Further, from Wind Rose diagram, annual wind share is dominated by South West wing and highest wind speed is recorded in June and July. Temperature reading for critical months of year, January is relatively cooler and might require some kind of protection.
VIROHANA
COURTYARD EFFECT: • Due to incident solar radiation in the courtyard, the air gets warmer and cooler. • Cool air from the ground level flows through the louvered openings of the rooms surrounding a courtyard, • thus providing air flow. • At night the warm roof surfaces get cooled by convection and radiation • If the heat exchange reduces roof surface temperature to wet bulb temperature of air, condensation of • atmospheric moisture occurs on the roof and the gain due to the condensation limits further cooling.

CLIMATE ANALYSIS
Along with natural features, climate data is also an important factor for designing a hospital. Diagram shows position of sun during solstice and equinox and annual variation in sun path throughout the year.
Enhancing mental health, as it is planned around courtyard and Green Spaces that provide solace and allows patient waiting, interaction and wellness known as ‘Point of Pause’
Open Green Terraces for Patients and families’
The patients who could feel nature around (be it in the form of trees or chirping of birds, cool breeze, sunrise, and sunset, etc.), required less medication
NEIGHBOURHOOD CONTEXT
• Passive cooling systems are least expensive means of cooling a home which maximizes the efficiency of the building envelope without any use of mechanical devices. • It rely on natural heat-sinks to remove heat from the building. • They derive cooling directly from evaporation, convection, and radiation without using any intermediate electrical devices. • All passive cooling strategies rely on daily changes intemperature and relative humidity. • The applicability of each system depends on the climatic conditions
Patients who could see and hear the surrounding environment recovered in less time than those living in a room with brick walls and no window.
