Today, the former Eleuteri airport is equipped to host high-level international events with facilities such as temporary stables, a fully functional vet gate for mandatory veterinary inspections, clearly marked trails, and designated spectator areas

The Vet Gate is a meticulously designed, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of horse welfare, race management, and official operations during Endurance competitions. A central feature of the Vet Gate is the trotting line area in grass, designed to be potentially infinite in length with no spatial limitations This expansive setup allows horses unrestricted space to perform the vital veterinary trot-up assessments. Adjacent to this, a dedicated veterinary control tent exclusively for officials provides a fully equipped, sheltered environment where veterinarians conduct thorough health examinations with full professionalism and focus.
A dedicated athlete weigh-in area is also integrated within the Vet Gate, alongside the Hyposensitivity Control zone, ensuring that all mandatory compliance checks are carried out efficiently and in a well-organised manner Communication and media activities are supported by a dedicated interview and media zone, offering a professional setting for press interactions, live coverage, and interviews.

The system operates entirely in English, and is based on Active Transponder and GPS technology for Live tracking (accessible via a dedicated App), along with RFID, a Microsoft Access® database, and ASP pages

Located near the Vet Gate, it functions as the central hub of Event Management, with live access to all activity across the course A dedicated display system enables the team to monitor every stage of the race and offer timely feedback to the Officials when required

Oversight of the Control Room is entrusted to the Control Room Manager, who acts as the main coordinator of all incoming and outgoing communications. The Manager receives real-time input and feedback from key operational figures, including the Race Track Manager, Show Secretary Manager, Loop Supervisors, Race Track Assistants, and other personnel. Based on this information, they issue instructions via radio and coordinate immediate responses to any situation that may arise
The C3 system (Command, Control, and Communication) plays a critical role in the real-time management of the event It is responsible for:
Receiving and evaluating requests for medical, veterinary, or other emergency assistance
Activating the appropriate Race Track Assistant assigned to the affected checkpoint
Dispatching relevant personnel (Loop Supervisors, Medical Doctors, etc )

An Endurance event requires the clear delineation of areas with varying levels of access, including FEI-designated zones with exclusive and restricted access, as well as other areas with controlled or dedicated entry. Clear, consistent, and enforceable access regulations are essential to ensure smooth operations, safety, and compliance
To this end, access to each gate will be clearly regulated through graphic signage indicating permitted credentials, and each point will be manned by trained security personnel to enforce access control protocols
In alignment with FEI policies and procedures, the Organising Committee will implement a comprehensive accreditation system to manage access to the venue and its multiple operational zones This system will cover all accredited individuals, including athletes, team members, National Federations, officials, FEI representatives, media, broadcasters, partners, guests, and suppliers, each with tailored access privileges according to their role
Accreditations will be processed on-site by a dedicated Accreditation Office, which will also be responsible for resolving any access-related issues efficiently. Our accreditation platform is a modern, high-performing system, designed to manage access and monitor movements within the venue securely and effectively It has been extensively tested and proven across numerous international Endurance events, and was successfully used during the Longines FEI Endurance World Championship 2021 This approach ensures that venue access is not only secure, but also flexible, and fully compliant with the expectations of a world-class event.

Fabric wristbands will be used to grant selected individuals access to designated restricted areas within the event venue. Each color corresponds to a specific zone, such as the Lounges, Press center, and other exclusive areas

It identifies vehicles authorised to access restricted areas such as the race track at crew points, designated parking zones, and other controlled areas Passes will differ in color and size based on vehicle category, ensuring quick recognition by security staff

Italia Endurance ASD is a non-profit amateur sports association affiliated with both the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and the Italian Equestrian Federation (FISE) The association adopts a standard accounting system and has extensive experience in the organization and coordination of Endurance equestrian events
