Journaling is the crossroads of creative writing and personal documentary. It makes use of autobiographic and historic elements that we know from memoirs, autobiographies, archives, journalism, letter correspondence, and the history of writing in material culture. Our format is similar to many other writing groups, using assigned prompts for written exploration. Participants will have opportunities to cultivate and share their writing, with the support of the community that comprises the group. The writing will be done by hand (pen, pencil, manual typewriter) and on paper only (no electronics). This group of journaling adventurers will be able to develop comfort and confidence in the craft of manual writing.
April 2nd & May 6th
6:30 PM
Howe Second Floor Conference Room
All are Welcome! Journaling Supplies are Provided
