The Oxford Art Gallery is a large scale art gallery located on the edge of Miami University My overall goal for this space was to guide the viewer through using layering. When one first walks into the space you are met with a low overhang that guides you into a wide open walkthrough. In the center is art hanging from cables. The artist, Kristin Romberg’s, work is features on large tapestries. Romberg’s goals when creating art is to make it more tactile. My goal throughout the Oxford Art Gallery is the same. One is then led to the video artwork as well as the statue garden. As the viewer goes to leave the Oxford Art Gallery, I want them to feel as if they have been immersed in the space

The Binding Bookstore is a Book Binding factory located in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. At first, we focused on two separate research topics One of us researched the firm Morphosis, while the other researched projects by Nicholas Grimshaw We each started with two separate diagrams based off of the architectural patterns we researched Eventually we combined our diagrams to create a unique structure that would sit on the roofs of pre-existing Luxembourg architecture. The site we chose is located in the center edge of a block of buildings Our bookstore pokes out atop the buildings below to allow viewers to peer over the street below. Viewers can sit atop the roof without anything blocking their sight Each section of the building is raised 1.5 meters to provide a separate experience in each space The second floor of the bookstore has the biggest separation. This creates a movement from the factory upwards toward the bookstore. Our bookstore and factory is designed in a way that follows the circulation of the lower levels and allows individuals to experience a different atmosphere in each space

My concept revolves around the importance of health and connection to nature. My goal was to incorporate biophilic design using light and greenery into a place where this is not commonly found. Clifton is a very industrial style city with a busy atmosphere that not only allows one to interact with nature in the plaza, but inside the building as well.
