Join Wayne County Interfaith Council in 75th National Day of Prayer WAYNE CO. - This 250th year of our nation will be an especially great opportunity for community members to come together and participate in the 75th year of the National Day of Prayer. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. on May 7, 2026, and will be held in the Wayne County Community Center in Bicknell. This year, the theme of the event is “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.” (1 Chronicles 16:24) This event calls upon people of all faiths to come together for prayer and meditation and is intended to unite believers in prayer and worship, seeking God’s guidance for our nation and emphasizing our country’s history. Board reports then took up most of the meeting. David Tebbs reported on possible federal funding for a jail expansion, ongoing work on the Stub Springs trail before Mule Days, slash pile burning projects, and delays on timber and wildlife projects because of limited Forest Service staffing. Jerry Taylor said overgrown forests are hurting water supplies and warned some areas could be out of water by July. He also said ranchers want more flexibility on grazing dates so they can move cattle based on weather

This spring, the storefront reopened as Blue Crow Gear, Gifts & Coffee as it entered its 10th year in business. “We never loved the name,” Caitlin said of Utah Canyon Outdoors. “It was hard to remember and kind of like every other ‘canyon’ name in town.” Blue Crow was a better fit.
