Let the glitter odyssey begin…
INTRODUCTION
Before I ever created any drawings for a coloring book, my mom told me I should look into creating an adult coloring book since they were a new phenomenon. As fate would have it, shortly after that I was contacted by a book publisher. The stars aligned, and soon after, I was illustrating my first coloring book: Color Odyssey
I was given complete creative freedom— a dream come true. I drew what I thought would be fun and engaging for people to color. Some of the designs were inspired by tattoo-style imagery, but as the project evolved, they expanded to include intricate geometry and whimsical and elaborate doodles.
The second book, Animal Odyssey, took that same spirit and applied it to the animal kingdom. I tried to pick a variety of animals— from the familiar to the exotic—and portray them in different styles so there would be something interesting for everyone. One of my favorite techniques was filling animal silhouettes with rich, detailed patterns.
My third book, Nature Odyssey, allowed me to depict new ideas that I hadn’t already explored in the first two books. Although a challenge, it became fun to find more obscure and unique animals and plants to illustrate.
Over the past ten years, it has been a real joy to see how others have colored my designs in their own ways and to hear how much they enjoyed the books.
Whether it’s your first time picking up one of my books or you’ve been coloring with me since the beginning, I hope you enjoy this special 10th anniversary edition—a curated collection from all three Odyssey books. Thank you for being part of this colorful journey.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he attended the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts High School and later, New York’s School of Visual Arts. An avid traveler and aficionado of all styles of tattoos, Chris has visited and worked in such locales as Japan, Singapore, England, and the Netherlands. He currently resides in New York City with his daughter. This is his sixth book.
