Simon Simoudis | Dancing With the Stars 2025 Australia - A Season to Remember
I, Simon Simoudis, just like many fellow Aussies, had been waiting for this finale for quite some time. The curtains have been drawn, and now we know who the winner of Dancing with the Stars Australia 2025 is And although it was very closely contested, Kyle Shilling still had been the forerunner since the beginning, and he very deservingly won it this year.
I, Simon Simoudis, normally don’t get enough time to follow and watch reality TV shows, but this one got me interested It was by chance that I stumbled upon the first episode, and I liked the contestants and the level of the first show. And it kept me interested for the whole season. I would wait for Sunday evenings to watch some great performances and glamorous outfits, not to take away a bit from the very impressive contestants.
After weeks of fiercely fought performances, just six were there for the grand finale. Everyone gave their best each week, and it was sad to see some eliminated every week Trent Cotchin, Felicity Ward, Brittany Hockley, Shaun Micallef, Kyle Schilling, and Michael Usher made it to the final round.
Kyle scored 40 out of 40 to emerge as the top contestant in the first round. While both Brittany and Trent scored 35 each, Michael got 28, Felicity’s score was 33, and Shaun got 37 Shaun and Kyle made it to the next round, and now it for the public of Australia to decide the winner of Dancing with the Stars Australia 2025.
And Australia chose the best, Kyle being the winner, with once again a stellar performance and his second-best, in the final with his partner, Lily Cornish. He celebrated his indigenous heritage in his final performance, and announced that he will donate a part of the prize money to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, an organisation that helps to educate indigenous children in remote communities.
Just in case you didn’t know who Kyle is, he is an actor and star known for his work in Home and Away To tell you the truth, I, too, didn’t know who he was the first time I saw him in the first episode. But I saw him work hard and get better with each episode. And when he was announced the winner, I, Simon Simoudis,
couldn’t help but clap for this man as if I knew him personally. Because I truly felt he had earned it.
If you had asked me just six months ago, I, Simon Simooudis, would be writing about a reality TV show; I would have laughed it off. But here I am, so invested in a dance show, something I haven’t tried myself all my life. But it’s going to change now, seeing people work so hard to improve their dancing skills, and excelling has given me enough motivation to give it a try And I am already looking for the next season of Dancing with the Stars Australia.
