Mymartialartsjourneybegan in 1999 upon enrolling into a Shotokan Karate classtaughtby Sensei Callahan atthe SantaRosa Junior College. Thisexperience ignited aprofound passion within mefor karate. FollowingSRJC I've continued totrain inmany martial artsdisciplines including Shorin-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, Kubuto, andlai-do. After gainingtournamentexperience ata State and National Championshiplevel Ireturned to Santa Rosa where I gotmarried andpurchaseda home. After reconnecting with Sensei Marty CallhanatShotokan Karate LeadershipSchool, I was able to finally earnmy black beltinShotokan Karate atthe age of 45. Thisachievementserves as atestamentto the importance of perseverance in pursuingone'sgoals. Ihopethatmystory inspiresothersto rekindletheirpassion andcommitmentto their respective endeavors.
