For 80 years, Fontana Forni has been synonymous with Italian craftsmanship excellence. Our roots lie in the traditions of the Marche hinterland and in the passion for good food and conviviality, passed down from generation to generation. With dedication and mastery, over time we have perfected the art of creating steel ovens, both wood-fired and gas, later integrating barbecues. Founded in 1946, the company is now led by the third generation, proud of a history of creativity and Italian tradition. We passionately craft sturdy ovens, made from carefully selected noble materials, capable of turning every culinary experience into an unforgettable moment of conviviality, taste, and reliability.

Giuseppe Fontana founded the company in San Lorenzo in Campo (PU, Italy). He repairs agricultural machinery and works as a farrier.
With the advent of electricity, came the first machines, such as drill, grinder, forge with semiautonomous systems.
Giovanni, Giuseppe’s son, starts to work in the company.
Bruno and Carlo Fontana became partners in the company and began the production of agricultural machinery with craftsmanship. The FONTANA brand is born.
The Fontana brothers open the first factory of 1000 square metres and purchase the first mechanical shearing and bending machines: the carpentry was born, thus starting thus beginning the processing of sheet metal
The energy crisis of the 1970s also hit Italy and forced the Fontana family to reinvigorate itself: the world’s first metal oven with indirect combustion was launched and with it the FONTANA FORNI brand.
The first trade fairs record unexpected order numbers: the industrialisation of the product with assembly lines and batch planning begins, but craftsmanship and quality remain the guiding lights of design and production.

Nicola, eldest son of Carlo, joins the company.
The Fontana brothers purchase a new 1.500 square metre building completely dedicated to ovens: the range is developed with different sizes and the built-in model.
It is the year of big investments: they acquired a third 1.800 square metre factory and numerical control machines, increasing and improving production.
Marco and Alessandro, Carlo’s other two sons, join the company.
Export in Germany and Austria.

GUSTO 80s launched, the iconic Fontana product.
Andrea, Giovanni’s son, takes over the company.
Machines are replaced by the laser machine for cutting and bending of steel.
The global economic and financial crisis leads to the total closure of sheet metal working and carpentry. All resources are invested in ovens. The production of wood and coal barbecues is started.
Export in USA. Start the export in all Europe, North America and Australia
Launch of the first direct fired oven made by Fontana.

Start the export in the Middle-East.
Launch of the gas oven indirect firing PIERO, winner of the Good Design Award.
Launch of the compact gas oven indirect firing MAESTRO, winner of the RedDot Design Award.
Today the company is managed by Giovanni, Nicola, Marco, Alessandro and Andrea, produces 11.000 ovens per year and has 1200 dealers in 40 countries around the world.

The models in the Pizza Oven line are designed for those who love outdoor cooking, combining speed, efficiency, and practicality. Lightweight and portable, they reach the desired temperature quickly, allowing that time to be used in preparing dishes, optimizing workflow, and turning every moment into a shared experience.
The gas models are designed in compliance with Australian and New Zealand standards, offering the same performance as wood-fired ovens but with greater convenience and faster ignition. Gas combustion also reduces maintenance: without ash or cooking residues, minimal cleaning is required.
Both wood-fired and gas-fired pizza ovens are made with topquality materials: high-quality steel, high-density ceramic fibre insulation, galvanised and Qualicoat-coated sheet metal for weather resistance, and Skamol insulation at the base, under the refractory stones. These high-quality materials optimise performance, ensuring heat retention and long-term reliability.

The innovation of our pizza ovens comes from the perfect combination of the dome-shaped cooking chamber and the Girofiamma system*. The dome, extending from front to back and from side to side, combined with the Girofiamma, forces the heat to follow a precise path inside the chamber, passing through strategic points of the vault and remaining longer within it. This system optimizes heat distribution, ensuring even cooking throughout the oven.
The exclusive smoke exit path allows vapors to escape even with the door closed, maximizing heat retention and maintaining a constant temperature during cooking.
The oven vaults are continuously welded by our master welders, not spot-welded or bolted, to withstand thermal stress and ensure long-lasting durability. Additionally, the 4 mm steel-corten or stainless steel flame guard completes the structure, allowing Fontana to offer a 6-year warranty on the vault—a symbol of quality, tradition, and innovation.

The Marinara, Mangiafuoco, Margherita Line was created to offer maximum versatility: ovens that combine the convenience of gas with the charm and authentic flavor of wood-fired cooking. Designed to adapt to every need, they are available in three different sizes, with no difference in performance: only the cooking space changes, so as to best meet each customer’s requirements.
Every oven is crafted with the care and attention that distinguish Fontana’s Made in Italy. The fire floor, made of high-quality chamotte refractory certified for food use, ensures uniform and flawless cooking, while the internal stainless steel structure and the external powder-coated galvanized sheet with Qualicoat treatment guarantee resistance to heat and weather (the use of a dedicated cover is always recommended to keep the product in optimal condition over time).
The ceramic fiber insulation retains heat while keeping the outer surface safe and never too hot to the touch.
The line is designed to integrate into any context: available both with a practical trolley – equipped with shelf, wheels, and tool hook – and in a countertop version, it offers maximum freedom of use. Not only that: the ovens are available in three elegant colors – anthracite, red, and stainless steel – to perfectly match any environment.
The Fontana Hybrid Line is the ideal choice for those who seek professional performance, refined design, and the freedom to enjoy cooking without limits, choosing each time whether to light the oven with gas or wood.

Why give up the pleasure of a pizza baked over a wood fire, even if you have chosen a gas oven? Or the aroma of freshly baked bread cooked over embers, while still enjoying the convenience and cleanliness of gas?
With Fontana’s new “CONVERSION” set, it is finally possible to configure the oven for both gas and wood use, leaving the choice to taste and needs at the moment.
The kit includes:
• a thick stainless steel plate to cover the gas burner,
• a wood-burning hearth,
• a convenient poker for managing the embers during cooking.
Use is simple and immediate: just cover the burner with the protective plate, light the fire in the hearth, and leave the space needed to cook the dishes in front of the oven mouth.
Important: the oven can be fueled with gas or wood, but not simultaneously, to ensure safety and optimal performance.
With the conversion kit, the Fontana Hybrid Line combines the convenience of gas with the magic of wood, offering the freedom to choose the ideal fuel for every preparation front of the oven mouth.

Retractable handles for moving
Compact, handy, and easy to transport, Maestro 60 is the oven that combines practicality with professional performance. With a useful cooking surface of 60x40 cm, it offers impeccable results in a reduced space, making it the ideal companion for those seeking versatility without compromising on quality.
Made of painted steel and stainless steel, it features a flue with a rain cap, a steel door with a cooltouch handle, and an analog thermometer for immediate temperature control.
Inside, a sturdy, thick stainless steel flame deflector optimises heat distribution and protects the vault from intense stress, ensuring reliability and durability. In addition, the Maestro 60 is equipped with Girofiamma technology, a system that allows heat to follow a specific path inside the chamber, passing through strategic points of the vault and remaining inside for longer. This system optimises heat distribution, ensuring uniform cooking throughout the oven. The high insulation of the ceramic fibre vault allows high temperatures to be reached quickly, reducing fuel consumption and ensuring uniform and flawless cooking.
