Begin with a walk around your block to get your blood flowing, or for a more holistic approach, start your day with 15 to 20 rounds of sun salutations to energize and stretch your entire body. To add variety and complement your daily routine, take an intermediate vinyasa class a few times a week.

Drinking plenty of water is key for digestion, detoxification, and keeping skin hydrated. Proper hydration also reduces water retention and supports muscle recovery after workouts.

While none of us makes healthy food choices all of the time, organic snacks that include healthy dark chocolate, nuts, seeds, and fresh fruits like pineapple or cherries are great options to cure a sweet tooth. Yoga is an inside out “fitness”system. Practicing yoga asana ensures that your brain and all of the body muscle groups are being used because you must mindfully move into each pose. Yoga isn’t a “quickfix” workout plan, but committing to the practice and eating clean yields a very healthy and shapely body.

How do you stay motivated and consistent with fitness routines, especially leading up to beach season? Haha! I really stick to the eating and fitness practices that I am sharing here with you and your readers. I have two doggies, so I am up and out for mandatory daily walks. When food shopping, I buy only what I have on my list and dark chocolate is my go to treat.
