Hello Smithville Chamber Members and Friends,

August has arrived, and there's an exciting energy in the air as we begin looking ahead to a wonderful fall season in Smithville!

This past weekend, we had such a great time representing the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce at the Bastrop Homecoming Parade. It was a pleasure visiting with so many people and sharing the excitement about our newest community tradition, Meet Me at the Depot, beginning Saturday, September 5. We can't wait to

welcome everyone to this fun new event celebrating the history, charm, and community spirit that make Smithville so special.

Don't forget that our Chamber Ambassador Meeting is tonight, Tuesday, August 4, from 5:00?6:00 PM at the Chamber Office. Whether you're already an Ambassador or interested in becoming one, we'd love to have you join us as we continue building strong connections within our business community.

Be sure to mark your calendars for our August Chamber Mixer, hosted by Prosperity Bank, on Thursday, August 20. Mixers are always a wonderful opportunity to network, reconnect with fellow members, and welcome new faces to our Chamber family.

And don't forget to reserve your seat for our August Chamber Luncheon, where we'll welcome Dr. Molley Ealy, Superintendent of Smithville ISD, as our guest speaker. As another school year gets underway, we're looking forward to hearing about the exciting things happening throughout our district. With students returning to campus soon, please remember to slow down, stay alert, and watch for children walking and riding their bikes to school.

There is something special about this time of year. While the Texas heat hasn't left us just yet, you can already feel the excitement that comes with a new school year, upcoming community events, and the start of another wonderful season in Smithville.
