SCHOLARSHIPS CITYWIDE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ENSURES THAT QUALIFYING SAN JOSÉ RESIDENTS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PARTICIPATION IN DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS, CLASSES, AND ACTIVITIES. Scholarships are available for families and individuals who meet the qualifications. Families must apply in person at a community center during regular operating hours. Scholarships can be used at any program location and at all three of the City of San José Municipal Golf Courses (Los Lagos, Rancho del Pueblo, and San José Municipal).

AROUND THE TOWN CLUB Join us for a night on the town! This social club utilizes community activities which are selected by the group to improve socialization, leisure awareness and independent living skills. Try new things and explore your community with the support and encouragement of friendly, knowledgeable staff. The first night of program will be held at the Camden Community Center. Location thereafter varies based on participants chosen activities. Members must be able to participate within a 1:6 staff to participant ratio and be independent with their personal care needs. Everybody wants to have fun! Be social, make some friends, learn some new skills. This camp for teens with disabilities ages 12-18 and their non-disabled siblings and friends will provide a safe and structured opportunity to be a teen. Some field trips, lots of games, crafts and other cool stuff! Teens must be able to function in a 1:4 staff to participant ratio and be independent with their personal care, or provide an attendant. Scholarships are available for those who qualify: awarded as funding is available

NIKA NOORISHAD Therapeutic Specialist

Nika has been a staff member of the team for over 5 years. Nika currently works at Seven Trees Community Center, but has worked at Almaden Lake, Happy Hollow, and various other centers. She loves helping the community and is a big advocate for all of her participants.

NESSA DIAMANTE Therapeutic Specialist

Nessa Diamante has been a dedicated member of the Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services team for over five years. Based at Camden, she focuses on Therapeutic Services programs and actively fosters connections within the community. Nessa is passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can have fun and feel supported.

ALEXIS MIRANDA Therapeutic Specialist

Alexis Miranda has been a staff member of the Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood services team for over 5 years. Alexis is an outgoing team member always willing to lend a helping hand to her community and staff. She stands out with her creativity and vibrant personality. Plus a style to match!
