We’re so glad you’ve joined us at Saint Michael today. We’d love to get to know you better, so please take a moment to fill out the welcome card, either physically or digitally, that can be found on this page or in the pew back in front of you. Our Welcome Team members are in the hallways today to help you with anything you need.
Today is Palm Sunday, the day that begins the holiest week of the year. Holy Week is a sacred time at Saint Michael, and I encourage you to commit to the incredible experience that happens across four evenings: Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil. Beginning this Wednesday, April 1, these four services connect to form a single, deeply moving experience. I hope you’ll join us for all of them.
Please pick up a Sunday News handout if you haven’t already and join us for our special programming whenever you can, including our spring Alpha Course that begins this Tuesday, March 31, and is a wonderful opportunity for anyone seeking to learn more about God and our faith together.
As we prepare to worship together, I invite you to take a moment and center yourself on God’s presence. Worshiping, learning, and giving together help us grow closer to who God created us to be, and you’re part of that work. May God bless you today and every day, and I hope to see you again very soon!

If you desire a gluten-free wafer, clasp your hands in front of you with your palms down. Receive the wine by drinking from the chalice as it is offered to you, or by retaining the wafer, to dip lightly into the chalice for yourself. If you are not receiving, you may cross your arms over your chest and receive a blessing. If you are unable to physically come to the rail, please indicate to an usher that you would like to receive Communion at your seat.

Open for me the gates of righteousness; * I will enter them; I will offer thanks to the LORD.
“ This is the gate of the LORD; * he who is righteous may enter.”
I will give thanks to you, for you answered me * and have become my salvation.
The same stone which the builders rejected * has become the chief cornerstone.
This is the LORD’s doing, * and it is marvelous in our eyes.
On this day the LORD has acted; * we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; * we bless you from the house of the LORD.
God is the LORD; he has shined upon us; * form a procession with branches up to the horns of the altar.

The Gospel John 12:12-16
The g reat crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord— the King of Israel!”
Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it; as it is written: “Do not be afraid, daughter of Zion. Look, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!” His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written of him and had been done to him.
