration, connection, and the simple luxury of being present. We stayed at an incredible private villa on Sapodilla Bay, where each day began with meditation, yoga, and moments of refection guided by spiritual teacher and wellness expert Stephanie Filardi of Bronxville Wellness Sanctuary. Paddleboard yoga lessons, led by Jennifer Hanono, Meadow and Bark’s head of sustainability, challenged us to fnd balance both on the water and within ourselves, while long walks through the crystal-blue Caribbean waters reminded us how healing nature can be.
In a culture that celebrates constant productivity, we rarely give ourselves permission to pause. Yet some of life’s greatest breakthroughs happen when we do.
Throughout the retreat, women shared stories, ideas, and experiences that often stretched far beyond wellness. We explored women’s health and longevity with Ingrid Dodd, founder of Rebranding Menopause. We enjoyed beautifully prepared, nourishing meals by

chef Suzette Lorenzana. Guests were treated to personal editorialstyle photo sessions with Marsin Mogielski and glamour experiences with Kelsi Savoy of Cape Cod’s Beauty Barracuda, capturing not only beautiful images but newfound confdence and joy.
And then there was The Palms Spa.
Having experienced spas throughout the Caribbean, I can honestly say it remains one of the most serene and beautifully executed wellness destinations I have ever visited. Every detail feels intentional. Every treatment invites you to slow down. It is the kind of place that reminds you that restoration is not indulgent— it is essential.
At Meadow and Bark, we often say we create skin care that restores what modern life takes away. But the truth is that healthy, radiant skin is about more than products. It is supported by movement, nourishing food, meaningful connection, quality sleep, stress reduction, and daily protection from the sun.
The glow people notice after a retreat is not simply the result of sunshine or skin care. It is what happens when stress begins to loosen its grip and the body remembers how to restore itself.
Luxury, I’ve come to believe, isn’t about excess.
It’s about feeling fully present.
Because when we give ourselves permission to reset, beautiful things have a way of moving forward.
We look forward to gathering again in Turks and Caicos for Wellness in Paradise, April 24–28, 2027. Now accepting inquiries.

For Dr. Asif Pirani, cosmetic plastic surgery has never been about chasing extremes. It is about helping patients feel more confdent without losing the features that make them recognizable.
An internationally recognized, award-winning plastic surgeon based in Toronto, Dr. Pirani has built his practice around a philosophy that combines technical precision with an artist’s eye. After earning board certifcation from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, he developed a reputation for delivering natural-looking results through an individualized approach focused on safety, balance, and attention to detail. His expertise has also made him a frequent resource
for major media outlets seeking professional insight into cosmetic surgery and aesthetic trends.
Dr. Pirani’s honors include recognition from Post City Magazines’ Top Doctors for Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, the Toronto Star Readers’ Choice Awards across multiple categories, the Top Choice Award for Plastic Surgery Clinic in Toronto, and the Consumer’s Choice Award for Best Cosmetic Surgery in Toronto. But while the accolades are meaningful, he says the heart of the work remains deeply personal.
“What initially drew me to cosmetic plastic surgery was the unique combination of artistry, technical precision, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on a patient’s confdence and quality of life,” Dr. Pirani says.
In a culture increasingly shaped by fltered images, viral beauty trends, and social media comparison, Dr. Pirani believes many patients are not looking to become someone else. “Most patients want to feel more confdent, refreshed, and more like themselves again,” he says. “That may involve restoring changes related to aging, pregnancy, weight fuctuations, or genetics. There’s been a noticeable shift toward refned results over the past decade—patients want improvement without looking ‘overdone.’”
To Dr. Pirani, a natural-looking result is about respecting the patient’s anatomy and creating harmony rather than following trends. “The best cosmetic surgery is often surgery that people notice without immediately identifying why,” he says. “Patients simply look refreshed and healthier.”
For patients considering cosmetic surgery for the frst time, the process can be intimidating. Concerns about safety, recovery, scarring, anesthesia, and realistic outcomes are common. Dr. Pirani says those apprehensions should not be brushed aside. “I believe patients feel most comfortable when they feel heard, informed, and never rushed,” he says. “During consultations, I spend a great deal of time understanding a patient’s goals and explaining what can be achieved and what may not be realistic or appropriate.”
That candor is part of his standard of care. “If I do not believe a procedure is in a patient’s best interest, I will tell them,” he says.
For Dr. Pirani, patient safety is not a marketing phrase. It is the foundation of the entire surgical experience. He emphasizes the importance of accredited surgical facilities, experienced anesthesia providers, proper follow-up care, and evidencebased practices. Just as important, he says, is choosing a surgeon with the right credentials and judgment. “I wish more people understood that cosmetic surgery is still real surgery and should be considered thoughtfully and carefully,” he says.
Social media has made cosmetic surgery more visible and, in some ways, more approachable. Patients can now research procedures, view before-and-after photos, and learn more before ever booking a consultation. But Dr. Pirani cautions that the same platforms can also distort expectations.
“On the positive side, social media has made cosmetic surgery more accessible and transparent,” he says. The challenge, he adds, is that heavily edited or fltered images can promote ideals that do not translate to real life. “It has also accelerated trends that may not always age well,” he says.
That is why individualized planning matters. Rather than replicate someone else’s appearance, Dr. Pirani encourages patients to focus on what is appropriate for their own anatomy, lifestyle, goals, and sustained well-being.

He also reminds patients that surgery is only one part of the equation. Maintaining results requires healthy habits, including stable weight, regular exercise, good nutrition, sun protection, avoiding smoking, stress management, skin care, and appropriate maintenance treatments.
For someone curious but unsure, Dr. Pirani says the best frst step is simple: Have a consultation with a qualifed, board-certifed plastic surgeon. “Patients should never feel pressured into proceeding with surgery,” he says. “Education is empowering, even if someone ultimately decides not to move forward.”
That philosophy may explain why his awards resonate with patients and peers alike. “I am grateful for those acknowledgments,” he says. “But more than anything, I see them as a refection of the trust patients place in our team.”
For Dr. Pirani, cosmetic surgery is about partnership, not perfection, and helping patients make informed choices that feel right for them. “The best outcomes are individualized, balanced, and built around realistic expectations and a strong doctor-patient relationship,” he says.
”The best cosmetic surgery is often surgery that people notice without immediately identifying why.”

Over the years she has been a supermodel, an actress, an entrepreneur, an author, a Broadway performer, an environmental advocate, and a mother. She has graced countless magazine covers and written three New York Times best sellers, and she has built a career that keeps evolving. But when we spoke recently by phone, just days after I had been at her home for her cover shoot, the thread connecting everything was not ambition. It was gratitude.
I started by asking her something I genuinely wanted to know: What gets better with age? Her answer was immediate. “I think that with age you get … freer,” she said. “You do what you wanna do when you wanna do it. I think that there’s a freedom that comes with age that’s quite wonderful. You don’t really care what anybody thinks about your outft anymore.” More than freedom, she says, age brings clarity. “You know what you like. You know what you don’t like. And you don’t feel like you have to put up with the stuff that you don’t like anymore.”
That freedom has not dimmed her enthusiasm. “Of course my life has had a million ups and downs, highs and lows, tragedies and scandals and all of the above,” she said.
“But I think that throughout it all, I’ve always been grateful for wherever I am in the moment. I always say that I’m happiest in the moment.”
That gratitude shapes the advice she would give her younger self. “Just relax and enjoy it,” she said. “Don’t feel the pressure. Don’t feel like there’s a group of judges out there judging your every move, because even if there were, who cares? It’s your life. You’ve got to seize the day. Carpe diem, baby.”
Our conversation turned to love and soulmates, and she confessed, “I’m a believer in soulmates, but I don’t know if they last forever in the way that I thought that they would.” Rather than abandon the idea, she expands it. “I also believe that soulmates can transform and still be soulmates even though it’s not the romantic soulmate anymore.” Coming from her, that is not consolation. It is wisdom.
One of the greatest joys in her life right now is watching her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, come into her own. While we spoke, Sailor was just outside the window, directing a fashion shoot, having already landed multiple covers this season as a model. The pride in Christie’s voice was immediate. “She’s a multitasking, multitalented beauty that can do so many things

simultaneously and just handle it all beautifully. Very capable.” What excites her most is not simply Sailor’s success but watching the world catch up to what Christie has always known. “It’s exciting that the world is starting to discover all her incredible layers as well.”
Like Sailor, that instinct to explore everything is one of Christie’s guiding principles, and when I asked about her own ultimate passion, she laughed. “I also love to be able to dabble in a million different things,” she said. “I’m not sure that any one thing would hold my attention.” Perhaps that is how she has stayed relevant and energized for so long. “I’ve loved modeling for over 50 years now because it’s always different every day,” she said. “A different group of people, a different kind of job.”
When I asked what she hopes people will say about her 50 or even 100 years from now, her answer had nothing to do with her career. “There are a couple of compliments that I really love,” she said. The frst is about her children. “When people meet my kids and they say, ‘You’ve done a great job, Mom. They’re great kids.’ That pleases me to no end.” The second reveals the legacy she actually hopes to leave. “I’ve had women say to me, ‘Since I’ve been following you on Instagram, I’ve seen so much more beauty in the world.’” Those words mean a great deal to her. “For a while when I frst got on Instagram, I was encouraging people to keep their eyes peeled for beautiful things, little things,” she explained. “In seeking beauty like that, it flls you with beauty. It flls you with this kind of joy.” She described followers who now notice sunsets, clouds, fowers, trees, even a weed growing through a crack in
the sidewalk. “They’re making sure that they get outside and just look up at the sky,” she said. “It’s made them more attuned to all the beauty that surrounds us.” It may be the most Christie Brinkley sentiment imaginable. Beauty, in her world, is not about appearances. It is a way of seeing.
Another thing people may not realize about her is how funny she is. Having spent time with her over the years, I have often described her as a ray of sunshine with impeccable comedic timing. Many people associate her with glamour and elegance, but those who know her understand that humor is one of her greatest gifts, and she lights up talking about the moments she has made people laugh. “When people say that I made them laugh, that I get a kick out of,” she said, recalling the audience response during her Broadway run in Chicago and later her turn on Parks and Recreation “It was so wonderful to hear that I gave them a laugh. It just really tickles me.” And then, she said simply, “If I can make people smile, that pleases me. I’m ready for my next job in comedy!”
When I asked what year of her life she would relive exactly as it happened, her answer kept returning to motherhood. “The years that your kids are little,” she said. “You get all the magic that they see in the world. You get to relive all of that. I miss creating the magic for little kids.” And then she said, “That’s why it’s like, ‘Oh, I wish I had grandchildren,’ because I loved creating that magic, those special Christmas Eves where they’re thinking about Santa coming, or Easter egg hunts. All that magic that you can create for a child is just so wonderful.”

By the end of our conversation, one story captured the warmth that has endeared her to generations. I asked when she was last completely starstruck, and she gave me Joni Mitchell, whom she has loved forever. “I have put the needle back on songs and listened to each lyric,” she said. “I’ve worried about her when it sounded like she was going through heartbreak. I felt like I could commiserate with her when I was going through heartbreak.” When they were fnally introduced at a party in Los Angeles, words failed her. “Tears just leaped out of my eyes,” she recalled. “I was so overwhelmed and I just said, ‘I’m so sorry. I just love you so much.’” What undid her further was Joni’s reply. For years, it turned out, the pharmacy near Christie’s parents’ home in Malibu had been greeting Joni as Mrs. Brinkley, mistaking her for Christie’s mother—the two women share the same blonde hair, the same bangs, the same high cheekbones. Even starstruck, even in tears, Christie was already fnding the thread that connected them.
That same practical optimism runs through her fashion collection. “I am done with being uncomfortable in my clothes,” she told me. “I don’t think that we should sacrifce
comfort because personally I have so much more fun when I’m comfortable than when I’m uncomfortable.” She put the philosophy to the test at the amfAR gala in Palm Beach, the glittering beneft for AIDS research she hosted this spring, where for once she traded heels for fats. “I wore fats for a hosting job, which I’ve never done before,” she said, still a little delighted by her own daring. “I felt like I was walking on air. I felt giddy the whole night because there was no pain, no suffering.” That revelation now shapes her designs. “I’m trying to bring an element of comfort into all the clothes so that you can still feel stylish but comfortable.” She favors pieces that last over fast fashion. “I like classics,” she said. “I want the clothes to stay with you and last a long time.”
After all these years, Christie Brinkley remains exactly what so many people hope fame will never erase. She is curious, grateful, emotional, funny, optimistic, and deeply appreciative of the beauty around her. As she told me, happiness is not a destination. It is a practice. “I’ve always been grateful for wherever I am in the moment.” And perhaps that, more than any magazine cover or career milestone, is the real secret to a life well lived.

JEAN SHAFIROFF INTERVIEWS JULIA M c CORMACK, DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT FOR THE SOUTHAMPTON HOSPITAL FOUNDATION AND CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER OF THE STONY BROOK SOUTHAMPTON HOSPITAL
Julia, for readers who may not be familiar with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, could you provide a brief overview?
Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is the sole full-service hospital on Long Island’s South Fork. A fve-star-rated hospital by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and a provisional Level III adult trauma center, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital brings together nearly 250 physicians, dentists, and allied health professionals across more than 50 medical specialties. From routine primary care to highly specialized treatments and lifesaving emergency services, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional health care close to home for the East End community.
Why is it important for people to support Stony Brook Southampton Hospital?
Community support has always been at the heart of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Philanthropy enables us to invest in the expansion of our clinical services, new technologies, and continued expert care for the East End community. That generosity helps ensure that clinically excellent health care will continue to be available close to home for generations to come.
The Southampton Hospital Foundation presents several fundraisers throughout the year. Please tell our readers what events are planned for 2026.
Our summer events are truly some of the most special moments of the Hamptons summer season, bringing the communities together in support of exceptional care close to home.
On Thursday, July 9, we will host the sixth annual East Hampton Emergency Department Luncheon, featuring special guest Brooke Shields—actress, model, author, and entrepreneur—who will speak about her new book, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, and becoming an entrepreneur in her mid-50s.

The 68th annual Summer Party returns on Saturday, August 1. It is a night of celebrating medicine, community, and philanthropy under the tents on Wickapogue Road in Southampton. Chaired by Lynn A. Scotti, it will be an unforgettable evening—beautifully designed, with great energy, music, and a shared sense of purpose.
We’ll close the season with our annual golf outing at Maidstone Club in East Hampton on Thursday, September 17— an exceptional day on one of the most iconic courses on the East End.
How can members of the community get involved and reserve tickets or tables for this season’s fundraising events?
We’re always so grateful for the community’s enthusiasm around these events. Tickets and tables can be reserved by visiting southamptonhospitalfoundation.org or by calling 631.726.8700.
Each event is an opportunity not only to come together socially but to make a meaningful impact on health care here on the East End.

What will this year’s fundraising efforts help support?
Philanthropy plays a critical role in advancing the hospital’s mission. Through the generosity of our community, proceeds from these events help strengthen Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and the Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department—supporting investments in advanced technology, the expansion of key clinical programs, and the continued growth of services to meet the evolving needs of the East End. Our events help us ensure that exceptional care remains accessible—right here, close to home.

Now that the Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department has been open for a year, what impact has it had on the community?
In just the frst year, we’ve cared for more than 10,000 patients—an extraordinary refection of the need for this facility. Most importantly, people are now able to access highquality, lifesaving care much closer to home, which we know can make all the difference in an emergency. It’s meaningful to see this vision realized, not simply as a building but as an essential resource that is improving health outcomes and providing excellent care for our community every day.
What does continued community support mean as you look to the future of health care on the East End?
Community support is truly the foundation of everything we do. Projects like the East Hampton Emergency Department and the Phillips Family Cancer Center are only possible because of the vision and extraordinary generosity of our donors.

Looking ahead, that partnership will be essential as we continue to strengthen our services, invest in innovation, and thoughtfully plan for the future of health care on the East End. This summer, access to specialized care will continue to expand with the opening of a new Stony Brook Medicine cardiology and additional services building in Southampton, further expanding the continuum of care available close to home. Together with all of our community members, we’re building something lasting—ensuring that high-quality care is here for this community for generations to come.
Jean, I want to thank you for your long term involvement with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital as a board member of the Southampton Hospital Foundation, three-time Summer Party head chair, past honoree, donor, and volunteer fundraiser. We are grateful to have you involved as a vice chair of the August 1 Summer Party once again. We thank all of our volunteers and donors, as well as the hospital’s staff,

for helping to make Stony Brook Southampton Hospital the excellent facility that it is today.

One of the Hamptons’ most beloved art traditions, the Clothesline Art Sale, returns to Guild Hall in East Hampton on July 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The collector’s paradise has been running since 1946 and has sold work by artists including Alfonso Ossorio, James Brooks, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, and Elaine and Willem de Kooning. The event provides accessible art to the community, while also supporting the long-standing local artist community. For those looking for a glamorous night out, Guild Hall is throwing its Summer Gala on August 7. The evening invites patrons and artists for an evening of dining and dancing, celebrating the opening of exhibitions “Ross Bleckner: Never the Less” and “Eric Freeman: The Volume of Color.” The event honors Andrea Grover and her 10th anniversary as Guild Hall’s executive director. Proceeds from both events beneft the artists and Guild Hall, ensuring that the Hamptons art scene remains vibrant for years to come. guildhall.org

Remember the name Anna Alimani, because she’s going places. The actress, who just graduated from Columbia Business School, played Lisa Bessette, the sister of JFK Jr.’s wife, Carolyn Bessette, in Love Story. When she went to audition, she had no idea what it was. “They had a code name for the show, but I did learn that it was a Ryan Murphy production.” She landed the role and flmed her part in three grueling 14-hour days from Long Island to the Hudson Valley. “I’d get to bed at 5 a.m. It gave me a newfound respect for show business.” Alimani had no idea the miniseries would be such a hit, spawning JFK Jr. look-alike contests and young women

copying Bessette’s iconic fashion taste. “The reviews are crazy, and the ratings are huge,” she said. She couldn’t keep the three outfts she wore, but she did pocket the nipple covers that were provided to prevent distractions in the cold weather. “I kept mine,” she laughed. “It’s memorabilia.” annaalimani.com
Last year, Mayor Eric Adams helped me celebrate my birthday in Manhattan. I decided to leave politics out of this year’s party, as I didn’t think Mayor Mamdani was going to jump on a private plane with the missus to Miami to help me blow out my candles. That didn’t stop a stellar group from coming, including composer Karen LeFrak, who sits on the board of the New York Philharmonic; philanthropist Kimberly Paige Bluhm, who serves on the board of the Norton Museum; and entrepreneur Steve Simon and his true love, Blaine Trump of God’s Love We Deliver. Also on hand were Peter Thomas Roth and his 103-year-old mother, Carole Roth; Body by Julia designer Julia Haart; author Jean Shafroff; Joseph Hernandez, who’s running for New York state comptroller under the Republican banner; and others too glamorous and private to mention. The party was held on Fisher Island at the oceanfront home of developer Janna Bullock, and my goddaughter Eugenia Bullock’s company, Savoring Spaces, catered the party, which featured sturgeon eggs from Caviar Kaspia and claws from Joe’s Stone Crab, washed down with Dom Ruinart champagne. I blew out candles on a cake from Cipriani and wished, “With Carole Roth as my inspiration, I hope to make it to 107!”

Fancy restaurants are about more than food. “Elevated dining is about intention and orchestration: the seamless integration of food, service, atmosphere, narrative, and exclusivity, coming together to create a cohesive experience that feels purposeful rather than transactional,” said Herb Karlitz, the veteran

event marketer. Karlitz, who produced Harlem EatUp!, hosted a panel at the New York Restaurant Show at the Javits Center with chefs Marcus Samuelsson; Simon Kim; Ayesha Nurdjaja, executive chef at Shuka and Shukette; and Eugene Remm, the restaurateur behind Catch Hospitality Group. karlitz.com

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) has always been a favorite cause for the A-list, with stars including Jennifer Aniston, Sofa Vergara, Luis Fonsi, and Drew Barrymore backing the organization’s mission to treat the toughest childhood cancers and pediatric diseases. The energy headed to Cipriani Wall Street for this year’s 10th annual St. Jude Hope and Heritage Gala, presented by Dr. Ramon Tallaj of SOMOS Community Care and his wife, Ines Hernandez. The night was an important tribute to the hospital’s roots and held a special connection for Dr. Tallaj, who shares the same Lebanese heritage as the organization’s founder, comedian Danny Thomas. somoscommunitycare.org
Singer Chad King just released The Road Ahead, a four-song collection inspired by his battle with multiple sclerosis. King, who created the band A Great Big World with his New York University classmate Ian Axel, told me, “I just want to share more music with people.” He called Axel his “best friend, like a brother.”
Half his earnings from the song “All in Time” will be donated to Nancy Davis’s nonproft Race to Erase MS (erasems.org), which funds top MS research centers. “They’ve been a big champion for me,” said King, who was diagnosed with MS in 2007, and now uses a cane. “I sometimes think of my life in two chapters, before my MS symptoms began affecting how I move through the world, and after. This EP was written in the ‘after’ chapter,” King said. @itsmechadking

On April 24, sailors and nautical enthusiasts alike descended upon the Down Town Association for the 26th year of the black-tie affair that celebrates the start of the new sailing season. The event proceeds support the New York Harbor Sailing Foundation in providing programming and sailing opportunities throughout the year. This multistory soiree yet again brought a crowd that spanned from young to golden age, with sponsors including the likes of Vera Wang, Ferrari Trento, and The Botanist, to name just a few. A special shout-out to our late dear friend John Stone, an avid sailor and supporter of the Sailor’s Ball himself. His presence was very much missed this year. Fair winds and following seas to our captain.
The Crane Club was flled to the max with partygoers looking for a beautiful fun crowd, all in support of cancer research and assistance. Founded by the talented Denise Rich after her daughter Gabrielle passed from leukemia, the Gabrielle’s Angels Foundation has become a beacon of hope in the quest to fnd a cure for all blood cancers. Attendees included Joe and Melissa Gorga from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bianca Peters of Fox 5 News, and of course Denise Rich herself. The evening combined philanthropy and glamour, reminding guests that meaningful progress in cancer research is made possible through the generosity and commitment of supporters who continue to champion the foundation’s mission.

A fashionable fock of young Apollo Circle members gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the evening of April 23. The exclusive after-hours event featured a private viewing of the galleries, music, dancing, and, of course, classic Met rooftop views. Designed for the museum’s next generation of patrons, the annual Young Members Party brought together art enthusiasts, collectors, philanthropists, and emerging cultural leaders for a night that blended socializing with access to one of the world’s most celebrated museums. Apollo Circle, The Met’s membership group for young supporters, is known for connecting members with curators, special exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes experiences throughout the year.

What some call “the Davos of Los Angeles” did not disappoint. Speakers and attendees included Shaquille O’Neal, Tom Brady, Serena Williams, Rahm Emanuel, Tim Scott, Ken Griffn of Citadel, Larry Fink of BlackRock, Ted Cruz, Jill Biden, Marla Maples, Jensen Huang, Wyclef Jean, and the list goes on. The conference took over both the Hilton and WaldorfAstoria in Beverly Hills from May 3 to May 6. Social gatherings were almost entirely invite-only at nearby off-site locations, keeping well-known venues across Beverly Hills flled with the buzz of Milken attendees. It’s a not-to-miss event for those looking to network in the arenas of fnance, health care, and public policy.

R. Couri Hay is Social Life’s travel editor and society columnist. He began his career at Andy Warhol’s Interview, and he has written for Town & Country and People. Hay also appears on CNN, PBS, Fox, and VH1 commenting on Hollywood. He lives in New York City and Southampton and is the CEO of his own PR frm. and Venice becomes a city temporarily recalibrated toward nuance. A ftting counterpoint, the Venetian Heritage Gala Weekend celebrates not only what Venice produces but what it preserves.

Venice knows how to choose its moments. Late spring is one of them, when softened light settles across the lagoon, the city exhales winter, and palazzi seem to reawaken to their own refections. Every two years, this renewal coincides with the opening of the Venice Art Biennale, an event that brings together global curators, artists, collectors, and cultural travelers. And threaded through those charged days is another gathering: the Venetian Heritage Biennale Gala Weekend, where art, philanthropy, and the rituals of Venetian society intersect. This past May, the convergence unfolded again as the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia opened under the title, “In Minor Keys.” Conceived to inspire thoughtfulness rather than dazzle with spectacle, the Biennale exhibition sets the tone
This year, the Gala Weekend comprised a delightful program of art and cultural events, the high point being the glamorous gala, Casino Royale Ball 1930. The Jazz Age era was when the Lido in Venice was at the height of its popularity with the chic international jet set.
The Gala Weekend’s VIP agenda, which took place during the Biennale private preview days, began with a private tour of the brilliant Jenny Saville Exhibition at Ca’ Pesaro, Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna. Hosted by Larry Gagosian, this marks the British artist’s frst major exhibition in Venice. It places her monumental canvases in a dialogue with the city’s great masters of the past, creating an encounter between contemporary painting and Venice’s artistic heritage. capesaro.visitmuve.it
Venetian Heritage and Dorotheum, Europe’s largest auction house, founded in 1707 in Vienna by Emperor Joseph I, hosted a truly spectacular breakfast in the cloister of San Francesco della Vigna. This magnifcent private locale was opened especially for the Gala attendees thanks to the Marzotto family, owners of Santa Margherita wines. dorotheum.com
The San Francesco della Vigna complex, founded in 1253 and entrusted to the Friars Minor, includes the church, designed by Jacopo Sansovino, with a facade later conceived by Andrea Palladio,

the convent, a historic library, and three cloisters, one of which preserves the oldest urban vineyard in Venice. Since 2019, the vineyard has been the focus of a restoration and enhancement project promoted by Santa Margherita wines, which has reintroduced historic grape varieties once widely cultivated in the Veneto region during the time of the Serenissima.
Gagosian also hosted us for a VIP tour of Ghanaian artist Amoako Boafo’s exhibition at Palazzo Grimani museum. The exhibition continues the museum’s commitment to contemporary art that engages with the history of this site and Renaissance Venice. Boafo’s work, with its powerful exploration of identity and style, provides a fresh, contemporary interpretation of the city’s grand artistic tradition, especially that of portraiture. museogrimani.cultura.gov.it
Thursday’s dinner celebrating the opening of Michelin-starred restaurant Oro at Hotel Cipriani was hosted by the delightfully eccentric and eternally charming Peter Marino, the New York–based art collector, curator, and über-architect. Jackets and ties were required, and the four-course meal of totally original dishes by renowned master chef Massimo Bottura was divine. Standout attendees included the glamorous actress and author Cornelia Guest; Hilary and Wilbur Ross, the former secretary of commerce; Isabelle Marino; Eugenia Bullock; and an array of beautiful young Italian princesses.

Friday brought a private visit to the San Giobbe altarpiece at the Gallerie dell’Accademia, which serves as a temporary restoration lab for this masterpiece by Giovanni Bellini. Our up-close viewing was made possible due to the generosity of a design-world power couple: Roger Thomas, a Venetian Heritage Foundation board member, and his husband, Arthur Libera. gallerieaccademia.it
Art and fashion go hand in hand, and Louis Vuitton hosted a cocktail reception at its Venice Espace celebrating the opening of the exhibition by Chinese artist Lu Yang. This exhibit is part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s “hors-les-murs” (“beyond the walls”) program, an initiative to showcase artworks from its permanent collection at its Espaces around the world. The aim is to make art accessible to a broader global audience.
Bulgari and Venetian Heritage held a celebratory preview of an exhibition featuring Lara Favaretto and Monia Ben Hamouda. Curated by Fondazione Bulgari, the exhibit was in the magnifcent Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, designed by Jacopo Sansovino in 1537. The black-tie dinner took place in the library’s extraordinary Salone, whose decoration was created by some of the most important Venetian artists of the 16th century. bibliotecanazionalemarciana.cultura.gov.it

We were invited to visit the Fortuny + Chahan Biennale 2026 installation around new collections of furniture, art, and Fortuny fabrics, followed by a poolside lunch set within the gorgeous surroundings of the Fortuny gardens.
Fortuny + Chahan is a special collaboration that introduces design and art to the Venetian community by transforming the former house of Countess Elsie Lee Gozzi, adjacent to the iconic Fortuny factory, into an enchanting gallery that blends contemporary artwork and upholstered furniture within the historical setting.
The weekend culminated on Saturday evening with the Casino Royale Ball 1930 at the historic Palazzo del Casinò on the Lido di Venezia. Following three previous successful balls, Venetian Heritage and Dior again collaborated on the fourth edition of the Biennale Ball and beneft dinner, this year evoking 1930s glamour at the Lido site, which hosted the very frst edition of the Venice Film Festival. visitlido.it
The dress code was “white or black tie, golden age glamour,” and the setting could not have been more perfect! Long out of operation, the Palazzo del Casinò remains a rare and atmospheric setting, distinguished by its preserved period décor, from gilded mosaics to magnifcent Murano chandeliers. It was a rare treat to see this intact historic venue reanimated.

Of course, this very posh weekend of being wined and dined was for a good cause. Proceeds from the 2026 Biennale Gala Weekend support the ongoing restoration and renovation of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro, the magnifcent late Gothic palazzo known worldwide as the Golden House, with its iconic facade and remarkable collections, under the stewardship of the Italian Ministry of Culture. The 2026 Venetian Heritage Biennale Gala Weekend hosted approximately 450 guests and raised $2 million. Among the attendees were Prince Amyn Muhammad Aga Khan, Diane von Furstenberg, Sir Anish Kapoor, Stephen and Christine Schwarzman, Valentina Marini Clarelli Nasi, Maria Manetti Shrem, Peter Brant Jr., Anna Castellini Baldissera, Prince Pierre d’Arenberg, and his daughter, the enchanting poet Princess Dorothée “Dodo” Anastasja D’Arenberg. cadoro.org
The Venetian Heritage Foundation is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of the art and architecture of Venice and promoting Venice’s artistic heritage. Founded in 1999, the organization operates through two affliated entities: Fondazione Venetian Heritage Onlus in Venice and Venetian Heritage Inc. in New York. Its mission centers on safeguarding the city’s fragile and internationally signifcant cultural legacy through restoration projects, exhibitions, publications, and educational initiatives.
Following catastrophic foods in 1966, global awareness grew regarding the urgent need to protect Venice’s monuments, artworks,
Marco Valmarana, SGP

and historic fabrics. The foundation was established to mobilize international resources, particularly private funding, to assist public institutions and local authorities in conservation efforts.
At the core of Venetian Heritage’s activity is the funding and management of restoration on a wide range of artistic and architectural projects. Its initiatives have encompassed sculptures, paintings, stone facades, altars, mosaics, and historic interiors in both renowned monuments and more modest religious or civic sites.
The foundation’s projects have included restorations at landmarks such as the Palazzo Ducale, the Church of the Jesuits in Venice, and the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro. The foundation has also supported the preservation of major works by Venetian Renaissance and Baroque artists, including sculptures by Antonio Rizzo and paintings by Paolo Veronese, as well as architectural elements exposed to centuries of environmental damage.
Venetian Heritage’s conservation activity is not limited to Venice proper. The organization has fnanced and coordinated projects in historic territories of the Venetian Republic such as cathedral complexes and monuments in Dalmatia, refecting its broader geographical and historical scope.
In addition to restoration, Venetian Heritage focuses on advancing knowledge and appreciation of Venetian culture. This includes organizing and underwriting exhibitions, producing scholarly

publications, and supporting academic research. It has organized major exhibitions in Venice and abroad, often showcasing restored works and placing them within their historical and artistic context.
The foundation’s educational initiatives have funded fellowships and scholarships for students and young professionals in felds related to art history, conservation, and music, refecting its commitment to cultivating future expertise in cultural heritage preservation. venetianheritage.org
Venetian Heritage collaborates closely with Italian cultural institutions, including the Ministry of Culture, museums, and ecclesiastical authorities. It is also part of the executive committee of the International Private Committees for the Safeguarding of Venice, a consortium of organizations dedicated to preserving the city’s heritage through coordinated private initiatives.
Fundraising plays an essential role in sustaining the foundation’s activities. Venetian Heritage organizes high-profle cultural events, like the Gala Weekend, in Venice and internationally, often in connection with major art events. These initiatives are designed to link philanthropy, contemporary culture, and heritage conservation.
As Venice faces mounting environmental pressures, mass tourism, and the challenges of maintaining aging historic infrastructure, Venetian Heritage’s work has never been more relevant.

It continues to advocate for a comprehensive approach to conservation that combines technical restoration with public awareness and cultural education. The foundation positions art and architecture not as static relics, but as living carriers of historical memory that must remain accessible and understood by a global audience.
Through its international structure and long-term collaborations, the Venetian Heritage Foundation is now a signifcant private actor in the ongoing effort to preserve Venice’s cultural identity while sharing it with the world.
One brand new must-see in Venice is the Fondazione Dries Van Noten, which opened just in time for the Biennale. The legendary Belgian fashion designer, who retired from his eponymous label in 2024, surprised the world by establishing a foundation for which he purchased the historic 15th century Palazzo Pisani Moretta on Venice’s Grand Canal.
Van Noten and his partner, Patrick Vangheluwe, had not intended to set up in an ornate Venice venue, but fell in love with the fabulous 43,000-square-foot place at frst sight. Featuring 24-candle chandeliers, inlaid marble foors, and dramatic ceiling frescoes by Guarana and Tiepolo, the palazzo was famed for hosting an annual masquerade ball during Carnival and featured in flms like Casino Royale and The Tourist

It was formerly the seat of the noble Pisani family, whose descendants vowed to sell the building only to a buyer who would preserve the heritage property and not turn it into a hotel.
The foundation’s frst exhibition, “The Only True Protest Is Beauty,” spans 20 rooms over three foors, featuring objects that display the value of craft across artistic disciplines, including fashion, jewelry, art, design, photography, glass, and ceramics. Van Noten believes in craftsmanship as a vital language of cultural identity. fondazionedriesvannoten.org
I stayed at the Baglioni Hotel Luna, which is perfectly situated for taking in all the Biennale offerings throughout the city. Venice’s oldest hotel, dating back to 1118, and one of its most atmospheric, this legendary property sits just steps from Piazza San Marco, tucked discreetly between St. Mark’s Square and the lagoon, offering guests a rare chance to stay smack in the middle of Venetian history.
Arriving at Baglioni Hotel Luna feels like stepping into another era. You can glide up to the hotel’s private water dock by water taxi or gondola, a rarity among hotels so close to San Marco. Once inside, the bustle of Venice melts away amid velvet carpets, Murano glass chandeliers, gilded mirrors, and a hushed, museum-like calm that feels worlds apart from the crowds outside. venice.baglionihotels.com

It is not hyperbole to say that its unbeatable location sets Baglioni Hotel Luna apart. The hotel is just a minute’s walk from Piazza San Marco, and major landmarks such as the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs, and the vaporetto stops are all within easy reach on foot or water, making it an ideal base in the city.
The central position is also perfect for early morning or late evening exploration of St. Mark’s Square, a magical experience when the day-trippers have gone, and Venice briefy belongs to itself again. Even with the hotel’s central location, the atmosphere inside is surprisingly tranquil, a testament to the building’s thick walls and thoughtful restoration.
The building’s story is extraordinary: Originally an osteria for crusading Knights Templar, and later a Renaissance inn known as the Locanda della Luna, it has welcomed senators, aristocrats, and notable travelers for centuries before becoming part of the Baglioni luxury hotel group in the late 20th century.
Baglioni Hotel Luna offers a special mix of historic character and modern comfort. The rooms and suites are decorated in classic Venetian style, featuring antique furnishings, rich fabrics, Murano chandeliers, and marble bathrooms while still providing contem-

porary conveniences like Wi-Fi, climate control, and modern entertainment.
Many rooms have views of inner courtyards or atmospheric Venetian streets, and some open onto views of the San Marco Basin, the Venetian Lagoon, and San Giorgio Maggiore. The prestigious suites feature private terraces with sweeping panoramic views, perfect for watching sunrise over the lagoon or the glow of evening lights across the water. Lucky me, I had a room with a terrace and a view!
Breakfast at Baglioni Hotel Luna is a highlight. Held in the Marco Polo Ballroom, an 18th century salon adorned with frescoes attributed to pupils of Tiepolo and illuminated by crystal chandeliers, the setting alone feels like a private invitation into Venice’s artistic past.
For lunch or dinner, the hotel’s culinary centerpiece is Santo Mare, specializing in local, freshly-caught seafood in a fshmonger-inspired setting. Each dish is crafted to showcase the true favors of the Italian coast, and paired with a perfectly curated wine list. Try the Sicilian shrimp carpaccio, lobster linguine, or red tuna tartare.
The Baglioni’s Canova Bar provides more relaxed options for aperitivi, cocktails, or a quiet espresso overlooking a canal.

To be born and raised in South Caicos is a rare privilege. Life here is shaped by the ocean, where salt-kissed breezes drift across turquoise waters and endless skies stretch beyond imagination. Light moves across the landscape with extraordinary brilliance, illuminating both the island’s natural beauty and its people and shaping a sense of place that feels both timeless and deeply grounded.
Known as “Big South,” South Caicos remains one of the Caribbean’s treasured secrets—a place where tranquility is not manufactured but simply exists. Everyone knows one another, hospitality is part of daily life, and visitors often fnd a few days is not enough. The longer they stay, the stronger the desire to return. It is a rhythm that encourages connection, simplicity, and an unhurried way of life that defnes the island’s character.
A marine paradise, South Caicos is the fshing capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters rich with marine life, it offers an authentic Caribbean experience increasingly rare among crowded destinations. Its unspoiled waters and quiet atmosphere make it a refuge for those seeking authenticity. The landscape remains largely unspoiled, preserving its natural rhythm.
Anchoring the island’s luxury hospitality are Salterra Resort & Spa and Sailrock South Caicos. Both blend refned

accommodations, world-class dining, spa experiences, and attentive service, where luxury feels effortless and connected to nature. Each property refects a distinct expression of island elegance and understated sophistication.
Guests can take private boat excursions to secluded beaches, untouched cays, and coral reefs. Nearby islands reveal pristine sands, conch shells, protected iguana habitats, and shallow waters where starfsh, sand dollars, and tropical fsh are easily seen. Each journey feels private, immersive, and shaped by the rhythm of the sea.
Accessibility has improved. Travelers can fy directly from Miami to Norman B. Saunders International Airport, or connect through Providenciales for a short fight or ferry to South Caicos.
Once on the island, the pace shifts immediately. There are no traffc jams or crowds. Golf carts move along quiet roads, donkeys wander freely, and pink famingos mark the landscape. Nature remains dominant. The environment feels untouched and refreshingly free from modern pace.
South Caicos’s history is tied to the salt industry that shaped the Turks and Caicos Islands. Its salinas remain defning features, providing habitats for famingos and migratory birds, and refecting the island’s heritage. These landscapes continue to defne both ecology and cultural memory.

The South Caicos Regatta is the island’s longest-running cultural festival. Held annually over three days, it celebrates heritage, community, and maritime culture with sailing, music, and performances. Regatta Village honors Queen Elizabeth II’s historic visit.
The 2027 event is expected in late May, aligned with Commonwealth Day and National Heroes Day. It remains a cornerstone of island identity and a major highlight of the annual cultural calendar.
Despite growing recognition, South Caicos remains authentic. Horses and donkeys rest under sea grape trees, waves invite slow swims, and life unfolds with ease. Locals are warm and welcoming, and conversations often become lasting memories. It refects a slower pace of life rarely found today. The pace here seems to encourage a deeper appreciation of surroundings.
Culinary offerings highlight fresh lobster, conch, and locally caught fsh, prepared in both traditional and modern styles. From resort dining to local establishments, hospitality and favor stand out everywhere. Menus emphasize freshness, simplicity, and island-inspired creativity.
For adventure seekers, South Caicos offers Starfsh Alley, The Boiling Hole, bone fshing, conch diving, and ATV or golf cart exploration across hidden beaches and viewpoints.
In a region defned by development, South Caicos stands apart. Luxury here is measured in space, serenity, authenticity, and

connection. The ocean remains untouched, stars shine brighter, and visitors are welcomed as if they belong. It offers a rare sense of balance between nature and luxury. Every moment emphasizes harmony between environment and experience.
South Caicos is anchored by Salterra Resort & Spa and Sailrock South Caicos, which defne its refned hospitality through comfort and natural beauty.
Salterra offers a beachfront sanctuary with elegant rooms, a spa, curated dining, and island experiences.
Dining at Salterra includes Brine Restaurant, offering refned cuisine and global favors, and Cobo Bar & Grill, serving beachfront Latin-inspired dishes with cocktails and wine.
Sailrock South Caicos sits above the coastline with privacy, ocean views, and a close connection to nature.
Its Great House Restaurant sits 25 feet above sea level, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic and Caicos Bank. The menu focuses on locally sourced seafood and a seasonal farm-to-table approach. The setting enhances both atmosphere and the overall dining experience.
Together the resorts offer luxury, privacy, and authentic island character, refecting the island’s broader identity of understated elegance and the natural beauty that defnes South Caicos as completely timeless.

There are luxury resorts, there are private villas, and then there is Beach Enclave—a collection of extraordinary estates in Turks and Caicos that transcends hospitality altogether. This is not simply a place to stay. It is a place to disappear into.
The moment you arrive on Providenciales, something changes. There are no crowded lobbies, no schedules, no rush. Time slows. Your shoulders relax. Conversations become quieter. You begin hearing the wind, the ocean, and yourself again.
At Beach Enclave, luxury is not measured by marble or square footage. It is measured by privacy, space, and the rare feeling that an entire corner of paradise exists solely for you.
Each Beach Enclave property offers a completely different experience, as though three distinct worlds exist on one island.
At Beach Enclave North Shore, the sensation is nothing short of breathtaking. Perched dramatically above sea level on a secluded cliffside, the villas appear to foat between sky and sea. From your bedroom, the panoramic turquoise horizon stretches endlessly before you, creating the surreal feeling that you are suspended above the ocean itself.

This is perhaps the most romantic setting in Turks and Caicos.
The intimate collection of villas is hidden among lush tropical landscaping that creates exceptional privacy. Days unfold slowly beside infnity pools and expansive terraces overlooking protected waters teeming with vibrant marine life. Some of the island’s fnest snorkeling lies just offshore, where coral reefs and tropical fsh thrive in calm, crystal-clear waters.
At sunset, guests gather at The Bluff Bar & Restaurant, where Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, freshly caught seafood, and spectacular ocean views create unforgettable evenings. As the sun melts into the horizon, the scene becomes one of the most picturesque dining experiences in the Caribbean.
North Shore is ideal for couples seeking romance, families seeking serenity, or even an intimate destination wedding where privacy is paramount. Here, barefoot luxury reaches its highest form.
A completely different rhythm awaits at Beach Enclave Long Bay.

Located directly on one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful stretches of sand, Long Bay is relaxed, breezy, and effortlessly sophisticated. Villas and beach houses sit just steps from the shoreline, where guests begin each morning with daily breakfast, personalized butler service, and uninterrupted views of powder-soft sand meeting impossibly blue water.
Long Bay is beloved by active travelers, families, and groups of friends who appreciate both luxury and adventure. The shallow, calm waters allow guests to walk remarkably far into the ocean, while world-class kiteboarding conditions attract enthusiasts from around the globe. Paddleboarding, kayaking, water sports, and private lessons make the beach an endless playground.
Dining here embraces the villa lifestyle, with private chefs creating customized culinary experiences within your residence. Yet some of the island’s fnest restaurants are only minutes away in Grace Bay.
Among the most anticipated additions is Ámbra Beach Club & Restaurant, Beach Enclave’s stylish new destination on Long Bay Beach. By day, Ámbra embodies relaxed coastal elegance with Mediterranean and Caribbean-inspired cuisine featuring fresh seafood, wood-fred specialties, handmade spreads, and vibrant mezze. As evening arrives, the atmosphere transforms into a candlelit beachfront experience flled with handcrafted cocktails, live entertainment, and an unmistakable Mediterranean beach-club energy.
Then there is Beach Enclave Grace Bay—arguably one of the most impressive private villa experiences in the Caribbean. Located within The Reserve, an ultra-exclusive fve-acre enclave steps from the world-famous Grace Bay Beach, the estate’s Villa 2 is extraordinary in every sense. Spanning more
than 15,000 square feet with seven luxurious bedroom suites, it feels less like a villa and more like a private resort. Villa 1 and 3 also feature ultra-exclusive tropical modernist indooroutdoor living. All three estates-are sunset-facing.
This is the ultimate setting for multigenerational family gatherings, executive retreats, milestone celebrations, or luxury destination weddings.
Yet what truly distinguishes Grace Bay is not its scale—it is its service.
Before guests arrive, every preference has already been anticipated. Favorite foods fll the refrigerator. Preferred coffee creamer waits in the kitchen. Personal butlers, private chefs, housekeepers, and concierge teams curate every detail with remarkable precision. Nothing is overlooked because everything revolves around the guest.
Across all three Beach Enclave properties, the philosophy remains the same: personalized luxury without compromise.
Whether enjoying yoga overlooking the sea, a private chef dinner beneath the stars, paddleboarding through turquoise waters, pickleball, golf practice greens, cold plunges, ftness facilities, beach setups, or simply watching another unforgettable sunset, every experience feels effortless.
Perhaps that is Beach Enclave’s greatest achievement. It reminds us what true luxury has always been: privacy, peace, and the freedom to live beautifully without interruption.
For those seeking one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive luxury escapes, Beach Enclave is not merely a destination. It is the destination.

Whether visiting the city for a theater weekend or an extended stay between seasons, AKA Times Square offers something the traditional hotel does not: the feeling of arriving somewhere that is already yours. Situated on a quiet stretch of West 44th Street, the property blends Midtown Manhattan energy with the calm of an accommodation that feels like a private residence.

Studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites as well as premium penthouses are designed for the way people live: open spaces for entertaining, full kitchens, dedicated work areas, and the kind of discreet conveniences that simply make life easier. The result is a residence that feels polished yet personal, an inviting retreat where guests can live, work, and experience New York with exceptional comfort and style. The property’s contemporary interiors blend clean lines and custom furnishings with a sophisticated residential aesthetic, complemented by oversize windows, a nod to the dramatic bay windows and arches that made the original 1849 Hotel Gerard the most striking building in the Theater District.

Elevating the experience even further, globally renowned Italian architect Piero Lissoni designed the property’s bi-level a.lounge amenity space and rooftop terrace, bringing his signature minimalist elegance to the public area that offers views of the skyline.
The property’s location is equally essential. In the heart of Midtown Manhattan, AKA Times Square places guests within walking distance of Broadway’s most celebrated theaters, Bryant Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, and major transportation hubs. Complementing this exceptional location and connecting guests more deeply to the city is AKA’s signature LIVE IT! program, which offers curated experiences such as private chef dinners and bespoke wine and chocolate tastings with New York City establishments, encouraging guests to experience the city more like a local.
“As pioneers in long-stay living, AKA was founded on the belief that accommodations should be designed around the way people actually live, not simply the way they travel,” said Larry Korman, CEO of AKA. “Our residential philosophy has helped redefne hospitality by introducing more space, privacy, and livability into our guest experience. At AKA Times Square, that approach is refected in every detail.”
AKA Times Square is part of a growing portfolio of longstay accommodations across 15 properties in seven key markets throughout the United States and Europe.

Key Largo is part of the long, sunlit chain of islands off the South Florida coast that stretches all the way to Key West. For old flm buffs, the name carries with it a romanticism thanks to the classic flm with Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart. That allure still lingers, blending beautifully with the island’s tropical scenery and easygoing rhythm.

The atmosphere in the Keys is relaxed and casual, centered on the water, the reefs, and the outdoors. For years, the hotel choices on the island were modest. Most visitors were fshermen and boating enthusiasts who needed only simple, practical places to stay. But with the arrival of The Bungalows resort, you fnally have a place that is Boho Chic.
The adults-only, all-inclusive resort has introduced a new level of luxury to Key Largo. Set on 11.5 waterfront acres facing the calm Buttonwood Sound, the property feels like a private hideaway where everything moves at a slower, more peaceful pace. Every accommodation is a stand-alone bungalow with its own private garden, outdoor shower and huge tub, creating a
wonderful sense of seclusion. The interiors are beautiful, stylish, and contemporary, with clean lines, natural textures, and a breezy coastal palette that feels both modern and relaxed.
One of the most striking features of the resort is its lush, meticulously maintained gardens. Pathways wind through palms, fowering shrubs, and tropical greenery that make the entire property feel like a botanical sanctuary. Tucked between the gardens and the water are small, quiet beaches that offer a gentle place to read, nap, or simply watch the changing colors of the sky.
The Bungalows also offer a wide range of water activities that bring guests closer to the beauty of the surrounding sound. Sunset cruises are a favorite, with soft light refecting off the water and the horizon turning shades of pink and gold. Kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling are available for those who want to explore the calm, clear waters at their own pace. The resort’s waterfront setting makes it easy to spend long, unhurried hours on or near the water.

The overall design leans into understated but high-end luxury, with thoughtful details that make the spaces feel like curated luxury. The resort features a full spa, two pools, including one by the waterfront where you can swim while watching another gorgeous sunset, and a dedicated Zen pool where hurricane candles are lit at night and you can swim under the stars. Guests can explore the property and surrounding area on complimentary bicycles, which adds to the sense of freedom and ease. Dining includes three restaurants that range from casual beachside Fish Tales, patterned after a typical taverna in the Greek Isles, to the casual, tree-shaded Mexican Sea Señor, perfect for lunch. Don’t miss Bogie and Bacall, a fne-dining experience for evenings when you want something more elevated. I enjoyed a fantastic bottle of wine that evening, Chateau Montelena, that added to my dining experience.
The Bungalows have become a sought-after setting for destination weddings and honeymoons. The combination of tropical scenery, intimate scale, and polished service creates a romantic backdrop that appeals to couples and groups of

friends looking for a fun and special place. Shout-out to whoever hired the musical talent, which is pretty fabulous and on seven days a week. The musicians and DJs create a St. Tropez kind of a vibe. Add to it unlimited Whispering Angel rosé and everyone is in a celebratory mood. Sunsets on the water and dinners under the palms are part of the appeal.
Key Largo has always been the gateway to the Keys, but with the addition of The Bungalows, a true luxury resort, it has become a destination in its own right. The island now offers a blend of laid-back Florida Keys spirit and elevated comfort, making it an appealing choice for travelers who want natural beauty, thoughtful amenities, and a touch of romance woven into their stay.

SOME HOTELS OFFER A PLACE TO STAY. THE BRUNELLESCHI OFFERS A PLACE TO DISAPPEAR INTO FLORENCE.
Tucked between winding medieval streets just steps from the Duomo, the hotel feels like a carefully preserved secret. Built around an ancient Byzantine tower and a medieval church, the Brunelleschi carries the weight of centuries with remarkable lightness. History is not displayed behind glass here; it is tangible in the stone walls, and it drifts through quiet corridors, revealing itself in unexpected corners.

The rooms strike a delicate balance between contemporary comfort and old-world romance. Rich fabrics, warm woods, and soft lighting create an atmosphere that feels unmistakably Florentine without ever slipping into kitsch. Open the curtains and the city arrives all at once: terra cotta rooftops, church bells, and the steady rhythm of life unfolding below. What so memorable about the Brunelleschi, however, is not simply its architecture or location. It is the feeling of intimacy the hotel creates within one of Italy’s most visited cities. After days spent wandering galleries, crossing piazzas, and lingering over long lunches, returning to the Brunelles -

chi feels less like checking into a hotel and more like returning to a particularly elegant Florentine home.
Luxury in Florence is often measured in terms of frescoes, chandeliers, and grand palaces. The Brunelleschi recognizes something more enduring. True luxury is the ability to feel connected to a place while remaining removed from its crowds. The Brunelleschi is the rare hotel that allows guests to experience Florence not as spectators but as part of its story.
In a city devoted to beauty, the Brunelleschi remains one of Florence’s most graceful addresses. Head to brunelleschihotelforence.com to book your stay.

THE NEW ESTATE AT 84 WAINSCOTT HOLLOW IS GOING TO BE SPECIAL, FOR EVEN THE MOST DISCERNING TASTE.
In every element and every detail, the home highlights the best of Hamptons living: a retreat where everything and everyone you love comes together, a sanctuary of stillness to restore and rejuvenate.
The design team behind 84 Wainscott Hollow carries a considerable Hamptons pedigree: It was built with the vision, integrity, and execution that defne Paramount Development Group, and brought to life with architecture by Peter Cook and interiors by Elsa Soyars, among the most venerated designers of contemporary Hamptons luxury in 2026.
The new estate is exclusively represented by Vince Horcasitas, who understands Paramount’s work frsthand, as well as the ambition required to bring a new-construction Hamptons estate of this caliber to life.
Past the gated entry and tree-lined drive, a central motor court introduces the striking contemporary home. At the main entry, vertical wood slats add texture, privacy, and architectural interest while allowing natural light to flter through. Interiors are an elevated,
designer-curated showcase of Hamptons elegance, with luxury imbued in every element—from the unmatched material quality and craftsmanship to the resortlevel lifestyle and wellness amenities.
The outdoors is always available on each level, highlighted by a central balcony patio overlooking the rear grounds on the second level. Below, there’s a private sports and wellness resort, with recreation space, a golf simulator, a spa-caliber gym, yoga studio, steam shower, and sauna.
On 1.39 acres, the stately grounds are handsomely appointed for a clean, countryclub-like lifestyle. At the rear, a private courtyard frames the heated pool and spa, with sun lounge patios and an open-air pool house, creating a seamless setting for outdoor living, dining, and entertaining. Beyond, a viewing pavilion overlooks the sunken pickleball court and open lawn for games.
The visionary modern estate is perfectly suited to its hilltop perch among some of the most iconic estates in the Hamptons. To the south: Wainscott Pond and the Atlantic Ocean; to the east: a working agricultural farm; to the west: reserve. Here, the Hamptons surround the senses: peace so quiet you can hear it, sunlit skies, sprawling acres of bucolic farmland, subtle salty breezes hinting at the awaiting ocean.
A true luxury real estate portfolio capstone, ready for elegant Hamptons living in any season, now and for generations to come.

BEFORE THEY WERE BROKERS
MOST BROKERS HAVE A ”HOW I GOT TO THE HAMPTONS ” STORY. SARAH DOUD HAS SOMETHING BETTER: A HAMPTONS LEGACY.
Born and raised in Bridgehampton, Doud’s connection to the East End is foundational—not branding. Her family’s real estate roots stretch back to her great-great-grandfather, a Bridgehampton potato farmer and landowner, and continue through generations, with Brennan’s Moor still carrying the family name.
Her childhood had the texture of a Hamptons storybook: horseback rides on the beach in Sagaponack, a oneroom schoolhouse, working a frst job at the local farmstand, waitressing at the Candy Kitchen. Horses were always central. With deep family ties to the Hamptons Classic and her own experience riding in the event, her connection to the East End’s equestrian world was earned in the saddle.
b y d avid a nd R e W s

Before real estate, Doud built a career in broadcasting, where poise, timing, preparation, and composure are not optional. She is an Emmy Award–winning broadcaster, earning the honor for a story connected to therapeutic equestrian work—a ftting intersection of professional skill and lifelong passion. Like the best broadcasters, she knows how to tell a story clearly, accurately, and with the right emotional read.
Doud knows how to showcase the Hamptons lifestyle, sharing an authenticity and perspective that cannot be faked.
That storytelling instinct carries over directly into real estate, as she shares stories about the homes, lifestyle, and people that make the Hamptons so special. Doud frequently appears on podcasts, hosts her own, and brings the same natural ease to social media, where her content is somehow both cinematic and authentic. In a market where presentation matters, her broadcasting background gives each listing a distinct voice.
Today, Doud is raising the sixth generation of that legacy on her Hampton Bays farm, surrounded by horses, open land, and classic trucks—a grounded portrait of Hamptons life that is picture-perfect but no less real.
Before representing buyers and sellers, Doud had already been both. She has bought, sold, invested, and built herself, giving her a practical understanding of the emotional and fnancial weight of the process.
Sarah Doud does not need to manufacture a Hamptons connection. She was shaped by this place, raised in its traditions, and is now building the next chapter of her family’s life here—a perspective earned over generations, and one she brings to every client relationship.

In a market long dominated by industry veterans, Patrick Giugliano is proving that success in the Hamptons is not earned through age but through knowledge, trust, and results.
At just 34 years old and with more than 11 years of real estate experience, the Southampton local has established himself as one of the Hamptons’ rising luxury brokers. As a real estate adviser with Nest Seekers International, Giugliano is ranked among the top 1.5 percent of agents nationwide and has sold more properties in Southampton village since the beginning of 2026 than any other agent.

Few names in luxury real estate command the recognition and infuence of Shawn Elliott. With more than $7 billion in career sales and a clientele that spans many of the world’s top wealth markets, the president of the ultra-luxury division at Nest Seekers International has built a business that extends far beyond buying and selling homes. He has become one of the industry’s most recognizable fgures, known for his discretion, expansive network, and innovative approach to marketing while advising ultra-high-net-worth buyers and sellers around the world.
What has always distinguished Elliott is his ability to build relationships that extend well beyond a transaction. While his work takes him from New York and the Hamptons to Miami, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, London, and the South of France, he understands that today’s buyers are looking for more than an impressive address. They are searching for homes that enrich their lives and create an experience that feels effortless from the moment they arrive.

That approach is beautifully refected in two extraordinary residences at 2 West Water Street in Sag Harbor village.
Situated directly on the waterfront, these neighboring properties offer a rare combination of contemporary architecture, marina living, and the charm that has long made Sag Harbor one of the East End’s most beloved destinations. They also exemplify the caliber of homes Elliott is known for representing.
Residence A is a newly built four-level waterfront estate spanning 16,974 square feet. Designed by J. Bialsky of Bialsky Premiere Design & Development in collaboration with Hollander Design Landscape Architects, the home features eight bedroom suites, 10 bathrooms, approximately 250 feet of harbor frontage, and expansive indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces that frame spectacular views of Sag Harbor. A rooftop retreat with a pool and spa creates an extraordinary setting for entertaining, while a private deep-water marina with two 60-foot boat slips provides direct access to the waters of the

Hamptons and beyond. Smart-home technology and a private garage complete a residence that perfectly balances innovation with everyday livability.
Next door, Residence B offers a different yet equally compelling expression of waterfront luxury. Completed in 2023, the four-level residence spans 11,723 square feet and was designed by acclaimed architect Andre Kikoski alongside interior designer Sofa Joelsson and landscape architect Ed Hollander.
The home offers eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, one half bathroom, approximately 250 feet of waterfront frontage, a private beach, and a deep-water marina with two private 50-foot boat slips. Additional highlights include a rooftop entertaining terrace with an outdoor kitchen and the potential for a private rooftop pool, a Technogym-equipped ftness center, and secure underground parking for four vehicles.
What makes these residences particularly special is that they embody the lifestyle that continues to draw people to Sag Harbor. Residents can spend the morning on the water; walk

to renowned restaurants, boutiques, and galleries in the afternoon; and entertain against the backdrop of one of the East End’s most iconic harbors in the evening.
For Elliott, that balance between sophistication and authenticity is what makes a property truly exceptional. It is also what has established him as one of luxury real estate’s most respected names. Whether representing a waterfront residence in Sag Harbor or advising clients across multiple markets, he continues to connect extraordinary homes with extraordinary buyers while helping shape some of the most important conversations taking place in luxury real estate today.

FAIR MARKET VALUE TURNS LONG ISLAND REAL ESTATE INTO COMEDY GOLD

There was a time when audiences went to the movies simply to laugh, escape, and enjoy characters who felt larger than life while remaining completely relatable. Fair Market Value, produced by Judy San Roman and Reelhouse Productions, beautifully revives that tradition with a sophisticated, female-driven romantic comedy set against the glamorous backdrop of Long Island’s legendary Gold Coast.
Filmed throughout Long Island and the Hamptons, the movie captures the elegance, ambition, and intensity that defne the world of luxury real estate. Beyond the sprawling estates, designer interiors, and multimillion-dollar listings lies a far more entertaining reality—the emotional complexities, ferce competition, and personal reinvention that unfold inside one of the most demanding professions imaginable.
At the center of the story is Kendall, played by Argentine Hollywood star Luisana Lopilato. Lopilato delivers a standout performance flled with charisma, warmth, comedic timing, and undeniable screen presence. As a successful Miami real estate agent relocating to Long Island to join the prestigious Atlantic Shores Realty, Kendall quickly discovers that selling luxury homes is only part of the challenge. Her greatest obstacle comes in the form of Brooke, portrayed brilliantly by Tina Benko, whose tension-flled dynamic with Kendall fuels much of the flm’s wit, humor, and emotional depth. Forced to collaborate on the sale of an elite Long Island estate, the two women navigate professional rivalry,

personal insecurities, unexpected friendship, and romantic complications with hilarious and heartfelt results.
The supporting cast elevates the flm even further. Craig Bierko (Cinderella Man) delivers effortless charm and sharp comedic energy, while Julia Duffy (The Bob Newhart Show, Shameless) brings sophistication and impeccable timing to every scene. Debra Jo Rupp (That ’70s Show) is absolutely hysterical, adding scene-stealing moments throughout the flm. Together, the ensemble creates a fast-paced comedy flled with memorable one-liners, awkward encounters, and the kind of authentic humor audiences rarely experience anymore.
What makes Fair Market Value especially appealing is its authenticity. Anyone familiar with Long Island real estate culture will instantly recognize the personalities, rivalries, and largerthan-life situations unfolding behind all the open houses and high-stakes negotiations. The flm cleverly exposes the emotional side of the business while never losing its lighthearted spirit.

For years, luxury was measured by larger homes, coveted addresses, and exclusive amenities. Today, a growing number of affuent individuals are asking a different question: How does a place make me feel?
That shift is helping reshape travel, hospitality, and even where people choose to spend signifcant portions of their lives. Increasingly, the most sought-after destinations are those that offer something more meaningful than a beautiful setting alone: a genuine sense of well-being. Few places embody that philosophy quite like Crete. Greece’s largest island has long been celebrated for its dra-

matic coastline, rich cultural heritage, and relaxed rhythm of life. Yet beyond its postcard-worthy scenery lies something increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced world: a lifestyle centered on connection, movement, and everyday enjoyment. It is also home to one of the world’s most-studied longevity regimens, where many of the habits associated with healthy aging remain deeply ingrained in everyday life. On Crete, wellness isn’t so much a pursuit as a by-product of how people live. Days unfold outdoors, whether through a morning swim in the sea, a walk along the waterfront, an afternoon spent on the water, or a leisurely meal shared with family and friends.
The island’s celebrated Mediterranean diet, rooted in fresh seafood, olive oil, and locally grown produce, remains one of its defning characteristics.
It’s no surprise, then, that more buyers are looking beyond the traditional holiday home and toward a more permanent connection with the island.
Communities such as Elounda Hills, a new waterfront destination overlooking Mirabello Bay, are emerging in response to that demand, combining residences, hospitality, wellness, and social experiences within a single coastal setting. The development’s frst phase includes more than 130 branded residences managed by 1 Hotels & Homes, alongside the boutique waterfront Marina Hotel and 129-room Hilltop Hotel. At its heart is a 64-berth private marina and vibrant waterfront village, complemented by a mile-long promenade, beach clubs, more than a dozen dining venues, botanical gardens, a lively retail piazza, and a 20,000-square-foot wellness village.
The trend is refected in Greece’s growing international appeal. The country’s Golden Visa program was recently ranked the world’s leading residency-by-investment offering by the 2026 Henley Residence Program Index, while the number of American families securing Greek Golden Visas increased 49 percent year over year through the end of 2025. A signifcant share of Elounda Hills buyers intend to make Crete their primary residence, refecting a broader movement toward destinations that offer genuine year-round livability rather than simply a place to vacation.
Yet beyond residency programs and real estate trends lies a broader shift in priorities. Many are now seeking places that offer a sense of permanence, purpose, and possibility. In that respect, Crete is more than a place to visit. It is a place to build a life.

How do you capture the delicate, almost feeting life of a fower in a way that feels so permanent and emotionally resonant on canvas?
I only paint fowers I feel an emotional connection to, because I believe that when an artist feels something deeply, the viewer will too. I pay close attention to light—what a fower reveals and conceals. Painting extends time, transforming a feeting moment into something lasting. Through scale and the richness of oil paint, I give the fower presence and permanence.
When studying fowers, do you approach them more scientifcally, emotionally, or intuitively, and how does that balance shape your fnal compositions?
All of the above. I try to understand a fower on many levels—how it looks, where it grows, the landscape it belongs to, and the stories surrounding it. I observe, read about, smell, and live with the plant.
Through this process, I come to see it as a relational being rather than simply a subject. I call this approach foral being—develop-
ing attentive, reciprocal relationships with plants. That framework shapes my compositions, scale, and meaning. Some works are more scientifc, others more intuitive, but all are rooted in sustained attention and connection.
Your paintings feel incredibly lifelike; what techniques or processes do you use to achieve that level of realism without losing the soul of the subject?
I want fowers to feel as though they have agency, capable of growing beyond the canvas. I’m drawn to plants with scars, veins, hairs, and signs of change because they reveal themselves as living, evolving bodies. Compositionally, I often arrange plants so they appear to support one another, emphasizing connection. Technically, I paint in layers, beginning with underpainting and building translucent glazes to create depth, light, and movement. That process mirrors the way I slowly come to know the plant, making the realism both visual and relational.
Kate, fowers often symbolize deeper themes—how do you choose which blooms to paint, and what stories or meanings are you hoping to convey through them?
I don’t begin with symbolism. The starting point is always emotional resonance. Sometimes I’m drawn to a plant’s rarity, place, or history; other times the connection is less explainable. Through hours of observation and painting, meaning gradually unfolds. The relationship is reciprocal: The plant offers me something, and I offer attention and care in return. My paintings become records of that exchange.

The greatest luxury is not what we acquire.

The red carpet is for arrival. The after-party is for transformation.
By the time the awards are over, the speeches are fnished, and the gowns have survived their frst round of fashbulbs, the mood shifts. The night loosens its tie. The room gets darker. The drinks get stronger. The real conversations begin.
For lighting designer and event-world magician Bentley Meeker, the secret to a great after-party is deliciously simple. “More shadow, less light,” he says. “If you’re going to an afterparty and it’s not really happening until 10 or 11 o’clock at night, make it sexy.”
Meeker has spent 35 years making rooms glow, shimmer, smolder, and seduce. As president and founder of Bentley Meeker Lighting & Staging and Bentley House Studios, he has created lighting environments for more than 10,000 events, including galas, concerts, fashion shows, Broadway and movie premieres, private parties, and product launches. His personal client list includes Paul McCartney, Prince, Rihanna, Earth Wind & Fire, Lionel Richie, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Wyclef Jean, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera, Karl Lagerfeld, and Alexander Wang.
His work extends far beyond the party circuit. He has exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Southampton Arts Center, the National Arts Club, and the CORE Club. He created “The ‘H’ in Harlem”; worked on Burning Man’s Temple in 2011, 2013, and 2015; and was commissioned by Michelle Obama to create a bespoke sculpture for the Nordic State Dinner. His book, Light x Design, offers an intimate look at the venues he has transformed.
But even with museums, celebrities, presidents, and rock stars in the mix, Meeker’s after-party philosophy is wonderfully human: Make everyone in the room feel good.
That does not mean fooding the place with light. It means giving the night atmosphere. “You probably want it a little more dim than you think it should be,” he says. “You can have the lighting change throughout the night, or you can create an atmosphere and stay with it. It depends on whether you want your event to unfold.”
The best after-party lighting, in Meeker’s world, is not about showing everything. It is about suggesting. Corners should
have a little mystery. Faces should be fattered, not exposed. A bar should glow like a promise. A dance foor should feel like an invitation. The room should make people want to lean in.
And while lighting is his lane, Meeker has learned a few party truths the hard way. “Make sure the music’s not too loud,” he says. “Have good audio. Have an accessible bar. You don’t want people standing 10 deep. Have accessible food, because after two dirty martinis, people need something to eat.”
Then comes his most practical, least glamorous, utterly essential rule: “Have enough ice,” he says. “If you run out of ice, 10 minutes later, you run out of people.”
For all the fantasy around after-parties, Meeker says the great ones are meticulously choreographed. When there are speeches, performances, reveals, or video moments, the lighting team is not winging it. “You’re down to the minute,” he says. “Usually, you’ve got a show caller. Everything is run through, everything is rehearsed, all the media is rehearsed, the speakers are rehearsed.”

That precision allows the night to feel effortless. The guests should never sense the machinery. They should feel only that the room somehow knows when to sparkle, when to soften, and when to disappear into the background.
Meeker resists trends. More often, he says, his team helps create them. “We approach everything from a completely custom standpoint,” he says. “We want to make every event its own bespoke thing. Then I’ll walk into parties six months after we do something and see it replicated.”
One example is immersive projection. Before the mainstream obsession with Van Gogh–style environments, Meeker says his team was video-mapping Monet’s water lilies for events years earlier. For him, the point is not gimmickry. It is emotional architecture.
That architecture can be extravagant. Meeker has worked on events where lighting and video-mapping budgets reached
into the millions. But he is quick to point out that intimacy can be just as powerful. “We start at $4,000,” he says. “We can come in for a small bespoke party, an intimate room, and make it beautiful.”
After thousands of events, does he still get dazzled? Sometimes, yes. “I look around and think, Holy shit,” he says. “This is one of the great rooms on planet Earth tonight, and I’m in it.”
That may be the real secret of after-party lighting. It is not just about making the room look expensive. It is about making everyone inside feel as if they have slipped behind the curtain and into the private glow of the night.

When you’re a writer on book tour, people sometimes say funny things. I’ve heard: “Once I got past the boring part, your book was really good.” Or: “You should write my life story, and we can split the profts.” And a comment I get quite often: “You’re so upbeat and cheerful, John, but your books are so dark and creepy, I’m afraid to read them.”
Hey, I get why readers craving a lighter escape might hesitate when my previous suspense novels include Help for the Haunted, inspired in part by real-life ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren, complete with a possessed doll in the basement. Then there’s Strange But True (adapted into the 2019 Lionsgate flm starring Margaret Qualley, Amy Ryan, Blythe Danner, Brian Cox, Greg Kinnear, and Nick Robinson), about a family grieving the son they lost on prom night when his former girlfriend makes an announcement that puts them on the path of murder and revenge.

Men but focused on the women!
Enter Single Girls, out this summer, my novel about Helen Gurley Brown and the extraordinary team of women she assembled in the 1960s to transform Cosmopolitan into one of the best-selling magazines in the world. The book features Liz Smith, the famed gossip columnist, who was entertainment editor when Helen took the reins. It also features a champagne-glass hot tub, a nude group-therapy session, and—what novel about the magazine would be complete without it?— a great big Cosmo quiz for readers.
I know … I know … Quite a detour from my previous work. But the world seems plenty dark on its own, so I decided it was high time I wrote this happier book.
Not exactly light-hearted romps!
Still, whenever someone mentions their hesitation about cracking open one of my more sinister reads, I can’t help feeling I’ve let them down. Over the years, that comment has nudged a secret idea for a novel I’d long wanted to write. The book I envisioned would be joyful and sparkling—a story that ran on charm and humor, the sort that called for a bright pink cover and a swinging 1960s vibe that screamed Mad
”Irresistibly fun and sparkling you’ll want to binge it in one night. Brilliant!”
Kevin Kwan
Single Girls feels especially personal to me, because back in the ’90s, while HGB was still editor-in-chief, I was hired out of graduate school at New York University to open packages in the books department at Cosmo. I thought I might hang around for a few weeks, but stayed 23 years, quickly working my way up to books editor, brand director, executive editor, and editor-at-large. As much as I enjoy my quiet days spent writing, I also love getting out on the road to meet book lovers. Which brings me to one of my favorite events: Hamptons Authors Night. I love the unique mix of readers, librarians, booksellers, and fellow writers, and that moment when a book

written alone in a quiet room suddenly becomes something shared, talked about, and very much alive.
Also, I’ve found that summer in the Hamptons has a way of loosening things. I don’t know about you, but I tend to stay up too late, sometimes sip a little too much rosé, or, as was the case last summer, fnd myself on a tube hitched to the back of a neighbor’s speedboat being whipped around Peconic Bay.
Oh, and I confess to taking off my clothes when I shouldn’t.
Back at my frst Authors Night in 2013, after the bustling book signing under the tent, I was one of a group of authors invited for dinner at a beautiful home in East Hampton. There we all were, attired in our summer best, mingling in the warm evening air under the stars, the host’s glorious pool
looking lonely as can be. I kept saying, “How can no one be swimming right now? It’s too beautiful an evening not to swim.” And then, I simply could not help myself: I stripped down to my underwear and jumped in.
I thought for sure someone would join me, but no. Everyone kept their clothes on. A waiter brought me a towel on a tray and told me I was wanted inside for photos. Oops. I hurriedly dried myself off and dressed and posed for pictures.
My social gaffe aside, I’m very much looking forward to being back at Authors Night this summer, and to signing books under the tent and chatting with readers and fellow writers. And if someone tells me they’re too scared to read my books, I’ll no longer feel bad about it.
Instead, I’ll hold up a bright pink copy of Single Girls , with Helen Gurley Brown on the cover, her heels kicked up as she sips a glass of bubbly, and say, “I’ve got just the book for you!”
And I’ll do my best to keep my clothes on while I’m at it.

In an age increasingly shaped by algorithms and artifcial intelligence, one lifelong value investor believes the most compelling opportunities still begin with something technology cannot replicate: human judgment.
On a summer afternoon in the Hamptons, conversations often drift toward the future: Artifcial intelligence. Disruptive technologies. The next transformative investment trend.
Bruce Galloway has heard them all.
After decades as an investor, corporate executive, and activist shareholder, he has come to appreciate a simple reality: While markets evolve, human nature rarely does. In today’s increasingly automated world, that may be creating some of the most compelling investment opportunities of all.
Long before algorithms began infuencing markets, Galloway was captivated by numbers.
Growing up in New York, he devoured almanacs and encyclopedias—not simply to satisfy his appetite for information but to
uncover patterns, relationships, and hidden connections. Numbers fascinated him. So did probabilities.
That fascination eventually led him to the stock market. While most teenagers spent their free time elsewhere, Galloway was studying fnancial statements and valuation metrics. He was drawn to a deceptively simple idea: If a business was worth more than its market price, eventually investors would recognize the discrepancy. Even at 13, he was already thinking like a value investor.
Armed with little more than his modest weekly allowance, Galloway developed an early talent for poker and turned his winnings into nearly $3,000. His aunt, a stockbroker, gave him a copy of the S&P 500, which he read cover to cover before investing in what he believed were the six most undervalued companies in the index.
His affnity for mathematics earned him admission to Stuyvesant High School, where he achieved a perfect score on the mathematics SAT. He later attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges on a full scholarship. By then, he was already teaching fellow students the principles of fundamental and technical analysis.
More than half a century later, that same philosophy remains at the heart of his investment approach.
Today’s market looks very different from the one Galloway frst encountered as a teenager. Trillions of dollars now move automatically through index funds and ETFs. Algorithmic strategies react to headlines in milliseconds. Artifcial intelligence increasingly infuences trading decisions and capital allocation. While technology has improved effciency, it can also amplify momentum and crowding, pushing valuations away from business fundamentals.
For Galloway, those distortions create opportunity. Smaller public companies are often overlooked regardless of improving operations, stronger balance sheets, or attractive valuations. Businesses making meaningful progress can remain ignored simply because they fall outside the criteria that drive automated capital fows or traditional Wall Street research.
“We believe some of the best opportunities arise when markets become highly irrational and overly focused on trends and lose sight of fundamentals,” Galloway says. Since 2018 Mr. Galloway has been generating annualized net returns in excess of 50 percent.
That strategy is the foundation of Galloway Capital Partners, the Miami Beach–based investment frm he leads today.
The frm focuses on identifying businesses that appear undervalued relative to their assets, earnings potential, or long-term prospects.
But fnding a statistically cheap stock is only the beginning. The key question is what might cause the market to recognize that value.
To answer it, the frm evaluates potential catalysts such as operational improvements, debt reduction, management changes, strategic transactions, and capital-allocation initiatives. The objective is not simply to buy undervalued companies but to identify situations where a realistic path toward revaluation exists.
The frm’s philosophy is best illustrated through investments where market sentiment diverged sharply from underlying fundamentals.
One example is Chegg, Inc. As artifcial intelligence transformed the education technology landscape, investors rapidly abandoned the company. For many, the story ended there.
For Galloway and his team, it was just the beginning. They believed investors had become so focused on the risks that they overlooked the company’s assets, brand recognition, customer relationships, the ability to adapt, and a new transformative business segment.
A similar dynamic attracted the frm to WW International. While many investors focused on the challenges facing traditional weight-management companies in the GLP-1 era, Galloway saw a globally recognized wellness brand trading at a discounted valuation he believed did not fully refect its brand equity and long-term potential. Since the frm’s investment became public, the stock has more than doubled, reinforcing the frm’s conviction that market sentiment had become disconnected from underlying value.

Gary Herman
That perspective shapes the frm’s research today, as it looks for businesses whose market valuations appear disconnected from their future potential—whether because they have been left behind by changing narratives or because investors have yet to appreciate emerging opportunities.
”Machines may grow faster and smarter, but businesses are still built by people.”
Bruce Galloway
The same mindset guided the frm’s investment in Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises. When Galloway Capital frst invested in June 2025, the shares traded at approximately $0.60. As fundamentals improved and the company announced signifcant AI and data center contracts, investor sentiment improved, the stock climbed to approximately $17 per share—an increase of more than 2,700 percent. Though these businesses operate in vastly different industries, they share one common trait: The market’s perception had become disconnected from underlying value.
If algorithmic investing created one generation of market ineffciencies, artifcial intelligence may be creating the next. Entire industries can fall out of favor almost overnight while others attract enormous amounts of capital based largely on future expectations. Companies can be revalued in hours, often before investors have fully considered the long-term implications.
For Galloway, the environment feels surprisingly familiar. “The market is remarkably effcient at noticing what’s popular,” he says. “It’s often less effcient at recognizing what’s changing.”
To execute that vision, Galloway has assembled a team with complementary strengths, including Gary Herman, who brings decades of experience in restructurings, strategic transactions, and value creation. A licensed commercial pilot, Herman approaches investing with the same discipline, preparation, and judgment required in the cockpit.
Together, the team has navigated multiple market cycles—from the crash of 1987 and the technology boom to the fnancial crisis, the pandemic, and today’s AI-driven markets.
Their conclusion is simple.
Technology will continue to reshape markets. New trends will emerge. Machines will grow faster and smarter.
But businesses are still built by people.
And companies that improve operations, strengthen balance sheets, generate cash fow, and create value for shareholders tend to be rewarded over time.
For Bruce Galloway, the most compelling opportunities often appear when markets forget that. In an era increasingly dominated by automation, fnding the gap between perception and reality remains as valuable today as it was when a 13-year-old investor frst put his poker winnings to work.
And in markets increasingly defned by speed, Galloway continues to believe that patience remains one of the few enduring competitive advantages. For more information please contact Bruce Galloway at bgalloway@gallowaycap.com

Restaurants come and go, social scenes evolve, and every summer seems to introduce a new crop of places competing for attention. Yet somehow, Ian Duke has managed to do something remarkably rare. He hasn’t simply kept up with Southampton, he has helped defne it.
For more than 16 years, Duke has quietly become one of the East End’s most infuential hospitality fgures, creating destinations that have become woven into the fabric of Hamptons life itself.
As the visionary behind Southampton Social Club and the driving force behind concepts including Union Burger Bar, Duke has built more than restaurants. He has built gathering places. Spaces where families celebrate birthdays, friends linger over cocktails, visitors become regulars, and summer memories are made. During the pandemic, he also created The Coop, offering the community a convenient and thoughtful takeout concept during an unprecedented time.
The secret to his longevity is surprisingly simple: He understands people.
Over the years, Duke has worked his way through virtually every corner of hospitality, from dishwashing and restaurant operations to

design, menu development, event planning, and staff development. That hands-on approach still defnes everything he does today.
Perhaps nowhere is that more evident than at Southampton Social Club, which is celebrating its 16th anniversary this year. What began as a nightlife destination has evolved into something much bigger, mirroring the transformation of the Hamptons themselves.
The business has evolved alongside its guests. Today’s Hamptons visitors still want excitement, but they also want authenticity. They want energy without excess and sophistication without pretense. Duke has mastered that balance.
As the visionary behind Southampton Social Club and the driving force behind Union Burger Bar, Duke has built more than restaurants.
Every venue feels intentional. Every experience feels welcoming.
At a time when many hospitality brands are busy chasing trends, Duke has remained remarkably consistent. He simply continues to listen to his community and evolve with it.
Because while the Hamptons will undoubtedly continue to change, Ian Duke has become something far more enduring than a successful restaurateur. He has become part of Southampton’s identity.
His philosophy for the future may be his simplest one yet: “Phones down. Drinks up. Be Social.”

It’s all about the fnish.

In a city shaped by sound, Jensen Meeker’s work sits at the intersection of live musicianship and electronic rhythm. His path in hypnotic techno is rooted in years of drumming, music production, and performance across New York City.
“I’ve been drumming for most of my life,” Meeker says. “I started off really into rock ’n’ roll and jazz. I went to school for live music production and spent the better part of the last seven years playing the local circuit in New York City with jazz fusion and rock ’n’ roll artists.”
That foundation shaped how he responded to electronic music. “I was instantly drawn to the rhythmic nature of techno music,” he says. What stood out most was not volume or tempo, but continuity. “I kept hearing a song blend into the next like it was all one long track, and I wanted to know how.”
Meeker notes that techno culture operates differently depending on geography. “It doesn’t really have the same presence here as it does in Europe, where it’s much more ingrained,” he says. Rather than discouraging him, that distinction pushed him to dig deeper into what clicks for certain audiences.
Research is central to how he builds sets. “My process comes from relentless digging,” Meeker says. “Scouring
international labels, Shazam-ing tracks at the club, scrolling Instagram to fnd new releases.”
Meeker also focalizes context in his set construction. He describes DJing as a constant exchange between artist and audience. “It’s trial and error,” Meeker says. “You take a risk on a song, see if people dance, and watch reactions. And different cities or clubs might react differently to the same DJ.”
Meeker’s involvement in the club environment extends beyond sound. “I time the lights to the song, it’s like optical DJing,” he says. That instinct has personal roots. “My dad is a lighting director, so I grew up around that.”
Alongside DJing, Meeker is focused on developing original material. He points to the impact of playing unreleased tracks in clubs. “People try to Shazam or ask about something that doesn’t exist on any platforms yet.”
Looking forward, Meeker has ambitions that span genres. “I’d love to spend the week touring as a session drummer for artists, jazz, pop, rock, and on weekends doing wild earlymorning techno sets around the world,” he says.

Joseph Hernandez has built companies, taken them public, chased breakthroughs in biotechnology and health care, and helped move diagnostic science closer to patients. Today, as founder and senior managing partner of Blue Water Venture Partners, he is still doing what has defned his career: fnding and backing ideas big enough to reshape industries.
“We built our ffth SPAC company,” Hernandez says. “We’re in the process of executing acquisitions.” At the same time, he is also running for New York state comptroller, a dual track that refects the worlds of capital and public service that he has long co-inhabited.
But the origin story he returns to is not a boardroom, a trading foor, or a laboratory. It begins with a 7-year-old Cuban
refugee and son of a political prisoner arriving in the United States with little more than hope.
His lifelong debt of gratitude to the country that gave his family a second chance drives him, day in, day out. A proud product of Florida public schools, he went on to earn degrees in neuroscience, molecular genetics, and microbiology, as well as fnance and entrepreneurship, from the University of Florida. He later completed graduate work in chronic disease epidemiology and biostatistics at Yale University, and is currently pursuing global health care leadership studies at the University of Oxford.
Hernandez’s academic résumé is imposing, but it also explains the breadth of his career. He is not simply a fnancier
who found science interesting, or a scientist who learned capital markets. His professional journey began at Merck and continued at Affymetrix in Silicon Valley, where he oversaw the launch of a dozen diagnostic technologies. At Digene, he helped advance the commercialization of the frst FDA-approved test for human papillomavirus, a milestone in cancer prevention that helped lead to Digene’s acquisition by Qiagen.
Over time, Hernandez became a builder. He has founded, invested in, and led more than a dozen biotechnology, health care, and technology companies, taking multiple companies public on the NASDAQ and NYSE and ringing the opening and closing bells on both exchanges.
Through Blue Water Venture Partners, he has widened his search for companies and technologies. While health care remains central to his identity, he says he’s “focused on the areas that we see upside in growth, which are technology, artifcial intelligence, robotics, aviation, drone technologies, nuclear technology, and energy in general.”

that can be capitalized on.” It is the language of an investor, but also of a refugee who understands that history can turn quickly, and that preparation matters.
AI, in particular, has captured his imagination. “Artifcial intelligence is going to revolutionize the world,” he says. “In the next couple of years, the impact of the tools being generated by artifcial intelligence will become far more visible.” He describes a near future in which AI agents can create business lines, develop products, and market them with startling autonomy. “We’re going to have a super brain attached to us.”
Where others fear AI, Hernandez sees inevitability. “You can’t stop technology,” he says. “It’s like a fast-moving bullet train. You can either get onboard and get the benefts of these technologies, or you can get run over.” He compares the anxiety around AI to earlier technological shifts that initially frightened people but ultimately transformed society. “AI is a tool,” he says. “The people and the countries that lead with it will succeed. Those who don’t will be left behind in the dust.”
That vision also shapes his interest in energy. AI, he argues, will require enormous new capacity, from grid modernization to small modular reactors.
For Hernandez, opportunity also lies in the geopolitical situation. “The world is certainly chaotic,” he says. “It’s something
That same sense of obligation has pulled him toward public life. “I want to run it like a professional fund,” he says about taking on the New York state comptroller role. The offce, he argues, has two essential responsibilities: the power of audit and the management of a pension fund he describes as “one of the largest pools of capital in the nation.”
His case is blunt. “New York’s headed toward a very, very bad fscal situation,” he says. “We need people who understand fnances.” His goal, he adds, is to improve performance and use the fund more strategically for economic development.
Ask him what connects the ventures, the science, the politics, and the pace, and Hernandez does not overcomplicate it. “It’s all balance,” he says.
At home, Hernandez is the father of Alexander, Sebastian, and Estella. Their futures continue to motivate him. For a man who arrived in America as a child with nothing guaranteed, his work is still about building a country worthy of the faith he placed in it.

Harriet Newman Cohen is no stranger to success. At 93, she is a formidable presence in New York’s matrimonial courts, and her frm, Cohen Stine Kapoor LLP, remains a fxture in the city’s legal landscape, handling the kind of complex divorces that make headlines but require discretion. Her latest endeavor, Passion and Power: A Life in Three Worlds, a memoir published by Bloomsbury that hit bookstores this spring, is no exception.
Cohen’s story begins at Barnard College, where she graduated in 1952 with a degree in Latin, a minor in music, and no intention of pursuing a legal career. “I really, truly felt in my heart in those days that I wanted to be at home, I wanted to be a mother, I wanted to be the one who managed the household,
I wanted my husband to succeed. That’s the way I felt in 1952,” she told Barnard College president Laura Ann Rosenbury at a freside chat. The intimate discussion at her alma mater was a full-circle moment for her, highlighting how far she has come and how much the feld has evolved.
After earning a master’s degree from Bryn Mawr College, she was devoted to homemaking. Though as the years passed, dissatisfaction crept in, and she decided it was time to carve her own path. Cohen told Rosenbury, “I realized I had to make a difference.”
While Cohen was resolute on going to law school at 38, her mother expressed concerns. But ever determined, Cohen told her mother, “If you feel that my marriage is so fragile that Phil
that Phil is going to leave me if I go to law school, I’d better go to law school because it sounds like I have a divorce coming.” With four daughters to support, Cohen enrolled in Brooklyn Law School, where she earned her J.D. with honors and joined the Law Review.
In the 1970s, divorce law in New York was still very much a man’s world. Cohen describes her break into the feld as “just fortuitous or divine or spiritual in that I was in the right place at the right time.” She explained, “I had gone into law school at a time when the only woman you saw in the law school was the secretary.” Her memoir explores that era’s gender barriers with frankness and humor, tracing her evolution from housewife to advocate. “I wanted to tell my story because the world I grew up in doesn’t exist anymore,” she said. “And I remember it all.”
By the 1980s, she was one of New York’s most sought-after matrimonial attorneys, working on high-stakes cases involving powerful, wealthy clients such as Tom Brady, Andrew Cuomo, and Alison Stern. Now in her 90s, Cohen still practices law and mentors younger attorneys. She co-founded her current frm with her long-time partner, Martha Cohen Stine, who is her oldest daughter, and with Ankit Kapoor.
Passion and Power is anything but dry legalese. It pulses with human drama and hard-won insight. She examines three cases in detail, each story underscoring the humanity behind the courtroom battles. “Stories are what the world is about,” she said. “My memoir is full of stories.”
Her passion for the law and belief in justice led her to tell her clients’ stories authentically. “I fall in love with my clients,” she said. “Their story becomes my story.” Her approach blends strategy and intuition, serving as part general, part therapist. “When the seas are rough, I can’t break down. I have to keep the ship moving.”

Audiences have responded to the memoir with reverence and appreciation, praising Cohen for her strength and vulnerability. An Air Mail critic wrote, “Come for the stories about what can constitute a favorable outcome in a settlement, and stay for the personal details about a life well lived and well loved,” while Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Carl Bernstein commends her “elegance and grit,” calling the book “riveting.”
Cohen is continually fnding ways to share her story. She will be attending the 22nd annual East Hampton Library Authors Night on August 8 to celebrate books and authors across all genres. As attendees mingle with the authors and
enjoy refreshments during the reception, they have a chance to get their copies of Passion and Power personally signed. The premier literary event provides a space for Cohen to connect with those who have resonated with her journey.
Harriet Newman Cohen’s Passion and Power takes readers through various seasons of life, from the “man’s world” of the 1950s to the present, when the defnition of family is everexpanding. At an age when many would retire, Cohen refuses to step down. Her move into authorhood marks a new season: one where she is taking charge of the narrative.

As summer returns to the Hamptons, Seasalt at Solé East in Montauk is once again welcoming guests for the season with a refreshed culinary program, a new martini menu, and an atmosphere that captures the relaxed sophistication of life out east.
Tucked beside the pool at the boutique resort, the restaurant has long served as one of Montauk’s quieter dining destinations, offering a retreat from the area’s more crowded scenes while maintaining a distinctly coastal sensibility.
Solé East continues to embody the vision established by cofounder Dave Ceva, who describes the property as “surfer chic meets bohemian shabby chic.” The approach remains evident throughout the resort, where understated luxury, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming spirit take precedence over formality. At the center of that experience is Seasalt, a restaurant designed to feel less like a hotel dining room and more
like the backyard gathering place that has become the heart of the property.
This season, Seasalt introduces what may become one of the summer’s most popular menu additions: the Hamptons Happy Meal. The offering pairs a lobster BLT with crispy French fries and an Aperol spritz, presenting a playful interpretation of a familiar classic. Equal parts indulgent and approachable, it refects the restaurant’s ability to balance refnement with the easygoing character that defnes Montauk.
The menu as a whole continues to draw inspiration from Mediterranean coastal cuisine, emphasizing fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients. Signature dishes showcase thoughtful sourcing and careful preparation, with offerings such as grilled tuna and monkfsh fnished with salsa verde highlighting the kitchen’s restrained approach. The result is a menu that

feels polished without becoming overly complicated, allowing quality ingredients to remain the focus.
Alongside the culinary offerings, Seasalt is expanding its beverage program with a dedicated martini menu featuring both classic preparations and seasonal variations. The new additions bring a fresh energy to the restaurant’s cocktail selection while complementing the light, seafood-driven menu. Guests can also explore a curated wine list and a range of summer cocktails designed for afternoons by the pool and evenings beneath the stars.
The setting remains one of Seasalt’s greatest strengths. Surrounded by gardens and positioned beside the resort’s pool, the restaurant offers a sense of seclusion that can feel increasingly rare during peak season in Montauk. Live music accompanies both brunch and dinner service throughout the

summer, while weekend poolside DJs contribute to the property’s lively but relaxed atmosphere.
What distinguishes Seasalt is not simply its menu or setting, but the overall experience it creates. There is a sense of ease that runs through the property, from the hammocks scattered throughout the grounds to the frepit gatherings and garden yoga sessions that have become guest favorites. It is a refection of Solé East’s long-standing philosophy of creating a home away from home for visitors returning season after season.
With its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, refreshed cocktail program, and tranquil setting, Seasalt enters the 2026 season as a destination that feels authentically Montauk. Relaxed yet refned, it offers the kind of dining experience that continues to draw guests back year after year.
As July 4 approaches, our East End summer is in full swing, with long, lingering beach days, jewel-toned sunsets, and balmy evenings under the clearest skies. We welcome barbecues with live music, spectacular freworks—and Early American–themed cocktails, of course!
Aside from the cool history, Colonial America was also a happy melting pot of English, Dutch, German, and Caribbean spirits and drinking traditions. Hard cider was consumed widely throughout the colonies—even more than beer—while the whiskey and brandy we enjoy today became increasingly available as domestic distilling evolved.
Unlike our elaborate cocktails, however, colonists tended to imbibe simple mixed drinks, such as punches and toddies resourcefully crafted with whatever ingredients were growing nearby. They used honey, molasses, and maple syrup (along with cane sugar) as sweeteners; mint, sage, thyme and rosemary for spice; and local fruits such as blackberries and peaches for favor and garnish.

So here we go. The Rum Sling is probably the earliest known American mixed drink, and is absurdly easy to make:
• 2 oz dark rum
• 1 teaspoon sugar or simple syrup
• 2 oz water
• Freshly grated nutmeg
Combine rum, sugar, and water in a glass, and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add ice if desired, then garnish with nutmeg. That’s it.

Then we have the Stone Fence, very popular in New England despite the unexpected, rather less than appetizing name. (I’m sure there is a good story there, though.) It’s also very simple to craft:
• 2 oz dark rum
• 5 oz hard apple cider
• Apple slice for garnish
Fill a rocks glass with ice, pour in rum and hard cider, stir gently, garnish with apple slice, and enjoy!

Moving ahead in time, creative bartenders today like to fashion more modern, favor-layered “garden-to-glass” spins on our early drinking culture, using elements that would have been found in Colonial-era gardens. This trend mirrors the broader farm-to-table movement that has transformed today’s culinary world. Created with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the resulting libations are original, layered, and visually striking.
In this spirit, we present the Colonial Orchard Smash. This one is just a little more work, but well worth it:
• 2 oz rye whiskey or apple brandy
• 1 oz fresh apple cider
• ½ oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and warm water)
• 2 fresh blackberries
• 1 thin peach slice (or apple slice when peaches aren’t in season)
• 3 fresh sage leaves
• 1 small sprig thyme
• ½ oz fresh lemon juice
• Crushed ice
In a shaker, gently muddle blackberries, peach slice, sage leaves, and thyme. Add whiskey or apple brandy, cider, honey syrup, lemon juice, and ice. Shake until chilled, double strain into a rocks glass flled with crushed ice, and garnish with sage leaf, thyme sprig, and blackberries.
And there we have it. Choose your garden-to-glass cocktail of choice, and let’s all raise our glasses to our long, vibrant, American drinking history. Happy Fourth to all!
