Caregiver parking and travel options
Parking – Important information
Ongoing construction will impact parking availability until early 2027, due to the construction of:
• A multi-storey car park (approximately 1,000 additional bays)
• The Orthonova Orthopaedic Hospital
Onsite staff parking is limited.
Staff are encouraged to consider alternative parking options, particularly for day shifts.
Onsite parking is first come, first served — no reserved bays.
Day shift restrictions
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 10:30am:
• No staff car park access (block-out period)
• This period is prioritised for afternoon shift workers
Night shift and weekend parking
• Onsite parking is available for night shift workers and on weekends
Caregiver parking and travel options
Travel Green Allowance (Option 1)
St John of God Murdoch caregivers only
The Travel Green Allowance (TGA) is available to caregivers who walk, cycle, or use public transport to travel to and from work.
Caregivers on TGA who do not park onsite will receive $6.00 per working day (before tax), paid each pay period.
Caregivers approved for TGA may access onsite parking when required, excluding the 7:00am–10:30am block-out period.
If you park onsite, the $6.00 allowance will not be paid, and the staff daily parking rate of $3.90 will apply.
For caregivers who cycle, scooter, or use similar modes of transport, end-of-trip facilities are available, including a secure bike shed and lockers. For further information on location, entry codes, and locker applications, please contact Security. TGA application forms are available from the Security Office.
Offsite
parking - 85 Prinsep Rd, Jandakot – (Option 2)
Free off-site staff parking is available at Jandakot (85 Prinsep Road).
A free charter bus operates Monday to Friday, first pick up form Jandakot at 6:30am – Last pick up from SJOG 8:00pm, transporting staff between Jandakot and the main entrance of St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
The bus runs every 30 minutes.
During peak periods (7:00am – 9:00am & 16:00 – 18:00), two buses operate in opposite directions, providing a service every 15 minutes.
To board the bus, present your Security ID to the driver.
If you are a caregiver and on a late shift and miss the final bus, attend the Duty Manager Officer, who will arrange a free Uber to Prinsep Road or home, at your choice.

Free off-site staff parking available at Wonnul Place (Lot 118), opposite Gate 3.
80 bays available on a first come, first served basis.
Car park access via PIN code 7943.
*TGA Caregiver not permitted to park*
$3.90 per day, deducted from your pay via payroll.
Parking permits must be displayed at all times.
Security ID is required to enter and exit staff parking areas.
If you forget your Security ID, you will need to use alternative parking, as access to staff parking will not be granted.
No parking offences on site will be tolerated, including blocking right of way, dangerous or obstructive parking, or parking outside of designated bays. Infringements will be issued accordingly.
