SW Utah & No. Arizona Implement Fire Restrictions
SW UTAH / NO. AZ Due to rapidly increasing fire danger, interagency fire managers implemented Stage 1 Fire Restrictions beginning June 1 on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and National Park Service (NPS) managed, unincorporated private, and State Lands in Washington, Kane and Garfield counties (excluding lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service, Dixie and Fishlake national forests in these counties), all Arizona State Lands including Mohave and Coconino counties, north of the Grand Canyon, NPS lands within Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, and all BLM-managed public lands within the Arizona Strip District in Arizona including Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. BOULDER - On Saturday, June 7th, Boulder Arts Council will kick off the first Music in the Park event with Innastate, an Indigenous reggae band from Albuquerque, New Mexico. The evening will begin with an Open Mic session hosted by Shawn Berry from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., Boulder Arts Council will announce the two recipients of the Boulder Artists Grant, which provides $2,500 to artists to help elevate their work.
