APPLIED MOLDING
Applied molding door styles have decorative molding accenting the perimeter of the center panel. The applied molding door style options available from Showplace come in various rail and stile widths, flat, flat reverse-raised solid center panels, and raised solid center panels.

Beaded panel features evenly-spaced, vertical beading on the flat center panel.

FLAT PANEL
The flat panel family of door styles contains a flat center panel. Available in various rail and stile widths, some of the styles also have a flat reverse-raised solid center panel version.

WOODS AND SURFACES
After selecting the perfect door style for your home, your choice of wood species, or surface, and finish follows. Each hardwood species offers a wide range of stains, paints, and specialty finish options, shown on the following pages. In addition to standard and specialty wood species, we also offer a variety of slab, 3-piece, and 5-piece door styles offering their own distinct range of surface options including veneers, acrylics, foils, and textures, shown on pages 36 and 37.
CHERRY
The warm elegance of Cherry darkens considerably as it ages. Cherry’s fine grain often exhibits swirls and a flowing, random pattern. Its color varies from nearly white to dark reddish brown.

HICKORY
The outgoing extrovert of the hardwood family—dense, heavy Hickory displays vibrant grain patterns and wide variation in color. Lighter stains make this feature most evident, while darker stains tend to mute it.

MAPLE
The fine, uniform grain pattern of Maple tends toward lighter colorations. Like all woods, it will darken with age. Maple takes on a subtle mottled appearance when finished in darker stains.

RIFT WHITE OAK
The riftsawn method produces a tightly-striped linear grain pattern with minimal interruption from perpendicular rays or flecks. Known for strength and stability. Celebrated for visual consistency and accepting a variety of finish treatments well.

RUSTIC ALDER
Create an environment of authentic warmth and homey charm with Rustic Alder. Rustic Alder displays visible knots, mineral streaks, and color variation in the door frames and solid center panels.

WALNUT
Walnut has a variable grain, ranging from straight to highly-figured, and color, ranging from tan to dark brown to purplish-gray heartwood, and creamy white to blonde sapwood. A darker stain is recommended when less color variation is desired.

QUARTERSAWN WHITE OAK
The quartersawing method on White Oak yields material with distinctive grain and superior stability. Natural rays and flecks can be more prominent on Quartersawn White Oak running horizontally across the grain.

RED OAK
A time-honored favorite with prominent, distinctive grain character, Red Oak may show tiny rays and flowing patterns. It tends toward warm tones and is very hard with a high shock resistance.

SURFACES
Some door styles are offered in additional surface options like wood veneers, acrylics, foils, and textures. These options expand our offerings to provide a unique look and feel.

PAINT GRADE
One of our most popular selections is Paint Grade. Choose any color from our standard paints or pick a custom color. Paint Grade doors and five-piece drawer headers have a solid, fine-grain hardwood frame. Center panels and slab headers are of HDM. The entire door is HDM in select door styles, if even greater stability is desired.

CHARACTER STAINS
Some stains mute variations in wood—the darker the stain, the more variation is hidden. Character stains provide a rich, semitranslucent look that accentuates the grain and variation found in natural wood. Try it with one of our Showplace specialty woods to make your eye-catching cabinetry all the more noticeable.
PAINTS
Showplace painted finishes give the impression of a solid-color surface. Our multi-step process includes a final topcoat with an oven-baked varnish for superior durability.
Paints can be accented with no-charge, hand-wiped glazing or hand distressing on non-slab styles. Paints can also be specified in the Full Vintage, Refined Vintage, Brushed Glaze, and Subtle Aging finish packages.

Showplace distressing gives an aged, timeworn look to cabinetry, reminiscent of antique furniture. The process creates soft corners and profiles, and subtle, randomly-placed dents. Optional glazing accentuates these features even more.

HANDCRAFTED GLAZING
Glazing is an additional finish step in which a pigmented material is applied to the surfaces, then hand-wiped partially away. This allows the glazing to “hangup” in areas of detail, adding contrast and depth. Because of the handcrafted nature of glazing, it is naturally variable.
Showplace glazing is offered at no additional charge in these six tones. Glazing is available on most non-slab door styles, woods, stains, and paints, in satin or matte sheen.

We partner with the best for our drawer glides and door hinges: Blum. No more banging and less wear and tear on your cabinets with standard soft-close doors and drawers.
MORE SPACE
We swear the things we all like to put in cabinets keep getting bigger. So, we made an industry-best 13" cabinet depth standard on all wall cabinets. This better accommodates larger plates and glassware, along with more spices and anything else. Also, top drawers have a standard 5-1/2" opening height so your ladles and other large utensils won't catch.
DESIGN FLEXIBILITY
If you can draw it, we can build it. Designers can use modifications to customize down to 1/16" in our framed lines of cabinetry while choosing from nearly endless door styles and finishes in all lines.

OUR BRANDS
Showplace started in 2000 as a small semi-custom cabinetry brand producing 50 cabinets per day out of Harrisburg, SD. Today, we have around 1,000 dealers across the United States and make upwards of 800 cabinets per day. You can count on our 650+ employee-owners to produce quality cabinets across four different product lines.
Our flagship line started it all in 2000 and, to this day, is our most popular line. Cabinets are made of quality materials and provide plenty of options for customization. We consider this our most diverse product line, allowing you to make selections in line with your budget, big or small.
In 2016, we added EVO to our lineup. EVO is frameless cabinetry, also known as European-style cabinetry. Depending on your design preferences and, ultimately, the selections you make, EVO may be a more budget-friendly option than our flagship line. Contemporary styles are popular in EVO, but with our range of door styles and finish options, you can truly create any style from traditional to contemporary.
Meet the newest addition to our lineup, added in 2020. Featuring only our most popular finish options and limited customization, Longview is a great fit for simple kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms where custom designs aren't always needed. Longview provides the opportunity to get Showplace quality and the unique finishes and door styles you deserve, at a more affordable price point.
For over 10 years, we've been refreshing cabinets with our refacing line, Renew. Refacing is a great option for remodel projects when you plan to keep your existing layout and cabinet boxes, but are looking for an updated look and feel.
Get new doors, hinges, and veneers in Showplace door styles and finish options, including specialty finishes. Not all projects are a great fit for Renew, but when it works, you can expect a more budget-friendly option than all-new cabinetry.
