The Opening Song “I Will Sing, I Will Sing”

Today we celebrate the Grand Opening and Dedication of our new building! We will host a special dedication at the 10 a.m. hour with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by food, fellowship, and fun that will continue through lunch in the atrium and the plaza. Everyone is welcome, so please stay to celebrate with us.

Please make sure you pick up a Sunday News handout this morning. It details lots of extra programs between Sundays, such as the new season of Weekday Meditations. As we emphasize the importance of prayer this year, these meditations are an excellent way to incorporate prayer as a regular part of your day. Thousands have been listening, so why not join them.

The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give God thanks and praise.

All baptized persons of any age regardless of their denomination and tradition are welcome to share in the banquet of the Lord’s Supper.

The Celebrant now praises God for the salvation of the world through Jesus Christ our Lord.

On the night he was betrayed he took bread, said the blessing, broke the bread, and gave it to his friends, and said, “Take, eat: This is my Body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.”

At the following words concerning the bread, the Celebrant is to hold it, or to lay a hand upon it; and at the words concerning the cup, to hold or place a hand upon the cup and any other vessel containing wine to be consecrated.

Members of the congregation may come forward to receive Communion from the Celebrant. After receiving the bread, please go to the standing station on your side of the Parish Hall to receive the wine. Please join in the singing of the Communion songs.
