Welcome to the Activity Report of the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, the national organization dedicated to biological and biomedical data science.
In this Profile 2022, you will discover some of the infrastructure solutions put in place by our teams to accelerate the monitoring of epidemics in Switzerland by the health authorities (Swiss SARS-CoV-2 Data Hub), support Open Science, and enable personalized health research within the framework of the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN). You will also find some of the topics in which SIB and its community have gained international reputation, from innovative solutions for the responsible sharing of sensitive data for research on obesity or diabetes to the coordination of efforts to better understand cancer variants.
