FROM THE VICE RECTOR

The Rev. Ken Brannon

This week I am filled with gratitude. I am grateful for the construction workers and landscapers putting the finishing touches on our beautiful new building and grounds. We look forward to welcoming everyone into the new space on August 2. Until then, thank you for your patience as we complete the final details and prepare the building for occupancy.

I am grateful for your generosity, which made this project possible. Your gifts, prayers, and faith have helped create a campus that will serve our community and glorify God for years to come.

I am grateful for the children, youth, and volunteers who participated in Youth Mission Week and Vacation Bible School. As God instructed Moses, “Recite these words to your children... when you lie down and when you rise” (Deut. 6:7). Our staff, volunteers, and families continue to faithfully live out this calling.

I am grateful for Pub Theology, which welcomed our wider community into thoughtful conversations about today’s challenges through the lens of Christian faith, extending God’s good news beyond Saint Michael’s walls.

And on July 5, we will enjoy one of Saint Michael’s most beloved traditions: Pie for the 4th of July! Thank you to our bakers and everyone who will join us as we give thanks for our country and seek to live more fully into its highest ideals.
