JOIN US IN WORSHIP
Today is the day we kick off the new school year. Today we will have a special blessing of students, teachers, and staff in our worship services. In many ways, this new school year will be a challenge, so a special blessing will be a great way to kick it off! Although Sunday school classes don’t begin until next week, August 22nd, families are welcome to visit our children and youth classrooms today to meet teachers, receive schedules, and register for the year. In addition to today’s festivities, we launch a new fall series titled Gifted. Gifted will be an exploration of the gifts we’ve received from God and the way we are called to use those gifts. In each of our worship services, the sermons will address the big ways in which our gifts are used through our church community, and you will be invited to consider how you can use your unique gifts in ministry here. I’m very hopeful that these next few months will allow us to deeply consider how we allocate our time, talent, and treasure so that we commit to a path that forms us in our own discipleship. Sharing our gifts with one another is the best way to truly grow as followers of Christ. I am so grateful for the gift of this church family, and I hope you are, too. Together, we are doing the sacred work of extending God’s kingdom on earth, loving God and our neighbors. Each of us have a part to play, and I’m looking forward to seeing our impact grow.

Utilizing readings from the book, Praying Our Goodbyes by Joyce Rupp, Hiltrude will help attendees examine their grief and recognize it.
