Christianah said, “I really wasn’t expecting this! I want to thank all my teachers for supporting me to get the grades that I got. I’m speechless!”
Students at The Quest Academy achieved a 100% pass rate at A Level for the 3rd year running and 100% Level 3 BTEC Pass or better, meaning that every single Year 13 student passed every one of their A Level and BTEC subjects. 76% of all results achieved were A* to C, at A Level or equivalent. 98% of all Level 3 BTEC grades were Merit or better, with 50% achieving a Distinction.
Andy Crofts, Principal said, “We’re really proud of the hard work and achievement of all of our students today. It has also been pleasing to see so many of them get their first-choice university destination and we wish them well on the next stage of their journey.” Quest graduates are going on to study at a number of top universities including UCL (Chemistry with Mathematics), Bristol (Philosophy) and Liverpool (Business Economics).
Aishwaree Mahadea achieved four As in RE, Sociology, Mathematics and AS Economics and intends to study Philosophy at Bristol University. Aishwaree said, “Being at Quest has been a hugely beneficial maturing process, but the teachers have played a really important part. Principal’s Message The Quest Academy is thrilled to have delivered another good set of A level results and some outstanding GCSE results that are testament to the hard work of students and teachers against a national picture of increasingly difficult exams. Our students have shown confidence and resilience and achieved the qualifications that they need to go on to further study. It’s no coincidence that as a result this year will see our biggest ever Sixth Form cohort, taking Quest 6 to over 140 students! We are also delighted that yet again every student in Year 13 has secured a place at university at some truly prestigious institutions including Durham, UCL, Bristol and Liverpool. However, we are never complacent. Every year we want students to achieve beyond their previous potential and work is already underway with our new exam cohorts to ensure they do as well or better this academic year. We appreciate all the kind messages of thanks from families and the students themselves and are proud to have been part of their learning journey.

Tia Pillay-Mitchell who achieved two 9s in English and Maths, three A*s, four As and a B said, “I’m really proud of my results and I’m grateful that we had such amazing teachers who helped me every step of the way. The Academy is really great and I’m looking forward to continuing on into the 6th Form.” Priscilla Asare who achieved a 9 in English Literature, 8s in Maths and English Language, three A*s and five As, said, “The teachers are really so helpful. I know I didn’t accomplish this alone and I’m so proud to be a student here!” Principal, Andy Crofts, said, “We are absolutely thrilled with these results which are fitting testament to the hard work of the students, their teachers and their families.”

The Quest Academy CCF - Fantastic Feasts and Where to Find Them On 8th July, three cadets from The Quest Academy deployed to Oakhampton Camp with Trinity School cadet force. They experienced life on a real army base and honed their skills at drill. Their week’s work took the form of experiencing a ‘Wilderness Living’ camp designed to enhance cadet skills and the basic methodology of living in the wild with only the most basic of equipment.
Barbequing fresh food in the open air at dusk before your own made basher and enjoying the relaxing company of your fellow cadets after overcoming trepidation at new experiences has got to be one of summer’s greatest pleasures.
As well as practising drill, field craft and weapons handling, our cadets have learnt knife skills, field craft and survival skills and lessons in the psychology of survival during the evenings in preparation for the course. They experienced the thrill of coasteering around some of the country’s most spectacular cliffs, honed their navigation skills in geocaching and gained a wealth of experience in navigating difficult terrain. Heavy rain over the course of our navigation exercise provided further challenges, which were met with strong
discipline and determination. One of the main objectives of the camp was for participants to attain their L2 Survival Award. Trinity and The Quest students are the first cadets in the country to gain this award, which is the equivalent to the Level 3 award for survival in the Royal Marines. Congratulations to Olivia Bull and Ryan Donnelly on achieving this hard-won qualification. It is a testimony to their courage, resilience, adaptability, intelligence and strong self-discipline. Lt. QUEST NEWS Sports Day On Friday 14th July 2017, The Quest Academy hosted its annual Sports Day, this year it was bigger than ever with students from Year 12 also competing for the first time. As in the past few years, the morning was taken up with multi-sports events in football, netball, cricket, rounders, dance, basketball and chess. All were taken very seriously with some fantastic effort put in across all sports. The afternoon was all about track and field with races in 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m as well as 4 x 100m relay as well as shot put, javelin, discus and high jump. The effort put in from all competitors was outstanding. The results could hardly have been closer as Livingstone and Hillary exchanged the lead multiple times throughout the day. Eventually there had to be a winner and that honour went to Hillary who won by only 33 points, we all had a fantastic day and look forward to doing all again next year. Hillary Livingstone Shackleton
