AP EXAM RESULTS - CLASS OF 2024 3
St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju opened its doors in the fall of 2017 for nearly 450 students in Prek3-10th grade. We are the first (and only) American International School in the Global Education City on Jeju Island in South Korea. We are modeled after our homeschool in the United States - St. Johnsbury Academy (Vermont) - a 180-year-old boarding school with a rich history of academic excellence. SJA Jeju incorporates and emulates many aspects of the academic programming of SJA Vermont, though we have the freedom to adapt our home school's model to best fit our context and community here on Jeju Island. As such, we largely follow the home school’s example in most aspects of our academic program, including: morning assemblies, advisory, conference period, senior capstone projects, inquiry-based learning, AP College Board course options and a two-semester academic calendar.

Now in our seventh school year, SJA Jeju has grown into a vibrant institution facilitating student success in academics, visual and performing arts, athletics, and a wide range of extracurricular activities. Approximately 1,200 students attend SJA Jeju from PreK3 through 12th grade. More than 410 students are enrolled in the high school and benefit from robust course offerings that provide a cornucopia of choices in core subjects, innovative electives, and AP options in all content areas. 12th grade students participate in a year-long Senior Capstone project - weaving together the academic skills and habits of learning that students develop during their years at SJA Jeju. Student projects feature an intensive proposal process, collaboration with a faculty committee, original research, intensive interdisciplinary writing, and project defense presentations - showcasing a celebration of learning achievement at the end of each student’s senior year.
