A CONSISTENT ECONOMY CAN PUSH CONSISTENT IT CONSUMPTION
Dear Friends
India as a market is poised today from an overall brand perspective. Our consistent governance and democracy are very big assets along with the long haul of a political party in the prime minister’s office. Today half of the world is engaged in the war and the other half is engaged in eradicating pandemic. India has taken the side of the world to eradicate pandemic, fight against illiteracy, poverty, and corruption. So, today most of advanced countries including USA, Europe, China, Japan, Australia, etc. are looking at India to play a major role – starting from supplying vaccines to food to fodder, even arm and ammunition. Investors in this situation are thinking India a better place to invest and therefore our economy is growing on a pretty steady pace around 7-8% YOY, whereas other countries including China are growing at half of the growth of India. Where there is a huge surge in data consumption across world, people are looking at India to store data as many of the advanced countries including Singapore and Hong Kong have brought in moratorium on data centre built. Indian government on the other hand have brought initiative to bring in Data Centre parks and sustainable and green energy production parks to support the former. This is not only catering to the overseas customers and countries but also pushing the agenda of encouraging the growth of domestic digital economy. We have already entered the FY 2022 and from a broader perspective, we are entering into an economy of US$3.5 trillion. One of the largest on the earth – may be 3rd largest. When other 2-3 countries who are ahead– precisely USA, China or Japan, are very large economies compared to India, but these are all export-based economies. If there is any global challenge, these economies would not take time to collapse, whereas in India for next decade remain as self-sustaining economy as it has the largest consumer based. This is the reason why India’s IPL is the most coveted sport. Today, overall IPL revenue has crossed $10 billion which is very close to some of the European and American leagues. So gradually, things are becoming very king size and these are becoming natural as there consumption is very high. If we compare any project in India with projects in UAE, today UAE things look much bigger and fancier. But the cost to putting up those projects in UAE in almost 20 times than India. So the bottom-line is much better here in India than other counties.
