30 SoC students embarked on an overseas learning journey led by Mr Liu Zheng and Ms Elyn Goh to Cyberjaya Technology Park, Mranti Technology Park and Monash University Malaysia (School of Information Technology).
Edward Tan, Year 3 DAAA Student
Visiting Monash University gave me insights into its pedagogy, where it emphasizes hands-on teaching, such as running workshops rather than using traditional lecture settings. I also learned more about the opportunities available for its students to exchange study with their Australian counterpart By interacting with the student in Monash, I get to know better about the education system in Malaysia

Lee Ji Ting, Selina, Year 3 DISM Student
While visiting Cyberview, I learned about Malaysia’ s efforts to develop Cyberjaya as a tech hub It was insightful to see how the government collaborates with industries to drive innovation, which broadened my perspective on cybersecurity and smart city development

Rayn Azley, Year 3 DISM Student
At MRANTI, besides visiting their technology lab, I learned from Entomal (a biotech company) on how to use black soldier flies to reduce food waste and so provide a sustainable environment

The journey provided valuable insights into the world of cybersecurity, fostering collaboration and learning between women leaders in the industry and key organizations It was an inspiring experience that highlighted the importance of continuous learning and networking in the ever-evolving field of cyber defense
