“This body of work continues my ongoing interest in historical art references as well as a ‘Collage” approach to my compositions.
The new adjustments in this series include more references to contemporary culture, both pop and fine art. There is also emerging an “absurdist” element to the work.
So, I’m trying to remind myself to trust the process, whilst having fun within the work and let it dictate the next move. I still believe in the mantra that thought destroys painting.”
