Walk Scilly April 2026

Page 1

This year marks Walk Scilly’s milestone — twenty years of unforgettable journeys across this small but extraordinary archipelago.

Guided by passionate local experts in nature, history, and the tales of the shipwreck isles, it is a festival unlike any other in the UK. Wildlife thrives here: whales pass through open waters, and seabirds gather in their thousands, from soaring gannets to the beloved puffin.

It’s a rare chance to step ashore on uninhabited islands and explore all five inhabited isles: Tresco, St. Martin’s, St. Agnes, Bryher, and St. Mary’s. Each walk reveals wild flora and fauna alongside echoes of history and the enduring footprints of past lives.

Beyond the walks, enjoy hands-on seaweed workshops, a beehive tour with tastings, a lively street food pop-up and a local beer and cider festival — perfect for relaxing and soaking up the islands’ unique atmosphere.

Choose a graded walk or speak with our Tourist Information Centre team to plan your Walk Scilly experience.

Come with us. Let the islands lead you.

Congratulations Walk Scilly!

A Guide to Walk Grades:

EASY

Easy stroll on road and path, generally level walking, no hills.

MODERATE

Fairly easy walk on paths but some will be uneven and narrow. There will also be some inclines; or some walking on beaches.

HARD

Fairly strenuous, several inclines/some hills and uneven, narrow paths (or when there is a beach landing off a boat); walking at a slightly faster pace. We estimate that most of the all-day walks (roughly 10.30am – 4.30pm with a lunch stop) are probably in the region of 5 or 6 miles.
