We’re so glad you’ve joined us at Saint Michael today. Tomorrow, June 22, we conclude our Pub Theology series with Robin Hinkle whose topic is “You Are Not Your Brain: Neuroscience, Addiction, and Identity.” Save the date for one of our favorite summer traditions!

On Sunday, July 5, join us for Saint Michael’s Annual Pie for the 4th of July celebrations where we’ll be serving over 50 pies baked by our parishioners along with vanilla ice cream and popcorn. If you’d like to volunteer to bake a pie or help serve, please see the ad in today’s Sunday News, along with more information on programs throughout the summer.

As I mentioned last week, this summer marks my 10-year anniversary at Saint Michael, and I am truly grateful to be on this faith journey with you. With the generous support of the Vestry, I’ve begun a sabbatical that will last until mid-August. I am grateful to the parishioner and staff leaders who will carry my responsibilities forward. Knowing that our community is strong allows me to step away with confidence. This sabbatical will be a gift of renewal for the next season of our life together, one that I pray lasts at least another 10 years!

As we prepare to worship together, I invite you to take a moment and center yourself on God’s presence. Worshiping, learning, and giving together help us grow closer to who God created us to be, and you’re part of that work. May God bless you today and every day, and I hope to see you again very soon!
