PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY Santa Monica police have released surveillance video of two men they believe brutally beat a man Thursday morning while he was working out on the 3100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. The video shows the suspects walking west on Santa Monica Boulevard near Busby’s West bar and restaurant around 2:15 a.m. Their attention seems to be focused on something out of frame, most likely the victim, who police said was clad in workout clothes, sparring gloves and wrist weights. The suspects, who police believe frequented the area for a few days before the attack, continue walking west, but suddenly turn back and head east toward the victim.
