CLUB BIO

Founded in 1977, Oswestry Boys and Girls’ Football Club has long been a cornerstone of youth football in Shropshire, providing structured opportunities for children aged 4 to 16. The club grew rapidly during the 1980s, purchasing its own grounds and clubhouse through dedicated local fundraising efforts, creating a lasting home for grassroots football in the community.

As a volunteer-led, FA Charter Standard club, Oswestry Boys and Girls FC is committed to delivering high-quality coaching and development opportunities for around 500 local young players. The club currently runs 26 teams, including girls-only sides alongside mixed teams, reflecting its strong commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity.

With football available from crèche level through to Under-16s, the club also provides clear pathways into local Under-18 and senior football for both boys and girls.

BEHIND THE BADGE

Home Kit Colours: Yellow & Royal Blue

Captain Profile: Bethan Evans has been with the club since the age of four and has been an ever-present member of the squad. A big character on and off the pitch, she is hugely popular with her teammates.

Key Player: The team. Supported by the experience within the squad, the nine girls who started competitive football last season have made outstanding progress and been a pleasure to coach.

CLUB BIO

Founded in 1987, Bridgnorth Spartans was established to provide local children with opportunities to play and develop through grassroots football. From a small number of junior teams, the club has grown into one of the area’s leading community clubs, offering football across multiple age groups and earning FA Charter Standard recognition for its high standards in coaching and safeguarding.

The club expanded further in the 2010s with the introduction of girls’ football, strengthening its commitment to inclusivity and development for all players. More recently, Bridgnorth Spartans reached another major milestone with the launch of its first adult men’s team in 2023, followed by the creation of an adult women’s side and walking football programme, providing opportunities for players of all ages to enjoy the game.

Captain Profile: Faith Morris a positive role model within the squad, she leads by example with her commitment, teamwork and determination, inspiring teammates and setting high standards on and off the pitch.

Key Player: The whole squad. The team’s strength has come from collective effort throughout a demanding season. Their journey to the County Cup Final has been built on commitment, resilience and teamwork, with every player contributing and supporting one another at every stage.

Oswestry BG Club U15 Dynamos began their journey in this season’s SFA U15 Saturday Challenge Cup Sponsored by SEAH with a strong attacking display, defeating Wrekin Juniors U15 Lionesses 5–3 in an entertaining opening tie

Momentum continued to build in the quarter-final, where the Dynamos produced a dominant performance, securing a convincing 9–0 victory over SAHA FC U15 Lynx.

In the semi-final, Oswestry showed their quality and control once again, overcoming Newport Girls U15 Bears 3–1 to book their place in the latter stages of the competition.

A blend of attacking flair and determined team performances has guided the Dynamos through to the final, where they arrive in excellent form and full of confidence.

First and foremost, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to AFC Telford United’s Seah Stadium for the 2025/2026 SFA U15 Saturday Challenge Cup sponsored by SEAH.

It is a pleasure to welcome the players of Oswestry Bg Club U15 Dynamos and Bridgnorth Spartans U15 Whites, along with today’s match officials and supporters, as we come together to celebrate the fantastic achievement of reaching this cup final.

A special thank you must go to our match officials. Their appointments to today’s final are a testament to their dedication, professionalism and hard work throughout the season.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all clubs and leagues for their continued support during the 2025/26 season. Your contribution plays a vital role in the ongoing growth and success of grassroots football across Shropshire.
