Curriculum Enrichment Week
LIVE ADVENTUROUSLY 29 JUNE - 3 JULY 2020
Curriculum Enrichment Week takes place during the last week of the summer term. All pupils in the Senior School (apart from Year 11) are taken off the normal timetable and given the opportunity to try an activity that is new, exciting and perhaps something that they would not normally undertake. Past experience and feedback tells us that the pupils benefit greatly from these activities and it also gives them the opportunity to enjoy time together as a year group. There is a cost implication in taking pupils out of school, whether it be for residential visits or on day excursions, however, we have tried to keep this to a minimum and we hope you will agree it represents excellent value for money.
THIS YEARS ACTIVITIES YEAR 7 Year 7 pupils are given the opportunity to enjoy a two night break at the Phasels Wood Activity Centre in Hertfordshire. On Thursday they will visit Willen Lake in Milton Keynes to enjoy some water sports and will undertake an activity in school on Friday. YEAR 8 Back by popular demand, students will enjoy a five day residential boating trip on the Norfolk Broads. Students will enjoy learning life skills, cooking, shopping, teamwork, driving the boats by day and rope skills when mooring. YEAR 9 The week will start with school-based preparation work. Then on Tuesday, Year 9 will be setting off on a three day trip to Ypres and the Somme to visit the battlefields of World War 1. The week ends with an activity day.
YEAR 10 Adventure awaits on the shore of Christchurch Harbour where Year 10 will be spending the week at Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre taking part in a variety of activities.

Curriculum Enrichment Week represents an important part of school life and all pupils are expected to take part. The cost of the week’s activities, shown below will be added to your Summer term bill and is non-refundable.
