WAYNE CO. - The Wayne County Commission met Monday morning, February 2, approving minutes from last month’s meeting before hearing a presentation on senior services available in the county. Meradee Peterson, newly appointed director of aging services for R6 Regional Council, and Jill Fulmer, aging services program manager, outlined programs designed to help seniors remain safely in their homes. Fulmer described the Alternatives Program, which provides incomequalified seniors with in-home support services such as personal care, homemaking assistance and supplemental meals. The program includes an intake process and currently has a waiting list.
