In August 2016, the Smith College School for Social Work initiated a yearlong process to determine how to most effectively achieve its mission "to advance the aims of the profession through education for excellence in clinical social work practice and through the development and dissemination of knowledge." A strategic plan will be essential to direct the ongoing work of administrators, faculty and staff over the next three to five years; the plan's priorities will benefit our students and, ultimately, those whom they will serve.
