Emergency surgery: Performed immediately when a patient's condition is life-threatening, even when the patient is unconscious and cannot give consent. Examples include trauma and appendicitis.

Contact dermatitis - Itchy, red, inflamed skin is caused by contact with an irritant or allergen. Psoriasis - Dry, thick raised patches. May have a scaly or plaque-like appearance. Often occurs on the scalp, elbows, and knees and may occur in flare-ups.
