Founded by Siemens Stiftung, the social enterprise WeTu delivers innovative solutions for clean water, e-mobility, renewable energy, cooling, recycling, and education around Lake Victoria in Kenya. Since its inception, WeTu has operated 16 solar-powered hubs, produced over 1.7 million kWh of renewable energy, and distributed more than 15 million liters of safe drinking water. In 2024 alone, the enterprise expanded electric mobility and cooling services and trained young people through the WeLearn program in renewable energy technologies and digital skills. The Impact Report highlights how these initiatives improve health, create incomes, protect the climate, and sustainably enhance the lives of thousands of people in rural communities.
